21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how do you see the market? on: October 07, 2018, 01:49:43 PM
hy mate

I want to confirm if this is really the coming back of Ethereum, for the past several months it wasn't easy but now I can see that the market is gradually changing from the bearish market to the bullish market. presently Eth is $223.84.
due to my past experience once it get's to $700 i will sell to regain my lost which i have lost all this while, do you think i should do so or hold on since is coming back gradually.

what do you think?

Of course you should hold until eth gets at least above $500 (it seems to be a psychological threshold after which the price can skyrocket in just few hours).
Some say that bull run is coming in late autumn-early winter, so I would suggest you not to panic but just watch your investment steadily growing.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH so popular on: October 06, 2018, 08:55:11 PM
Eth has become popular, do you know the reasons?
I think people are too stress with BTC decreasing, then they sell BTC out to buy more ETh.
Being the main platform for ICOs, Ethereum is bound to alts, so when all projects started exchanging their eth to cash this lead to current catastrophe.
Of course there are traders who convert eth and all other coins to btc at whenever possible (since bitcoin is still the most stable and demanded currency on the market).
23  Economy / Economics / Re: War on cryptocurrency! on: October 05, 2018, 08:14:01 PM
Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?
Due to its decentralized nature crypto is practically uncontrollable - the governments cannot track the expenses and saving of their citizens.
Moreover, very often bitcoin and some other coins are used for illegal activities (drugs, weapons, pornography, terrorism), so by imposing regulations governments try to combat all these unplesant things.
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Evolution of Money on: October 05, 2018, 06:37:28 PM
Heyyy Guys , found this article really interesting :

https://medium.com/@arnoldmuimi/evolution-of-money-ba8609f5f198

What do you think ? This is how money was invented .
I'll tell you more - not only shells were used as money, but also salt and spices as these were limited resources.
The so-called "salt riot" in Moscow in 1648 started because the government replaced several taxes with a universal salt tax.
So money is something that is given a certain value by people, and this is clearly evident in terms of crypto.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new phenomenal innovation on: October 04, 2018, 03:57:11 PM
Today as we modernize some of the aspects in the economy like in the production wherein pneumatic machinery are being introduce. Thus, innovation has already prove its efficiency in the production which lowered the production cost. In the areas of transportation, there are cars also being introduced that run by a battery and efficient also and economy in terms of expenses maintenance compared to gasoline powered cars. Other than that there are already other inventions that promote the comfort of living in life. Thus, digital currency is another innovations. Could you consider bitcoin as the new innovations for fiat money? The answer will be used in my research term paper for the adaptation of unified digital currency that could be used by the people around the world.
Bitcoin is not only money, as we can see blockchain can be used almost in every sphere of our life (data storage, gaming, business, etc.). Some governments even intend to make the elections system based on blockchain (my country is among those and I'm really eager to see this idea being implemented).

Still, if talking about the financial aspect, bitcoin can be a real remedy for those who 1) want full control over their assets without banks asking them the purpose of their transactions; 2) wish to have a fully safe and reliable payments system (provided that they do not lose their credentials, of course); 3) think about the future of their kids and make regular deposits to their wallets.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin now in use Football Sports on: October 03, 2018, 08:15:23 PM
What a news!

UK based trading platform eToro signed an advertising deal with 7 Premiere League Clubs and paid them in #Bitcoin for the first time. So Bitcoin just got the Man Of The Match award.

https://twitter.com/Nebula_Exchange/status/1034722166502174720

What are you thinking?
I'm pretty sure this news brought additional attention to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general (so we should wait for a new portion of hamsters on the market Cheesy).
If seriously, this promotional step is of big importance as it shows how btc can be linked to various spheres of our lives.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now time to buy and hold altocoin? on: October 03, 2018, 07:49:37 PM
I think this time in mid-July is the right time to buy altocoin that has been popular .. to hold up its price rise .. because I observed already about 6 months bitcoin prices declined after the new year yesterday .. and now in the middle of the year when it will back up the bitcoin price.

What do you think?  is this a great time to buy altocoin?
You can try to pick up a couple of coins the price of which has substantially "sunk" and hold them until the next bull run when everybody will buy everything.
Why not to choose such a strategy (though it is risky, of course)? Definitely, it's a good time to replenish your portfolio..
28  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin vs world economy on: October 02, 2018, 02:30:07 PM
Hi everyone

I'm pretty new to all of this and thinking about buying some bitcoin.

I have some concerns about the world economy influence on bitcoin.

