41  Economy / Economics / Re: how to help people who have problem economic on: September 24, 2018, 12:08:14 PM
hello member of the bitcoin forum, Smiley
I'm confused and looking for answers about how to help people who are having economic problems,

are there any of us in this forum who have a good heart to help the economy of fellow human beings,

can opening new jobs reduce unemployment and improve the economy?
New jobs definitely improve the economy of any country, since they indirectly boost the purchasing power of the population and help to reduce social tension.
In this way, crypto can be one of the remedies - so many new job opportunities arose related to coding, advertising, technical support, public relations, etc.
Even the one not having a university degree can try himself as a bounty hunter or a consultant for a particular project.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop !! is it worth it ! on: September 23, 2018, 07:32:04 PM
I see many people following the Airdrop channels

They enter every Airdrop , Share posts on Twitter and Facebook

Is it possible to make some money from Airdrops

If Yes is it worth this the time and work ?
Airdrops give such a very smal amount of tokens that sometimes the fee for sending them to an exchange is even bigger than the profit you gain after selling them.
So I personally have made up my mind that airdrops are a waste of time and won't even want to spend a minute on registering for an airdrop.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypro will make people smarter? on: September 23, 2018, 07:29:11 PM
I reflect on the fact that lack of regulation in the field of crypto currency, gives wide opportunities for scam projects. And it will not be possible to regulate the cryptocurrency, no matter how much the goverments want to do it. In the fact that in the world of crypto, lots of scammers and they remain unpunished, I see one big plus.

People will be forced to learn to be more insightful, calculating and rational or will be scammed. Protection from the state decrease our instinct of self-preservation and slowed our development.

Crypto currency will make the next generation of people smarter.

Let's discuss this topic.

You're absolutely right here, and I can say that myself have become much more rationable when choosing the projects I want to dedicate my efforts to.
There's so much analysis and calculation that needs to be done before investing your hard-earned money.. So thanks to this experience I now can determine at a glance whether a project is a scam or not.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: how do you find new bounties? on: September 23, 2018, 07:25:03 PM
guys, how do you find new bounties? How to find out about a new bounty immediately after the publication on the forum? I put an alert, to the letters came to the email address, for some reason it does not come. How do you know about publishing a new topic in the relevant section?
I monitor several telegram groups that give alerts about new bounties.
If talking about signature campaigns, I use this table http://bounty.slavyansk.biz/signatures.php?page=September
icodrops.com can also be useful, especially the sandbox section which gives info about ICOs (and possible bounties) that could take place in the nearest future.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never invest no product ICOs on: September 23, 2018, 07:04:10 PM
I was wondering, why a lot of projects don't have such an important thing for a successful ICO as a product.

When a company has a product it means they have it to develop. In such case, a company shows why they need ICO and how the company will be growing. What is more, there is more trust because a company has experience in a field they are working.

For example, KickCity company that exists two years. KickCity an event platform that generates revenue and has a Helsinki government grant. KickCity needs ICO to make business bigger and to become a decentralized platform where every user is rewarded for ticket promotion.

On the other hand, no product ICOs can prove their success just in theory. There is no proof base that product will be developed and will be working right.

In such unstable industry as ICO everything has to be under control. The product is one of the things that shows the campaign is not a scam. That is why I believe it is better to invest in ready-made products ICOs.
You've got a point here, but creating a product also requires money, which may end up in going round in circles - no money-no product/no product/less productive ICO.
Moreover, another question one should answer is whether a ready product will be demanded by people and whether there are no competitors around that have already filled a niche.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The era of bounty hunter comes to an edd? on: September 23, 2018, 06:59:39 PM
Many people live there life as a bounty hunter. They were making some good money by just doing bounty campaigns. But good days are coming to an end. Now almost 80% campaign is scamming. They are not paying a single coin. So the golden days of bounty hunters are coming to an end  Sad
What do you think?
The thing is that even if you are paid your reward those tokens immediately go below the reasonable price.
One of the projects I did bounty for didn't manage to control their token and the price went by 95% by the time bounty hunters got our rewards - imagine how frustrated we all were.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops and Bounties useful? on: September 23, 2018, 06:53:53 PM
Are Airdrops and Bounties really leading to a successful coin? There are so many out there this time.
Or are they mostly shitcoins, disappear or using your emails for phishing?
Have you ever participate to one with high profit? How long was wait for that?
I think most of them are just bullshit and time wasting and not worth putting some effort in.
Bounties can be useful for attracting potential investors, especially the ones that deal with social media and telegram.
The problem is that there are so many projects nowadays that it has become extremely difficult to sort out the most promising ones.
Some say that up to 80% of ICOs this year appeared to be a scam - and I really feel sorry for all those people who did advertising for these projects and most likely didn't get their rewards.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do bounty hunters become ICO investors? on: September 23, 2018, 06:47:46 PM
Icos look for bounty hunters to promote their project through the power of social media.Sometimes, some of these hunters also double as ico investors. But it looks like bounty hunters understand ICOs project and are able to determine very good projects before they invest because of their experiences in different projects.
Many of the bounty hunters are newbies that do not have a clear understanding of how to choose a good project. After getting their rewards they sell them for several cents making the price of a token fall several times. So I don't think that a great percent of bounty hunters also invest in ICOs - the specifics of their work is somewhat different.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DONT INVEST IN BTC IF YOU CAN'T OR AFRAID OF TAKING RISK on: September 23, 2018, 06:44:30 PM
This life is full of risks and indeed we are all taking part of it. No one knows Satoshi Nakamoto but people have invested in BTC. In our education we even take risk considering the fact that after school you might not get work.

