You should really get this out on Twitter as well - not going to get enough interest I think from just BitcoinTalk alone
We sold out last time just using the forums. We could use some chat box attention though True, but it took three weeks to get 25 people, and now the price is 2x more per ticket. It's just a suggestion - Twitter is starting to become the main communication method for a lot of new coins, due to the forums being so hard to wade through all the "junk" these days. I'm not going anywhere so there's no rush from me. Would be nice to get the word out, though. Entry is only .02 BTC of MMXIV at current price

Close QT, open ports 11015 and 21015, then reload MMXIV-QT
Let me know if that helps
How do I open those ports? I didn't know they were closed. If you're on Windows, you can do it in Control Panel -> Windows Firewall -> Advanced Settings to set custom rules I might have messed things up but now I can't get any connections to the network for the wallet. I added the rules and restarted. Got no connections. Then I removed the rules and restarted and no improvement. I've never messed with these rules before and you didn't provide enough information so I probably couldn't have done it right to begin with. Is it TCP or UDP? Are they both outbound rules or inbound or both? Updated: The wallet was able to synch, I have a green checkmark, but 0 connections to network. What does getpeerinfo show? Also, did you do what I pm'ed you?

Yea I only have 3 active connections. Such a good coin with so much potential. I'll never understand why people prefer scam coins over honest ones.
The addnode has like 40 connections. My personal PC has about 20 (no addnodes). How long has your client been open with only 3? My wallet has been open for about two days and I have 2 connections. I don't know how to improve this. Close QT, open ports 11015 and 21015, then reload MMXIV-QT Let me know if that helps

Great way to run a business.
I don't have anything to do with the pool, except helping to promote it and being thankful ThePeePs runs it for nothing. If he needs some time off, he needs some time off. Just shitty timing that the pool happened to go down while he is traveling. I'm sure he will post and give actual details when he gets some time Anything I say about the pool is always just a guess. ThePeePs is the only one that knows 100% what's going on with it Sorry, I was mining on it as well, so it sucks for me when it goes down, too

Good luck all, and thank you for the entry No problem. Thanks for entering in the first Raffle!

Any news on whats up with the pool?
Not yet, pretty sure ThePeePs is on vacation right now though NP things happen, i'll just keep checking back We talked last night and he said something about being out of town until Sept. 2nd, but that he was still going to try and do payouts everyday. I also asked him to post sometime to let you guys know what his plans are, so I'm sure he will be doing that soon We are also working on a new front end for the pool, too. Hopefully by the time he gets back from vacation I can have a nice design all ready for him to work with

That it does. Might just be the pool website then. I'll keep at it.
The only pool to mine with is pool.mmxivcoin.com now Ok, you're still listed at ispace.co.uk. I didn't mine for long out of fear the blocks would be orphaned. My guess is they are still on the old chain

Raffle is sold out. Please do not send more coins Wasn't expecting it to sell out this fast! We will do the drawing early next week, I'll figure out the best time this weekend to get the most people on at once to make sure it's a fair drawing. I have to scramble up the list and stuff still anyway. This round took less than 6 days to fully sell out! Great job everyone! Thanks to everyone who participated! Those of you watching, but haven't joined in, yet, we have a BTC Raffle going on right now! You can check it out here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=760702 or you can enter automatically on http://www.mmxivcoin.com/raffle.html
That's right, more mining hardware! In addition to our $25,000 Mining Equipment Challenge, we are now doing a raffle to celebrate the S3 launch!
It's very easy to enter. Tickets are 2 MMXIV per entry Just post here or send me a message saying you want to enter and I will PM you a unique MMXIV address for your entries
Each ticket will be 2 MMXIV Coin. You can purchase as many tickets as you'd like Winner will be drawn at 100 tickets sold so each ticket is a 1% chance to win If we don't reach 100 tickets, I'll raffle a single unit instead
We are raising the price to 2 MMXIV this round because everyone who bought a ticket in the first raffle gets one for free in the second!!
I will keep doing raffles like this all the time if there is community interest
You can keep track of the total entries so far on this doc: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OR8iqI7GsAvNqwLWfbYrlnhm0CaOdm9qlVUvvOChhQ8
Here is some proof that my raffles are legit from the first batch! From https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671686
Winner is responsible for any customs or import fees The raffle covers the cost of 2 x S3 units on Bitmaintech.com at time of drawing Bitmain is proud to announce the sale of AntMiner S3 for 0.75 BTC each to include International shipping. S3 is hashing at 478 GH/s while consumes 366 Watt power from the wall.
AntMiner S3 is the third generation Bitcoin mining rig made by Bitmain. It uses the state of the art BM1382 chip powered by the 28nm tech process with ultra-low power consumption, targeting the best combination of power efficiency and low capital expenditure for mining investors.
Specifications:
Hash Rate: 478 GH/s±5%
Power Consumption: 366 Watt at the wall
Power Efficiency: 0.77 J/GH on wall
Power Supply: 12V DC
Size: 331 mm x 137 mm x 160 mm
Fans: Two 14038 fans mounted on both front and back ends.
Operating Temperature: 0 °C to 35 °C
Complied with: FCC / CE
Network Connection: Ethernet
Notes:
Power consumption: This figure depends on the PSU efficiency, ambient temperature and the accuracy of the power meters.
PSU: You have to prepare your own the ATX PSU. The S3 ships without a PSU. There are 4 PCI-e connectors for +12V DC input, but it only needs to connect two of them if without overclocking (PSU not included). Don’t parallel connected different DC input from different PSU into the same Hashing board.
Features:
Stand alone: The S3 mines stand alone, needs no proxy server.
Quiet: The customized heat sinks mounted to the hash boards, one box over S3 to control the air flow, two fans mounted on both front and back ends that mean fans are able to work at lower speed to dissipate all heat easily. This design let S3 run at much lower noise level.
Stable: Running 24 hours a day with minimal downtime.
Accurate: Hardware Error got from the sample unit rate is as low as 0.01%, hundreds times better than some competing products.
Efficient: High energy efficiency to save your investment on PSU and electricity bills.
Drawing Details:1) Go to http://www.random.org/integers/2) Switch to Advanced Mode 3) Configure to look like this: 4) The randomization string will be the current headline of bbc.comProduces our random number.... These steps can be verified independently to produce the same result. The headline was taken from bbc.com at exactly 2 PM Eastern Time
