1121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WARNING DarkChain was a Trojan/Virus Scam and the next is already coming ! on: September 01, 2014, 07:12:53 PM
It's very sad to read this, it is getting awfully stupid with the constant script kiddies scamming people all over the place.
I've shut down the darkchain stratum only the front end will remain for people who're interested in withdrawing, for whatever that's worth...
1122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SKYNET - °SNET° x11 limited PoW , variable PoS! Market Fund! . on: August 31, 2014, 08:15:11 PM
Dev, just sent you a PM.
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRDR] Trader Coin - Decentralized - Listed on Bittrex on: August 31, 2014, 06:34:28 PM
We are also up to 3ghs network hash. People are noticing us again.

I noticed that too. Even though minerpools is down.  I hope they'll be up again cuz I have coins still there.

dev,  could you please allow only pools that have an email or contact for support on the main page.  It's a good thing for the coin.  People want to mine a coin on pools that have good reputations.

He posted above that it was up again. I will look into these pools and their contacts.

Uh-oh, something went wrong! Error Code: 503

I'm getting this. Even when I try to get to his darkcoin pool, it's offline too.

Hi there, I just sent you a PM, I haven't been active because my account was banned for 14 days and couldn't post on the forums.
I checked and I haven't seen any downtime, if you're still getting this issue please send me a screenshot and try to refresh your browser.

EDIT: I haven't received your reply, and also, I don't have a darkcoin pool nor have ever setup one...
1124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HZ] HertzCoin | X13 POW/POS | Launched! 2 days of mining! on: August 13, 2014, 10:13:55 PM
Which pool is finding blocks?
We have but most of the hash is now focused on other pools
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [BBC] BigBangCoin | X15 PoW/PoS | First X15 coin with superblocks on: August 09, 2014, 09:44:24 PM
http://bbc.minerpools.com is out. Dev, you can't launch a coin with a "charity" donation and not post the donation address nor the % per block needed. This is just a waste of time for both miners and pools.
I've just shut down stratum for this, if you still want to mine BBC please go to another pool.

Cheers,
It has been at thread from the day i posted it

1 coin per PoW block goes to a public wallet which will be handed over to a community board

As Louiseth from suchpool said, you can't place a fixed charity donation of 1 coin with random blocks. So, no, minerpools won't be back for a relaunch either. Good luck.
1126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [BBC] BigBangCoin | X15 PoW/PoS | First X15 coin with superblocks on: August 09, 2014, 09:21:24 PM
The dev is mocking us  with this wallet!

Suchpool was a good pool a time ago. Not any more.
 Angry

if we could predict all the shitcoins/scam, trust me we would never have launched a pool for a single of those.

you're in the same boat trying to mine those coins. as you do, we tough it was a good one.

+1 it is completely unpredictable and every block is being rejected here...

DEV: What's going on? is there some "charity" code hidden?
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [DRX] DARKFOX | Sha256 | POW/POS HYBRID | on: August 09, 2014, 05:13:04 PM
Dev: Is it 195 or 95 coins per block?

Nevermind, checked source and it's 95 coins per block. Dev, please update the OP

Where is all the hash at?
All listed pools have like 20% of the total hash!
thats pretty neat trick
oh no huge premine to dump
we set up our own pools to mine them we be secret
this guy was real good with config shyt lol
then we set up block rewards for our benefit
then we dump  Kiss
i am a china miner, i can tell all of you, many peopel use fgpa mining X11 coin in china.
that's why gpu miner can't get a good profitability for mining X11 coin.
the X11 COIN can't prevent fpga or asic.
X11 has been cracked by fpga at this time.
so it's not fair for gpu miner.
we must ban x11 coin

new update:
x11 coin can be mined by  Scrypt ASIC at this time.that's same to maxcoin.maxcon can be mined by AntMiner

many fpge or Scrypt ASIC are mining x11,not gpu miner, for example DARKCOIN,28G NET HASH are very hard to believe

Dude, we've seen the fucking "I'm a China miner" post all fucking day in the Bitcointalk forums. It's like cancer.

We understand, you bought some scrypt ASICs. You want everyone to go back to mining scrypt. Sorry. It's not gonna happen.
Did you forget, there's something called a blockchain? If we were truly mining with a huge secret pool, that would be the main address to eat all the blocks.

BUT!

Currently the two main pools are the ones solving the blocks. All of them.

But where is that extra hashrate, you ask?

It's dead on arrival. People mining in smaller micro-pools, they may have a large hashrate combined, but if they don't find a block there's no payout. So there's a lot of dead hashrate on the network that is not actually contributing to moving the block count forward.

FPGA with x11? Sure, it's possible.

