1301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Get Its First Price? on: January 15, 2020, 03:34:37 PM
Only countries that manipulate the supply of their money are afraid of Bitcoin. Because the Bitcoin supply cannot be manipulated. Printing money around the world is normal, so nobody wants Bitcoin. I think that difficulties will continue to appear, but technological development is unstopable. It's like someone wants to stop the internet. Just as the internet is blocked in China or Korea. Bitcoin will become common whether individual countries want it or not. It is like trying to stop the river with a stick.
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving: Does it places an important role in the crypto market or not? on: January 15, 2020, 02:24:28 PM
~snip~

The article is very interesting, especially the article when it says:

Quote
This attribute of Bitcoin accounts for its perfectly inelastic supply and with halving at periodic intervals, the rate of growth in supply will decrease with every passing event until 2140.
https://www.etorox.com/news/opinions/understanding-the-effects-of-bitcoin-halving/

I think that as the reward is reduced the value of Bitcoin for simple Offer-Demand will rise, the Halving effect may begin to be seen from now on, the interest in Investors can be reflected in the Hodl mode, it is necessary to highlight that the New ATH looks very promising.

Of course, I have high hopes, like everyone, but in the post above I described some doubts:

Quote
A slight difference in the reward in coming halving, i.e. a small impact on supply and less demand caused by losses after the last ATH, can make, that if there will be a bull run at all, will be much smaller than the last.

I hope that I am wrong and after this halving the demand will be even higher than after the previous one, but I am not 100% sure that it will be so.
1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving: Does it places an important role in the crypto market or not? on: January 15, 2020, 01:24:18 PM
but when you think of halving as a price pumper then no it has no role to play whatsoever. specifically not in crypto market as a whole. when speaking of the market, the demand is the more important factor not the supply.
price pumper? I guess it does since every halving follows by a high demand resulting the price to increase and I think the trendiness of bitcoin compare to the last halving that occurred in 2016 is way bigger than it is now so most probably that will going to have a massive impact on bitcoin price although 85% of total supply has been mined. Does it play a vital role? for me it's a YES.

In my opinion, the opposite is true (if I understood you correctly.) With previous halvings, the impact on supply was much larger, because the difference in the reward was greater. The last halving made the biggest bull run because the popularity was huge. Now most people have heard about Bitcoin and most investors who were interested in high-risk investments lost through the two-year bear market. A slight difference in the reward in coming halving, i.e. a small impact on supply and less demand caused by losses after the last ATH, can make, that if there will be a bull run at all, will be much smaller than the last.
1304  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: January 15, 2020, 11:18:46 AM

One of the reason why they rank in Russia, because they have a Russian board there, the only local board in Cryptotalk, so many members are requesting their own board but until now they did not granted any local board request, another request that they failed to addressed until now is the deletion notification, I feel disappointed whenever I login in my Yobit panel to see my qualified post drops because of deletion, when I am not receiving a notification of deletion.

Unfortunately, but I don't think that is the only reason. I am convinced that the reason for the large spam on Cryptotalk from Russia is precisely that the posts are paid there. It is widely known that a lot of spam is coming out of Russia. Of course, this is not due to the desire to do only spam, but it is noticeable because it has a lot of citizens, and paid, online tasks are extremely popular there. Same happen with faucets visitors, they mainly are coming from Russia.
1305  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: January 15, 2020, 05:28:38 AM
As everyone knows that yobit have stopped the publicity of cryptotalk signature , so does this mean that they are no longer interested in that site or they have achieved what they wanted through https://cryptotalk.org/ ?

Is the pay per post campaign still running on their site and what could be their long terms plans ?

As far as I know, they are still running a pay per post campaign in their forum, so they certainly don't want to close Cryptotalk. In my opinion, they are most likely to analyze the effects of the campaign right now. If the effects are positive, they will probably come back to continue "Cryptotalk campaign" on Bitcointalk one day.

