Right now I'm fixing the issue with addresses not being saved, I'll post back when it's done. EDIT: The frontend will be down for 20-30 minutes. Stratum will keep running and finding blocks in the meantime.

does mwc.z.pool.mn have all the hash or is the stats wrong?
Nethash is split along the pools, although it always takes a while to appear correctly. Give it about an hour or two.
|
|
|
I noticed that too, seems that the first 38 blocks were hit by roughly 3ghs nethash...

This is such a shame. Now we need to seek others forums because administrators won't allow pertinent information to be posted in the threads here. That's true mate, it sucks but it seems that's what we're gonna have to do.

This is not fair for the pool owners, they are losing money this way and new users.
Tell me about it, the following post was deleted by a mod: http://Palestine.minerpools.com UP HOW IS THAT CONSIDERED SPAM?? I launched the pool 24hrs late and had to let people know about it. What are we supposed to do now, smoke signals??

Wow. For the guys suggesting one post per thread, how exactly do you expect us to enforce that? There is no easy way to see how many times someone has posted in a particular thread. Even looking through the post history won't work because you can easily change the subject of a post to hide what thread you're posting in, not to mention that's too time consuming. Also all you'd have to do is delete the old post, since mods can't see deleted posts (and I suspect more than one of you who suggested this knew that).
Isn't that why there's the "Report to Moderator" link in the lower right corner of every single post, so we can bring a post to your (the MOD's) attention? If a pool/exchange/etc is spamming a thread with their service, then it should be up to the users to report said spam, to the MODS, then you can take action. I think it would take up far less of your time for it to work this way, yes? I'm guessing right now, to in-force this rule you have to look at every new post on every thread to make sure someone isn't advertising. I'm sure your time could be spent doing much better things. Does that sound like a good solution? Yes but the russian and chinese scam pools will report every other pool causing a bunch of shit for the mods Damn bro, I hadn't thought of that, the DDOS scam pools

spam
noun
1. irrelevant or inappropriate messages sent on the Internet to a large number of recipients. Above is the official definition of the term "spam". I contest that when a pool operator posts one-time that they have created a pool so that miners can mine a particular coin, that post is both highly relevant and appropriate to the coin thread. As a miner, this is perhaps the move relevant information that can be posted in a thread, and is often my sole purpose for visiting a coin thread. Therefore, this act is not advertising "spam" and should be permitted! Who's with me? Everyone apart from the mods I think +1000 over 90% of the people on this thread should agree.

Hi Everyone,
First of all let me apologize for the late response, It seems the network was being ddosed by some attackers, we've managed to mitigate the attack on our pool and on the stratum engine. New security measures have been applied. Also, Cloudflare's security level has also been increased.
Thank you for your patience.

Last days a lot of pool spammers banned, (we are talking about this type of spamming) so this rule is necessary for anti-spam policy. I fully support the new rule. It's better than completely removing altcoin board. I think we can all agree that the spamming you have linked is excessive and inappropriate. That said, it is completely different then a pool operator setting up a pool for a new coin and notifying miners in the coin thread. +1 That's an example of Spamming, and I think that most of us agree here that if a pool op or an exchange announces they've just added a coin (without the ann being a huge advertising gig) then it won't be spam by definition.

|
|
I've edited the OP to make it a bit more general and cover all service related spam, which includes pools.
I agree that the advertisement spam has gotten out of control, but can we at least post a one liner -once- in a coin thread? No images/etc? Just something along the lines of ______________ has added this coin Can we get an answer on this? +1 Mods: Why do you keep ignoring this question?. I believe over 6 people have already asked the same question...