Over the past months people have been complaining about the price of BTC and I think we should all know something very important. If you are a kind of person who is afraid to take risk. I saw some post talking of anxiety about btc investment and was like if you  can't take risks just leave the crypto world cos you might end up getting  Hypertension Grin.

Yeah, it is the main law of any investor: only spare funds should be invested in crypto - the money that one can afford to lose without becoming homeless or a beggar.
I wonder how many people lost all their savings because of not following this simple rule - and how many of them ended their lives up in desperation.
Crypto market is not a game, it's something that could both make you a millionaire and a bankrupt.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is independent? or depends on fiat currency on: September 23, 2018, 06:39:49 PM
Bitcoin was created to provide independence from Government control to the users.  But I think it is not so independent.

It depends on fiat currency especially the Dollar for it's valuation.

My question is ; we are measuring it's value in dollars.  So is not it true that Bitcoin is dependent on fiat currency for it's existence?

Please share whatever views you are having.

Kindly correct me if I am wrong.
Bitcoin can exist without dollar and any other fiat since it's independently generated in blockchain and posesses its own value as an almost perfect means of payment.
We compare BTC to USD just because we need to have an idea of how important btc is in a particular moment of time, but that relationship doesn't mean that bitcoin somehow depends on dollar.

51  Economy / Economics / Re: Money Matters on: September 23, 2018, 06:26:41 PM
Isn't it interesting that those who pontificate that "Money is not everything" usually have money?

Be broke for a few weeks unable to pay your bills, pay rent and afford basic necessities, and then let's see if you'd still hold the same position about money.

Let us be sincere and stop fooling around; MONEY IS SOMETHING! A very huge something!! At least in this present world. Might not be a big deal in another world. But in this world? Save me the sermon.

Without money in this world, rarely does anything get done. In fact, many things suffer needlessly without money. Even the Bible is flat-out frank enough to recognize the fact that money answers all things in the context of this present world. It doesn't say money is "the answer to all things" but it answers all things.

So please, before you sermonize me that money is not everything or that money is no big deal, credit my blockchain address with one thousand units of Bitcoin and forget about it. Then I'd believe you. In fact, I'd sing it along with you...money ain't nothing!
I'm always feeling surprised about those double-dealers with millions of dollars on their accounts telling us that money is nothing.
Money is one of the engines for progress - it is something that makes us invent new things which make all others' lives easier, it is the reward for all our efforts.

52  Economy / Economics / Re: Does engaging with bitcoins put you at risk? on: September 23, 2018, 06:19:44 PM
We, as physically and intellectually healthy individuals, strive and survive to achieve our dreams, establish our roles in the society and fulfill our needs and wants. But in order to do this, we are also required to be financially healthy. The lingering fact is that money is not achievable as a single candy you can buy in the store. Sometimes, people risk their lives and reputation just to get a handful. Bitcoins are not officially a currency that you can just see in a certain country, that are being utilized and used. So, is dealing with bitcoins and other things related to it also puts us in a risky gamble?
Dealing with such a volatile market is indeed risky - some people risk their further wellbeing and literally lives by selling their homes and investing all their savings.
It is a lottery of whether you get profit or lose all you means of living, though this relates mainly to altcoins as bitcoin is more stable in this respect.
53  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto solve socioeconomic problems? on: September 23, 2018, 06:13:15 PM
If everyone around the world gets into cryptocurrency, do you think it will even help in solving or lessen socioeconomic problems? Can it be used to buy goods from other countries? It is fair to say that crypto will help a lot of people but what will it do to one's country? Will it help improve a country's economy?
Economies depend not only on financial issues but on many other factors like demographic situation, avaliability of natural resources, relations with other countries, etc.
Cryptocurrency could be a tool to improve the financial state of a small number of individuals or a means of payment for a limited number of businesses.
But it unlikely lead to some major consequences as a rapid improvement of the economy.