I invite you all to this thread and to read about the "Project Anastasia: Bitcoiners Against Identity Theft [re: Craig Wright scam]". Where it is very well explained what consequences Craig Wright should have for what he does:

1307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End to the Craig Wright FUD in less than a month - 3rd Feb 2020 on: January 14, 2020, 06:53:40 PM
In history, it has often happened that people pretended to be people who were missing many years ago. Mostly they were scammers who wanted to extort money from family of missed person, or they were mentally ill. We are not dealing with a family here, but it may be kind of a extorting scam. I think that while Craigh Wright does not look like a sick person, but he is somewhat unstable, and after February 3 he will just come up with another story to keep the crypto world's attention on himself.
1308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving: Does it places an important role in the crypto market or not? on: January 14, 2020, 04:33:20 PM
Of course, it does. We all know that it plays an important role in Bitcoin and us. Even before 2020, most of us were already expecting so much about bitcoin halving. It was designed to be there because it has a purpose and a role. Actually halving is such a great idea by Satoshi. From the past halving, it gives a positive impact on bitcoin price and the upcoming halving, it will also cause a pump to the price. And lastly, this coming halving will determine if bitcoin will set a new all-time high price.

So in your opinion, halving event is to increase the price and achieve a new ATH? Halving is very well advised and one of the most important features of Bitcoin.

Here is very interesting comment and prediction about coming halving from @theymos:

Quote
Some have said that this halving won't have as much effect as the last two, but it's still a reduction in monetary inflation from 3.7%/yr to 1.8%/yr, which is far from nothing, and in fact I see it as permanently bringing BTC out of the inflationary era and into the deflationary era. I'm not sure that we'll see 20k again in 2020 (though it could happen), but I think that 10k+ is quite likely several months after the halving. Historically, the post-halving runup has happened some time after the halving, presumably after people started to really feel the reduced supply.

For now though I don't see enough enthusiasm or other upward pressure. To the institutional investors who most push the market, BTC is largely seen as "leveraged gold", but the US/worldwide economy looks fine for now on its surface, fiat inflation isn't a widespread concern, etc. (BTC also has fundamental value beyond its value as "gold" -- a hedge against inflation and fiat collapse --, but this is a large component of the price currently.) So absent any major news, I think that the trendline is slightly downward for now. ("Major news" would be mostly regulatory-related, such as an approved BTC ETF or increased regulatory pressure. Probably the downside risk is higher than the upside risk here.)

One point of upward pressure is that there may have been some tax-loss-harvesting sales in Q4, which would now disappear. Not sure how big of an effect this was. And you might justify early-year volatility as people locking in gains ASAP in tax year 2020.

I predict that we'll sit in the 6k-7k range for some time between now and the halving, and although I wouldn't be too surprised to see prices in the lower half of that range, I'll guess near the high end, leading to my prediction of 6751-6800 on April 1. On the other hand, I predict that the supply reduction as well as mounting worldwide economic shakiness will cause a large runup (at least above 10k) in the second half of 2020. In the unlikely event that I win, please donate the BTC to a BTC-accepting charity of your choice (eg. intelligence.org or fee.org).

1309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving: Does it places an important role in the crypto market or not? on: January 14, 2020, 02:01:13 PM
Halving is very good for Bitcoin because of the law of economics, and more precisely because of the reduction in growing supply. When supply is not growing and demand increases, so does the price naturally increase also.

The only negative thing may be that miners will start capitulating and those who have had a large amount of BTC may want to sell their inventory. However, this is only a theoretical threat. Let's hope this doesn't happen.
1310  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we getting a pump and dump for this month? on: January 14, 2020, 01:25:50 PM
From what we see at the moment we might be. The price seems to be retracing back to the key levels of around 6.5k it has already been defended twice so it wouldn't be surprising if we get another strong bounce off of it. Hopefully that will be the last re-test and from then we will see the bull cycle begin. But who knows...

Time can tell, and the trend is still on the sideways. Its good to see bitcoin on the level of $8k again and hope to stay above on this price but yeah something can still happen, it can drop again or its time to move forward. This month of January is full of challenges, and a lot of shit things already happened in just a weeks of 2020, but still I’m confident on bitcoin price this year.

