I don't what Crystal palace is upto. Honestly if this was how they started the league competition, they should be contending for top 4 or still be at the stage of Brighton and Co. I am surprised how palace drew with Manchester United and consecutively had to draw against Newcastle. They have really improved Crystal Palace's performance in the last two matches has been very consistent. They managed to share the points against teams like Manchester United and Newcastle. And as a result they have managed to stay away from the relegation zone. A good performance from the defenders is why Crystal Palace managed to get the points. At the same time, if the performance of their attacking players improves, they can move toward the top of the points table. The match was very important for Newcastle. If Newcastle could get full points in this match, the point difference between Newcastle and Manchester City would be only 1. Crystal Palace is currently playing well. Well i would not so far and say that Bayern was lucky yesterday to get a draw. For me we saw two completely different halfs of the match yesterday. In the first half Bayern was the better Team for me. In the second half though Leipzig scored a very early goal which changed the game completely. They even had a higher ball possession there than Bayern, which does not happen very often. I haven't seen any update on the Christopher Nkunku transfer for Chelsea these days. Is this deal going to be completed in the summer anyway?
Because Leipzig and Chelsea have reached an agreement as far as I know. But the transfer is still not official for this summer. I don't see it on Transfermarkt at least. I even started to think about whether they are still thinking of completing another move for the attacking line. But on the other hand Felix is going to be a temporary striker for them as it is only until this summer. They will still need another striker if they can't extend his loan contract. In that case I guess Nkunku transfer would be finalised.
Leipzig's sporting director has confirmed Nkunku's move to Chelsea in the news. But there hasn't been an official announcement yet. I don’t understand what they are waiting for, maybe they are settling the formalities or they don’t want to announce that the current player of one team will become a player of another team with which Leipzig has a chance to play in the Champions League. Most likely the second, apparently the official announcement will be made when either Leipzig or Chelsea leave the Champions League. Nkunku's shift to Chelsea is a good change. And it would be impossible to prove that wrong person won because that would be a matter of taste so it would be perfect crime to make money. I did mentioned it on the ODI thread that this guys has secured his berth after his performance in the second ODI against Sri Lanka. In the third ODI he again lost his wicket after scoring just 7 or 6 runs. This is how you keep your berth safe in the playing 11, when in the past you have proven yourself. Everyone knows it Mumbai based players and Mumbai based celebrity players are the one who would eventually become as a captain for teams in different format and would also get multiple opportunities to prove themselves. It is evident from Gavaskar era. It is now clear that Rahul will eventually become the captain himself when Rohit is gone. The format would be only ODI and might be Test. I do not understand why India is doing this. I feel like they have better players who are more deserving of captaincy compared to KL Rahul. I agree that he can play well. And he is oftentimes a performer which India needs in certain situations. But I do not believe that he is going to be the best option to choose when it comes to the captaincy for India. Personally, I believe India has better options for the captaincy spot. I do not want to mention any names because I believe you guys can figure it out. KL Rahul has a strong sifarish behind him. Either he knows how to keep the selection committee happy or he knows how to keep ball rolling. But lets hope he performs well in upcoming matches and he keeps the team united. |
