We need to make sure it works properly right from the launch
Launch it now and call it take-a-chance or hope-it-works coin. No thanks ;p

Maieuticoin allows staking this way, but it's Minting, not Mining. You earn .96% of your balance weekly There is also an option to stake through the mainnet cloud if you don't want to run a client. Over 60% of the network is enrolled in Offline Staking, so the network is also very, very secure from attack

Maieuticoin has nothing but good developments. No premine or fund raising of any kind and proven legitimate raffles worth thousands of dollars

If you like a coin with a stable price through the drought and to earn quick stake, there is some recent Maieuticoin News that may peak your interest

When is the 2nd coin launch?
There will be a lot of testing with transactions first. When I'm satisfied with what we have, it will launch within a day or two, but we do not have an official date as of now Fairly soon

only 2100 coin but price is only 0.0010 sadly lollzzzz
Your point is taken but you're off by a factor of ten which is pretty significant. It actively trades around .01 and recently about 3 times that. Sorry edited but not happy. It will get better Multipool just got a huge facelift. Try it out, x11 has some big hash right now!

Pretty cool. My only comment/suggestion is to double the ICO rate to 1:1000 or or reduce the new coin "mintage" to 500k as a reasonable expectation would be for users to exchange no more than half of the current M coin in circulation. I could be wrong, but at least you would max out the ownership of the new coin and it might bring some urgency to the process. Just an idea. My other recommendation is that the coin be easy to pronounce and spell. Right, but that's the thing. However many get traded is the supply of the new chain, so the exchange rate really means nothing, as long as it is fair to everyone. All the extras get destroyed, so the less that are sold, the better for those choosing to switch. Maybe. I don't know how the market will respond to this when it goes live, to be honest with you We are open to name suggestions. I was thinking Socraticoin, because Maieutics is basically the Socratic Method and that's easier to say, but we are definitely open to ideas on the new name Wait a second. You like something we are doing...? Uh oh, I must be on to something this time

I shouldn't really post this, yet, since we don't like to post what is coming, but I've kept it quiet long enough...
Fairly soon, we will be launching a second coin. It will be very similar to Maieuticoin, but with a few small changes. First of all, the mining phase of the new coin will be completely eliminated. There will be a maximum of 1,000,000 coins, attainable only during the "ICO" Phase of the coin
Very Similar, but Very Different The new coin will fill a gap that we are not going to fill with Maieuticoin. Anonymous sending. We debated for a long time whether or not we wanted to add this feature to Maieuticoin and decided against it for one reason. Currently, crypto currencies are in a spot where we need to be extra cautious. For this reason, Maieuticoin will never have any anonymous features. This ensures that, long term, merchants and vendors can feel safe accepting it knowing the coin will allow them to easily follow all Anti Money Laundering and Know Your Customer laws on a blockchain that is completely secure, due to offline staking
"ICO" Phase This is where things get much different for this situation. We will not be accepting BTC for the ICO. The only way to buy into the new chain will be with Maieuticoin. This is to ensure our investors and supporters will not be left behind, and those only interested in extras, such as the Multipool, Mobile App, and many still-announced features and services, will still have a place to call home. The ICO is in quotes, because we aren't raising funds for anything. Any projects we have in the past and the future have been and will continue to be 100% funded by the development team, with no premine or fundraising ICO for either chain
Who gets the ICO Funds? Nobody. All the Maieuticoin traded in for coins on the new chain will be destroyed. These coins will be sent to an invalid address and removed from the chain forever, lowering the total supply. Not only will this help combat the inflation due to Proof of Stake, but it will also allow investors and supporters to choose which project they prefer with no issues. We will have a very public address used to collect the Maieuticoin being traded in so there is a public record of the balance to be destroyed
The new chain will have a max of 1,000,000 coins in the "ICO" Phase, with a trade in rate of 500:1 - This means for every 1 Maieuticoin you decide to switch to the new chain will award you 500 coins on the new chain. Maieuticoin currently has about 2100 coins in circulation, which is how we arrived at the 1,000,000 max for the "ICO" Phase. All unsold coins on the new chain will also be destroyed in a similar fashion as Maieuticoin; Invalid address with unretrieveable Private Key.
Nobody will keep any extra coins on either chain. We are NOT raising funds

I'll take those ten S2s please
No you can't have them they're mine Dang it! I know I'm interested in those s2's I just bought another 30 mmxiv. Let's get moving towards 1 BTC drop those sell walls. I doubt they will do S2 anymore No more S2s, but we will do $25,000 USD of the newest generation miners. They don't have to be SHA anymore, either, since we are Pure Proof of Stake now

Nist5 won the poll we ran on which algorithm we should support next. Any objections if we switch out x13 with Nist5 instead?
DO IT! No one has mined x13 in forever so it won't hurt anything to change it. I've put the thought in ThePeePs head. Now it's up to him if he wants to try it or not I don't think he will care what algo we pick as long as it gets us some more miners, and I had seen a few posts in our poll thread that there isn't a multipool yet for that algo (but I don't know if that's true or not)

Ok it is clear to me but how much time to make a transaction? BTW I made a tx from bittrex to my wallet almost 1 hr ago but I don't see any tx on explorer.
That is a Bittrex issue. For some reason, their withdraws are super slow once in a while. Not sure why, but as soon as they send it out it will show up on the chain

Leaving priv key on an web storage , how secure is it? Please let me know.
Nothing is "left" anywhere. You pass it to us once, it gets loaded in a staking node, and the submission is deleted forever. Because of this, we can not recover private keys for anyone, should they become lost. You need to ensure that Private Key is backed up locally so you still have access to your funds. If you lose the Private Key and delete your local wallet before moving coins from that address, they will not be recoverable by us That being said, you are free to pass the Private Key to me however you feel safest. You can email it to me, PM it to me here, pass it through IRC in our channel #MMXIV on Freenode; it's totally up to you. However you feel safest

If you guys have hashpower and an interest in Maieuticoin, I suggest hopping on the Multipool tonight. Large hashrate right now. Over 1.3 GIGAHASH on Scrypt and nearly 8 Terahash on SHA256! Looks like the new layout is popular