For example what if the US decides to put restrictions on bitcoin? will it have a chance to not fall apart completely?

do you think Bitcoin is strong enough at this point to be self-sustaining?

thanks for the help
Even if the US put certain restrictions on bitcoin it will continue circulating in other countries - Canada, European and Asian states, and don't forget the increasing interest in crypto in Africa. Btc will definitely not fall apart, so you can feel safe about your investment in bitcoin for at least several upcoming years (or even decades).
29  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Fiat - this is how I see the future on: October 02, 2018, 12:42:23 PM
At a time where I see currencies moving away from cash to digital I think the reason is partly so that governments can control the flow of their currency more particularly for laundering. They can possibly gain more taxation from a cashless currency because cash cannot be fully traced. If i sell my car for cash to another individual the government dont get any revenue from that because it is not traceable.

So in a governments aim to control our money it will leave a big opening for bitcoin and other decentralised crypto to exist along with fiat and will allow people to "trade" anonymously with each other over a completely independent infrastructure.
Even though you can trade anonymously with bitcoin the government can always ask you about the source of your wealth.
Some institutions are even demanding the proof of transactions before one wants to buy a home, for example.
Their logic sounds like "isn't it weird that a homeless rapidly got so much money allowing him to buy real estate?".
So complete independence from the state is impossible, even with crypto.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto a danger or an opportunity? on: October 01, 2018, 02:43:35 PM
Crypto has given a lot of changes to our modern world and its potential is still full to be opened in the whole way. There are a lot of tasks of crypto like saving of privacy, giving new working places and so on. But is it right to consider that crypto will replace usual economics because it has more advantages and potential for the future? I support crypto but I have some doubts about its possible negative future because it could be the danger for some countries that have some serious problems in this sphere.
The main "disadvantage" of crypto is that it's totally uncontrollable, and this lack of regulation can bring chaos because economy is something very finely structured.
Crypto is unlikely to replace fiats and thus destroy their role in the economies of different countries, so your doubts are rather justified.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand on: October 01, 2018, 02:07:37 PM
I engaged with young people and layman people in my communities on the quest of exposing them to cryptocurrency. During the period I discovered that they find It so difficult to understand the concepts, they are so much acquainted with fiat currency and traditional ways of making payment transactions.
I will be impress If I can get a valuable ways and methods in making them understand what cryptocurrency is all about and engage them actively.
Crypto and blockchain in general is a technology in the first place, that's why it is so hard to be understood by people who have never been interested in some tech.
I can remember when I made my first transaction of Eth it took me some time to figure out what fee I should put. Not speaking about all those "masternodes", "shards" and the like.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am quitting ICO's on: September 29, 2018, 05:25:00 PM

p.s. when a Telegram has over 20k subscribers all screaming 'when lambo' with endless rows of animated gifs, you may also wonder if this is a serious block chain solution which will revolutionize 'x' Smiley
I mostly liked this very post scriptum and your comment about gifs  Cheesy
It is definitely no good when everybody is so optimistic that cannot point out the developers their errors (and all new projects have their specific defects).
That's why I feel a bit sceptic towards ICOs that have more than 30k participants in their Telegram group (most likely the greatest majority of them have come solely for an airdrop).
33  Economy / Economics / Re: China Will Kill Bitcoin: A Conspiracy Theory on: September 28, 2018, 10:50:40 PM
I am presenting a speculative idea and a conspiracy theory and here it is: China is planning to kill the whole of the cryptocurrency market starting with the biggest of them all Bitcoin and all the rest will follow. In fact, there is a detailed plan being worked out on here and it started with the banning of all ICO projects...next is the ban of all Bitcoin exchanges and soon all citizens of China having Bitcoin will be imprisoned for 20 years (only 5 years if the person will surrender his Bitcoin to the government for possible burning).

Do you think am I hallucinating due to the "shabu I bought coming from China? Or am I only making some predictions that has more chance to come true than playing in lottery?

