We're doing some migrations with the Guldencoinforum.com due to recent DDOS attacks.

@geertjohan when I using your vanitygen tut I get an error when I type ./vanitygen -X 38 Greg It says that bitcoin starts with a 1. And when I type ./vanitygen -X 39 Greg it generates an adres an privkey but when I try to import it the console says invalid privkey error -5. Am I missing something You must use -X 38, to get the correct address version for a Guldencoin addresses. Not -X 39 The problem you're having is that the prefix sequence is not valid for Base58Check encoding (aparently). Try `./vanitygen -X 38 GReg` for instance, that will work. More info aboute Base58Check: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Base58Check_encodingOk generating worked but now I get error adding key to wallet code -4 Is your wallet password protected? If so, unlock it first with `walletpassphrase <password> <timeout>` A timeout value of 30 is fine, so you have 30 seconds to add the privkey. When you have added the privkey the guldencoin-qt application, or even the whole computer, might seem to freeze. This is because the application is working very hard to scan all old blocks for transactions to the key. If you are sure that no transaction to the key happened in the past (because you've only just generated the address and not sent anything to it yet) you can disable the rescan for a fast import: `importprivkey <key> "my new address" false`

Richlist? Top10? Top20? It won't be ready on launch. Launch has all basic features such as block/transaction/address lookup/inspection.

Request for the miners and pool op's!Please sync the clock of your systems! If you're running a debian/ubuntu system, install ntp: `sudo apt-get install ntp` When your system's clock is out of sync, there is a higher change that mined blocks will be rejected! This could already have been the cause of some rejected blocks... edit: there's no danger to the network itself.. Just a chance that miners are wasting good blocks because the timestamp is incorrect. This is not a guldencoin network issue. Miners/pools should always run ntp (or similar software) to sync their clock to the rest of the world.

Why are we even talking about if Android or iOS is used more? It's not about which one gets used more. It's about providing tools for the entire market. Android and iOS cater a ton of people as over 60 percent (stats from 2013, so probably even more now) of the Dutch population has a smartphone. We're not here to cater just the cryptocommunity. Guldencoin is about catering to everyone in The Netherlands, getting more people into using NLG and we need iOS αnd Android for that. Blackberry? app Windows 8 mobile? app java app for old phones with camera? The percentages indicate the priority we have with each platform. Android was the first to do because there are open-source libraries that we could use and change to create the Guldencoin app. Now iOS is the logical choice because of the percentages.. This doesn't mean that the other platforms are excluded from getting an app. It's just that their marketshare isn't very large (anymore), so they have lower priority. But then, Guldencoin IS open-source, so anyone is free to create an app for any of those platforms. Since the Guldencoin Core (based on the original satoshi client) is written in C, C++, I guess writing a Windows mobile app isn't very hard. And for blackberry, I've heard there's some sort of android port support.. So maybe the android app can be ported?

@ Rijk do you get more requests for "de gratis 100 Guldencoin" ? Just curious.
Requests per day have slightly increased but are not yet at the same rate as in the first three days following launch. This is pretty much as expected though. I think the number of requests will increase a lot when iOS is launched. Total number of requests right now is: 1282

What's changed in this wallet. If it wasn't obvious yet: updated layout (Guldencoin branding, colors, icons). Also two small changes: - Add checkpoint
- Fix testnet folder name

The seeds with degraded performance have been migrated. Thanks to Hilmar for doing most of the work! The network is 100% online again. We're also updating other seeds to new guldencoind versions. https://seeds.guldencoin.comNice work dev team. Any idea what caused the performance problems? Probably the hosting provider having trouble... We had our doubts with this particular provider already. So when suddenly exactly the three seeds hosted with them started being unresponsive, the decision was quite simple. The seeds are still spread over several locations with different hosting providers. Today was an example of why this is a good practice.

We have detected high latency and slow responsiveness in some of our seeds. This could be due to hosting problems or the increased Guldencoin network activity.
In both cases, the nodes are not supposed to have degraded performance. Therefore we decided to migrate the seeds to a new location/ISP.
Network integrity is not affected as 12 of the 15 seeds are still available and in full sync.
You do not have to take any action.