We all see that there is a lot of positive information, but the investors on market are very nervous. I think it will be like this by the end of January. I am more afraid of dump prices in February or March, shortly before the halving event.
1311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrew 60k USDC from Binance and it doesn't show on etherscan. Lost 60k???? on: January 08, 2020, 04:54:09 PM

This is the exact address i posted and showing in binance withdrawal history
Seems like your client provided his ETH address which is tied to Binance account.
"If a user withdraws assets from their Binance account to an existing Binance deposit address, this will be recognized as an internal transfer and will be processed without the need for any block confirmations and also have zero transfer fees."

https://www.binance.com/en/support/articles/360037037312

I think so too. It's an internal transaction between Binance addresses.

I am afraid that this transfer has not been made to this address, because it looks like external address:
0x5aef590cffd215be0f75b70a868af7521b9d776b

It seems the funds have not gone beyond Binance at all.

Ask Binance on witch address are this funds now.

EDIT:

Got it, thank you.

Great! Can you say what happened?
This could help to avoid mistakes by other users.
1312  Economy / Services / Re: Yobit.net signature campaign on: January 08, 2020, 11:38:24 AM
If this is not a good place to write about it, please tell me where to write about it.

Since yesterday from 19:00 21:00 forum time I wrote 8 posts. On Yobit dashboard, only 1 is counted. In the last 4 months, only 3 my posts have been deleted.

What's wrong and how can it be fixed?

EDIT: Now 3 posts are counted on Yobit dashboard. Will wait a bit more, maybe it will be counted later..

I don't think their day starts at the same time as the forum. Not 100% sure what time their day starts at all but could be a timezone issue.

They start counting my posts for next day always after 9pm

I have idea what happened, but will wait few hours more. I think now they start counting.
1313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrew 60k USDC from Binance and it doesn't show on etherscan. Lost 60k???? on: January 08, 2020, 10:39:03 AM

Sorry about the confusion, i did withdraw total of 60k but its in 4 transactions

1st is 15744
2nd is 15651.832499
3rd is 15758.636874

Finding 4th one

i am sorry if its lame, i do feel like a monkey with a gun, not knowing what i am doing.
You are providing txid code that will be used to create a ticket support when you are having a problem with your tx but you are not providing the correct txid for your withdrawal transaction. The wallet that you have already provided above is a wallet that already used to send USDT and USDC to the binance wallet. It looks like all of the tx were deposits transaction.
did you check it before?

Now we know a little more ..
If you do not have a transaction ID such as this:

https://etherscan.io/tx/0x60c4bcf4a5a9afc984b3cc474eca446a0ac2a28b0f7a60e6176081e1ee72afc4

And you have only internal transaction numbers, it is very likely that these transfers did not leave Binance at all. Just write ticked to support and they should explain everything.
1314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrew 60k USDC from Binance and it doesn't show on etherscan. Lost 60k???? on: January 08, 2020, 09:50:54 AM
Am i missing something? I don't usually use UDSC but a client wanted only USDC to be sent to them. So i deposit BTC to Binance account, trader for USDC and withdraw to clients eth address

I don't see them, am i doing something wrong or just lost 60k in USDC?

Address to which withdrew is 0x5aef590cffd215be0f75b70a868af7521b9d776b

1st Transaction in binance shows following info
USDC withdraw 15744
Txid: Internal transfer 6145405817

Not much can be checked from what you have provided. I also deduced that this was the transaction that @NeuroticFish found:

https://etherscan.io/tx/0x60c4bcf4a5a9afc984b3cc474eca446a0ac2a28b0f7a60e6176081e1ee72afc4

But with this transaction everything seems fine, because 10 minutes later 60k USDC from address you provided:

0x5aef590cffd215be0f75b70a868af7521b9d776b

Has been transferred in this transaction:

https://etherscan.io/tx/0xd4dbd545ece9d3f805f64fa51ee6d2de25602bde70e2a534927cd74ceb30e0d7

To the Binance address.