Also, you are so misinformed. Scrypt ASICs ONLY do SCRYPT. It's unchangeable. That's the way they're programmed. From how the scratchpad in scrypt works up to the fact that x11 is 11 different algorithms that SCRYPT ASICS are not equipped with, this is bullshit from head to toe.

There's you people everywhere, it's fucking sickening.

Case in point: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=586407.0

Almost exactly the same arguments. Almost exactly the same BULLSHIT.
so ur 2 pools have 2gb hashrate and you say smaller micro pools have 8 gbhash which is 4 times pool size smaller

It can be private pools, some people rent some large hashes, and mine in their own pools. Seen this many times.

It's rentals mate, just check it out: https://nicehash.com/
I've had miners with over 20gh hashrate, all rental.

WTF..

Hashhot pool  is Up and Wroking now

http://mts.hashhot.com

pplns 1% fee

stratum+tcp://stratum.hashhot.com:3400

Block finder have 1% bonuses

Seriously... even now?!

I get the annoying "our pool is up" which still violate the current rules (and ultimately makes this rule simply punishing pools who obey the rule)

but this is just pure spam against the rule.. and no excuse for it.

That's a little over the top, but I still plan on breaking the rules.  It simply doesn't matter what your stance is on this, your pool will suffer if you don't at least make a link to your pool when it's online, and other pool operators won't stop.  There's no reason to stop, so long as you keep it short and clean.
+100 I agree with Chisefu. If we don't at least post our one-liner (not spamming like that red colored nightmare) then we have no chance to survive.

ATTENTION MPOS POOL OWNERS:
$config['getbalancewithunconfirmed'] = true;
SHOULD BE
$config['getbalancewithunconfirmed'] = false;

Also, our block explorer got DDoSed to shit so that will not be around for a little bit.

lol.. this is the first thing you check for a coin when you set up a pool wallet Smiley

True, my bad, although it depends on the coin Wink
BTW Ocminer, I thought you were setting up a pool for this one

Block finder bonuses have been upgraded, starting now: 10 MWC to each block finder!
1137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Advertising spam is not allowed on: August 07, 2014, 08:27:46 PM

I could be wrong, but I don't think so.
I've yet to see a single mod chasing users away from Bitcointalk.
Bitcointalk needs the alternative currency section to stay relevant, aside from the revenue the traffic generates.
There is a reason behind this silly rule - and I personally think it has more to do with SEO than anything else (I think the administrators are afraid of being penalized by Google for link spamming).

Quote for refrence:

Wow. For the guys suggesting one post per thread, how exactly do you expect us to enforce that? There is no easy way to see how many times someone has posted in a particular thread. Even looking through the post history won't work because you can easily change the subject of a post to hide what thread you're posting in, not to mention that's too time consuming. Also all you'd have to do is delete the old post, since mods can't see deleted posts (and I suspect more than one of you who suggested this knew that).

And yes, you guys are right when listing the problems inherent with using this forum as the sole source of information about an altcoin, along with a thousand other coins. Which is the reason people spam in the first place, because there is no specific board for mining a particular coin, or for services for a coin, or whatever else. The only real answer is to setup coin specific forums, any serious coin will do this. The rest are pump and dumps, or scams that won't be around long enough, and we aren't going to cater to them. We won't setup coin specific boards here either. Spamming is a crutch people have used to get around these limitations, and it's getting out of hand.

Even BadBear suggests we could use another forum. Sure, not chasing users out of the forum, but this new rule makes the life of traders/miners harder. They will no longer be able to get updated the moment thei come in. My suggestion to those guys was that yhey should open an account in cryptocointalk (or any other suitable alternative) and lurk there as well. Neither I said that we should abandon the forum, just use a nother one at the same time but for different purposes.

He didn't, as far as I can see. It was just a general speculative statement.

Well, it's simple, if they don't allow us to do such an important part of our job which is posting in the forums for so many reasons, and of course this affects everyone in the Altcoin world, they're just chasing everyone out of here. I've never even touched Cryptocointalk before this happened, Bitcointalk was the only forum for me but not anymore.
1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [SHH] Quietcoin | X13 | PoW/PoS/PoI/PoQ | Claim a stake today! DELAY on: August 07, 2014, 06:09:38 PM
Well it seems that the nodes went up before the actual launch and most of the blocks were mined at minerpools.com. With yesterday's source (which didn't work and I honestly thought it was going to be replaced).

So dev, most of those blocks were mined at minerpools by some early (too early) miners.

What do you suggest we do? I thought (and everyone else did) that you'd be releasing a new source today.

Dev: Is it the same source as yesterday? Please update everyone here...

8 Minutes to go.
Dev what is going on ?
DO we have to recompile wallet, add new seeds, or what ?
Please give us some info Smiley

+1 Will it be the same source or are you uploading a new one?