Please tell me what you think...and let's have some fun!
A very funny theory indeed.
What would then happen to all those farms that have become dominant in mining over the past year? Do you really think people would just let the gov destroy their highly profitable business? If this conspiracy was true we would now witness revolution in China..
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH ready to bounce back? on: September 28, 2018, 05:34:32 PM
Found some technical analysis taken on ethereum and with the report, it is looking real good as it seems ETH has prepared to take on the train and prove itself once more that it is th king of alts. Well, lets hope the TA becomes real and we see our dearly ETH come up once again.
Since May Eth fell from $700 to $200-220 (three times), so I don't know what miracle should happen for it to bounce back.
Obviously, its value was a bit overestimated due to the latest crazy ICO rush, but I've never seen such a huge frustration over the coin that was predicted to even replace btc.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How is the crypto industry going to look like in 5–10 years? on: September 27, 2018, 05:31:42 PM
As we had observed cryptocurrency sometimes fall and sometimes increase its price. How will crypto industy price for the next 5 to 10 years from now?
1. The market (exchanges, ICO rules) will be more regulated and controlled (at least in well-developed countries).
2. Expenses for mining will increase resulting in the epidemic escape of miners from pools. This will lead to slower processing of transactions and decreased reliability of the system.
3. Not sure what will happen to prices, but some projects might complete their goals stated in the roadmaps and bring ready products that could become new competitors to the existing coins like Eth.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Change Your Mind About Bitcoin on: September 27, 2018, 04:38:17 PM
Many people express different types of bitcoin. Someone says Bitcoin is not a currency. Again someone says that Bitcoin is only a bubble, it will never be universally recognized. Some countries have banned Bitcoins so that illegal activities will not be increased in the country. Because some of time bitcoin use for terror works. Some people say that investment in bitcoin is not profitable. There are some other such complaints about Bitcoin.

But the funny thing is that even though there are so many complaints, Bitcoin has become popular all day around the world. I think we need to change our mind about bitcoin's. Cool

Really, people's complaints about Bitcoin are correct?
Bitcoin is the phenomenon that combines various (and sometimes opposite) qualities.
It can be a method of payment, but at the same time it's a means of investment.
It can make you a millionaire but it also accommodates risks of loosing everything.
It is extremely popular within a specific group of people but is hated by governments and banks.
All in all, these "growing pains" demonstrate that bitcoin is not a dead coin, but a constantly evolving technology.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PURPOSE OF TOKEN? on: September 26, 2018, 01:27:08 PM
Hi guys, this just bother me long time ago, and just popped up recently..

What is the purpose of token?

I can not figure it out because I have one token before and I did not know how to use it and I can not even transfer it to bitcoin. I am just wondering why people keep inventing and creating so much token at all.

Token is a holder of value generated by a project (namely its product).
Also there are tokens that can be used only inside the project's system (paying for gaming valuables, purchasing services, converting tokens to some reputation points, etc.).
If you are talking about tokens you got from ICO, bounty or airdrop, you could first convert them to Ethereum and then buy some btc for eth (that's what most investors eventually do).
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Earnings on: September 25, 2018, 01:31:38 PM
Hi guys.

Out of curiosity, what are you earning with bounty campaigns?
I think I'm somewhere near 1K USD/month, but I guess there have to be people here who are earning lots more.

Kind regards

I hate social media and didn't ever manage to catch up with translation bounties, so I focus on signature campaigns - it can give a really nice extra income added to money earned from my main job.
In general, it's hard to say how much one can earn from signature because the market is very unstable.
Right now I've got some tokens from previous bounties, but their price dropped several times due to the general downtrend, so I'm just holding and waiting for the market to recover.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can too many Altcoin's can become a threat to bitcoin's existence on: September 25, 2018, 12:11:30 PM
More and more ICO projects are coming based on many major currencies and specially in this year the trend increased rapidly with many reputed organizations that are in various industries and trades decided to start there own digital currency to make there business more effective and efficient in order to gain more profit.
Can these new launching Altcoin's make a negative impact on bitcoin's expansion in the future because we all know in order to increase the demand, usability and accessibility of bitcoin it should be widely use in most business areas but if Altcoin's take these opportunities how it can achieve its vision to become a widely used digital currency
So far there are only several altcoins that are accepted by some businesses together with btc - ethereum, litecoin and maybe another couple I've never seen.
In this way, I can see no reason for bitcoin to be replaced by other alts in the nearest couple of years unless these projects launch their mainnets or ready products.
We should also keep in mind that acceptance of a new method of payment could take months (not to say years), so btc will be "the king of jungle" for yet quite a long time.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 usd enough to start trading ? on: September 24, 2018, 03:59:40 PM
I have 110 $ ...witch crypto is best to start trading with a small amount as 100 $ actually i'm in etherium ... i see a verry small progress .. is there another crypto more profitable and faster with 100 $ ?!?!?!?!?!?!?
None of the altcoins is profitable in the current downtrend, so even if you invest these $100 you will have to wait for several months for the market to recover.
I would recommend you to invest half of your money in any alt from, say, top 20, do daily trading and try to get at least a 10% profit.
Thus you will kill the two birds with one stone: learn the basics of trading and go deeper into the specifics of the market itself.
