21  Economy / Speculation / Re: LAST CHANCE TO BUY UNDER $300 FOREVER on: October 31, 2015, 02:29:27 AM
Don't know whether this time it will become a reality but those people that saw the price moving past the $10 level and probably that was the last time that they saw bitcoin at the price. There's a good chance it will but the risk for it to retrace back to the original level is still there. Just be patient. These few weeks ahead might give us good indication
22  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible top, but breakthrough very possible as well. on: October 31, 2015, 02:16:45 AM
Looks to be that way but the market seems to be rather undecided on the direction right now. People are still waiting for firm signals. But as always when it comes to bitcoin it's very difficult to predict what will be the next move. Once it broke through the resistance level, I think it will rise very fast before we can see some pullback. Brace yourselves guys.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC will cause the end of public debt? on: October 31, 2015, 01:55:18 AM
That would be the ideal scenario but in no way bitcoin can be created. But don't forget there might be entities for example exchangers acting sort of like banks and having people depositing and entrusting the fund to it. Eventually this goes back to the same fiat scenario, the exchanger might actually be using the money for something else and ended up with no liquidity. Whatever number in the ledger might not exist and that is where we have debt.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China (Unofficially) Authorizes Bitcoin! on: October 31, 2015, 01:45:23 AM
I'm not sure if it means full endorsement but way I see it, it's more towards removing the barrier and limitation that they had imposed previously. And that is a good enough reason to drive the bullish sentiment. Exactly what we need right now is the fund from china to push the price upwards and rest of the world will buy in as well.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Riddle me this? on: October 31, 2015, 01:29:51 AM
If the price value does increase, I assume at that point people are actually using it as a real currency and not just buying and hoarding which I think is not sustainable in the long run to drive further price increase. When the demand is natural for example using it as a cross border transaction mode of transfer, that is where I see bitcoin having the most potential.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe we need more ways of advertising Bitcoin currency? on: October 31, 2015, 01:26:04 AM
I think one of the best advertising method is to have each and every bitcoin users to play the role of ambassador. I remember reading one of the thread here in this forum about how an individual rather than telling how good bitcoin is, might as well show his/her friends how to use it and how it can function like a real currency. It's like action speaks louder than words.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: October 30, 2015, 02:53:57 PM
I think there can never be the right time. If you think it's a perfect investment opportunity where it still allows you a good entry point with the price not too high, then should consider going for it. I would like as well to buy at the lowest possible price but sometimes it may not always be possible.
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Cover For Oct 31-Nov 6 (The Economist) on: October 30, 2015, 02:47:19 PM
I happen to notice the statement on "In blockchain we trust". And perhaps another thing that caught my attention is how they want to deliver the message that a currency can be technology based and with the chain and gear image, i think it's a good choice used as the perfect representation.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Dollar on: October 30, 2015, 02:37:57 PM
Basically what makes it different compared to dollar is that there can only be 21 millions of bitcoin. So essentially if adoption rate scale up accordingly and there is a limit cap in place, you know that your money can only increase in value as times go by, unlike the opposite with fiat.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: Why bitcoin will appreciate forever on: October 29, 2015, 01:50:21 PM
I think the main driver or factor that will ensure bitcoin will continue to appreciate in value would be that the next generation of people I presume will be more competent and skilled in network and computers and that is where there will be continuation. And furthermore world population is increasing the amount of bitcoin available will not be enough for all. I assume that is also one of the factors.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: October 29, 2015, 01:42:32 PM
Your should use your bitcoin directly to buy the house instead of converting to fiat and then use it to pay. It's your bitcoin anyway, so it's up to you what you wanted to do with it. Property should be a good investment and it's like diversifying your portfolio and spread your risk around. I already have my plans on what I wanted to do with mine
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin CEO spent stolen funds to Buy Sex on: October 29, 2015, 01:39:43 PM
Well at least the fun are now short-lived. Enjoy it while it lasts. What is most depressing is that those people who actually lost their money have no way to recover back the coins and now after reading this news, it will make it even worse. Also I wonder if there are still some amount getting stashed away waiting to be recovered.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and other cryptocoin. The best? on: October 29, 2015, 01:33:11 PM
Fact is we never ask or request for the other coins to be made. Since bitcoin code is open source, there is probably nothing we can do about it to stop the creation of the other cryptos. I haven't really seen one that introduces the best feature or solutions to bitcoin's problem. In fact they all share the same core issue and the major problem is that these coins have been giving bitcoin the negative perception in a way.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debate: Do you think criminals do more good than harm to bitcoin? on: October 29, 2015, 01:30:29 PM
Nope it's the other way round. The problem is the media has been spinning all the information they want it to so that they can sell the news. Fact is all the negative revelations are actually hurting bitcoin reputation is some way or another. Not that we can control it but if only there is something that can be done to change it.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guys... I'm having this feeling again on: October 29, 2015, 01:27:26 PM
Nicely put. Well I always have all the precautions taken to protect what I treasure most. I don't mind investing in reliable hardware just to secure the coins and another part of it, I've been constantly reading about what are the best ways to maintain security including encryption. I hope the other backpackers are choosing to use the same currency that I have in my wallet.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and its (eventual) evolution. A risk for BTC owner? on: October 29, 2015, 01:23:13 PM
At this stage, I would say there are still uncertainties. In fact nothing in this world is forever firmed or guaranteed and for bitcoin, there is no exception. But looking at it and the progress it has made over the years, there is a high possibility things are moving towards the positive side. In fact, the risk will always be there
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese Government Starting to Buy Bitcoin? on: October 29, 2015, 01:18:35 PM
That could potentially explain why the price is moving up these few days. Based on what you've said, I can imagine they could even get themselves involved directly in the mining process and instead of dumping the coins in the open market they are keeping all the mined coins. They could even cooperate with the existing mining farms and operate like joint ventures.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin problems? on: October 28, 2015, 01:12:42 PM

- the probability that anyone generate a bruteforce attack generating a lot of keys (public, private) and steal bitcoin

Thank you
All bitcoin private keys were already exposed here www.directory.io , www.buttcoins.com . Unfortunately, No one can find a bitcoin address with balance. Because of probability & maths.

Even though all the keys are valid but in no way these are indexed and kept in a library. Imagine the computing space and size just to keep and maintain the list. The pages with all the keys are generated on the go which means that whatever random page number that you enter, these will be instantly generated based on mathematically calculation. Trust me, your private keys are safe and in no way somebody is going to find it.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People become believers when they see you pay IRL on: October 28, 2015, 01:07:20 PM
Sounds cool. Putting forward a real life example and getting people to see it themselves is obviously much better than spending countless hours trying to convince people with the same message and repeating non stop. In the end a far simpler approach is much more effective.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Proposes Jail Sentence for Bitcoin Activities on: October 28, 2015, 01:03:20 PM
I'm not sure how they are going to implement the control measures and the more they overdo it, people will even crave more and treasure cryptocurrencies. I don't understand why it reaches up to that level for them to make that decision. Obviously they see it as a threat.