So this 60k USDC should be on Binance, unless it was later transferred to another location.
1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Year of changed altcoin discussion mentality on: January 08, 2020, 02:08:00 AM
History is strikingly similar. Currently, in the next bull market, the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market value may be eliminated, and who can enter the top 10 market capitalization. They can only continue with continuous technological innovation and a well-funded team. Other cryptocurrencies are more likely to be eliminated. After all, funding is limited. Development is difficult.

With every new ATH and each subsequent bull run, more money appears on the cryptocurrency market. At the recent ATH, thousands of new cryptocurrencies appeared and there was enough money for their development. The next bull run should be even bigger, so there will definitely be enough money for those who are already on the market and probably for a large number of new ones. This is not about the amount of money, but about investors changing their attitude from negative, which arose through the long bear market, to positive. Then certainly capital for everyone will be found.
1316  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bot trading domination: Time to panic? on: January 08, 2020, 01:11:22 AM
Bots have been on the exchanges for years. All cryptocurrency exchanges are full of bots. On Bitcointalk in the Marketplace section you can find plenty of offers for selling bots for trade. Bots that have banks can do several dozen transactions per second. This is nothing new because this has been the case for years.
1317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin btc- Why will always be on top. I see BitBall Btb as the next bitcoin 🤷‍♂️ on: January 08, 2020, 12:04:20 AM
It seems that BTB has the potential to enter the market in a good way. I think 2020 will be a year for new active projects with great potential. Investors have lost a lot on projects that have been on the market for years, so they will look for new investment opportunities. Of course, talking about the fact that BTB will be the second Bitcoin is only the dreams of developers, but I think it will have a chance to attract investors and achieve a very good price result.
1318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Year of changed altcoin discussion mentality on: January 07, 2020, 10:08:40 PM
It's a new year guys and we all expect changes and this changes we expecting them to be of the positive side.
And especially we need that positive Energy directed towards the altcoin discussion section.
If this section is free from all the vices or bad posting it would become beneficial to everyone. We have so many investors some who are not yet even registered but Check up on the forum for information or something they can lay there hands on to direct them so it becomes bad when the get to read so much post which are not useful to anyone.
This is a new year and there might just be a good chance for altcoin to raise. And a good conduct here on this section would go a Long way to increasing the Chance for that

Certainly there will be a reason for positive conversations about Altcoins when the bull run starts at the Bitcoin price. Unfortunately, but the prices of all coins on the cryptocurrency market are permanently linked to the price of Bitcoin. If this does not change, everyone will look at the king first and then at alts. Anyway, I'm sure this year will be good for the entire cryptocurrency market.
1319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now that we are in 2020 on: January 07, 2020, 09:41:26 PM
We are in 2020 and we hope to see a good start of the market this year, this year we are hopeful that a bull run could come again due to many big events, one popular one for bitcoin is its halving and for altcoins, Libra launch?? i know some would disagree as they are against in Libra project.

But here's the question, if the market goes bullish and altcoins are pumping, do you think when there is an ICO, people are still going to invest?

personally I believe they will not because there an IEO already but I like to hear yours.

I think that if the ICO market is not regulated, investors will be afraid of scammers. IEO reduces the chances of scammers, but still does not protect investors. The safest option for investors is STO and in my opinion this year is the market that will develop best.
1320  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we getting a pump and dump for this month? on: January 07, 2020, 06:25:32 PM
Of course, any scenario is possible, but I'm not thinking that someone will want to do the pump at the beginning of the year. I think attempts to do a flash crash are more likely. If they are trying to make a pump, I think it will be in March or April at the earliest.
I was not expecting a rally now but yet the market recovered in the past few days but i am not sure because of the tensions in the Middle East or some other reason, the market is trying to break the resistance and move higher and lets see how it will go in the next few days but there is a resistance to break $8k and if it is able to break in the next few trading days then we will see some rally until it touches the next resistance.

As for the threat of the war in Iraq, we can expect stable growth rather than pymp & dump. It is very possible that the resistance at the $8k level will be broken and we will observe further growth. I meant that I don't expect pump & dump in the next few weeks.

Ps. I removed "Of course" from the beginning of the post, it was a bit confusing.