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 80% of ICOs are Scams on: September 13, 2018, 05:49:00 PM
Saw this study on twitter... https://twitter.com/Zeex_me/status/978981735101878272

I've seen a lot of people asking about how many legit ICOs there are, so I thought I'd share

Quote from the article: "The study begins by breaking down ICOs into 6 groups: Scam, Failed, Gone Dead, Dwindling, Promising, Successful. “On the basis of the above classification,” they wrote, “we found that approximately 81% of ICO’s were Scams, ~6% Failed, ~5% had Gone Dead, and ~8% went on to trade on a exchange.”

"Scams were defined by researchers as “Any project that expressed availability of [an] ICO investment (through a website publishing, ANN thread, or social media posting with a contribution address), did not have/had no intention of fulfilling project development duties with the funds, and/or was deemed by the community (message boards, website or other online information) to be a scam.”

DYOR people ...
I'm more interested in the figure of ~8% of ICOs that went on exchanges.
This means that out of almost 2,000 coins only ~170 are worth investors' attention, and all others are just unnecessary digits.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH, road down to $50? on: September 13, 2018, 05:45:43 PM
what do you think is the real value of ETH ?

the only usage is for ICOs and they have been dying or losing their market at the very least as they either get banned or people simply stop trusting them anymore.

as for its supply, it is huge already. we have passed 101 million ether already and there is no max amount to it either. we will see it increase indefinitely.

in my opinion the real value of it is visible on ETC so ETH should also be wort the same or at least near that price which is why $50 was my choice.
what do you think?
In its very start, the smart contracts were intended not for ICOs but for making various deals safer.
It's so sad to see that a literally revolutionary technology was compromised in such a stupid way.
I still believe that Eth is worth more than $50 and even $150, but some really significant event should happen for Eth to reach at least the price of May 2018.
57  Economy / Economics / Re: Good news or bad news... on: September 13, 2018, 05:38:12 PM
Japanese Ministry of Finance is going to prepare rules for cross-border transfers of digital money

The Ministry of Finance of Japan is going to prepare in the near future rules for the foreign transfer of digital money.

According to the report of the newspaper Nihon Keizai on April 5, the Ministry of Finance plans to introduce rules under which notice to the authorities should be strictly mandatory if the cost of transferring money for a foreign transfer is more than 30 million yen.

It is said that the decision of the Ministry of Finance will facilitate the consideration of the real situation with operations abroad and is designed to curb money laundering operations.
Source: Alpari
Structurizing operations with crypto seem to be good news, since it will help to prevent chaos arising from fully uncontrolled manipulations.
I hope that the declared objective (prevention of money laundering) will strictly be followed and will help to decrease the number of crimes in the financial sphere of Japan.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Why lot of countries do not allow to use Crpto? on: September 13, 2018, 05:35:01 PM
Lot of countries do not allow to use crypto currencies and they discourage using them. However as far as I feel, trading with crypto is not that harmful for the economy of the country. As an example, if a person has Eth and someone from another country needs to buy Eth, that buyer needs to pay the seller in terms of dollars. Then that seller needs to convert that Dollars to his native currency which means it creates a the demand for the native currency and increase the value of the currency. May be the government is unable to add a tax on such transactions but it is beneficial for the currency used in seller's country.
What do you think about that?
Banning crypto is the worst thing that can ever be done by the governments - they close the opportunity for their population to earn some decent money and improve their financial situation.
In its turn this prevents the increase of purchasing power and the subsequent revival of the economy. This especially concerns underdeveloped countries, where crypto could become a remedy to many problems.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How bad are ICOs this year? on: September 13, 2018, 05:30:01 PM
News headline says "76% of This Year’s ICOs Are Already Under Water"  and most of these are ICOs launched at the first quarter of this year.
If you’re going to invest in an ICO, then, the message is clear: be selective, choose blockchain projects over anything else and make sure you get into the pre-sale. Otherwise, you’ll be wasting your time and your ethereum.

Watch out folks!  Grin

https://news.bitcoin.com/76-of-this-years-icos-are-already-under-water/?utm_source=OneSignal%20Push&utm_medium=notification&utm_campaign=Push%20Notifications
Yeah, it has become a challenge to pick a really decent project out of tons of... you know what. I have faced this problem recently when searching for good bounty campaigns - out of like 50+ projects only 4 seemed at least a bit trustworthy. That's a really bad news, crypto is becoming something dangerous.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for Airdrops: A bad precedence on: September 13, 2018, 05:27:13 PM
I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.
I'm okay about KYC for bounties, but for airdrops that's certainly nonsense, though it might be required due to some law issues, especially if the project comes from Europe. Of course, it's a bad precedence since it kills the whole idea of crypto being anonymous (what actually attracted so many people to this technology).
