781  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What trading tools would you guys want? on: April 11, 2015, 07:03:21 AM
Certain people trade based on sentiment and news event. Maybe just for your consideration, probably your site can offer something similar whereby there is a section with custom api implemented where it pulls news feed from established sites like coindesk, reddit, cointelegraph, cryptocoinsnews and compile all that into one place. Also it would be very convenient and allow us to see how it relates to bitcoin price movement at a specific time when the news were released.
782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I learn some BTC trading tips ? on: April 11, 2015, 06:56:41 AM
For me trading btc/usd pair is more or less the same like trading any of those forex pairs. If you have some experience dealing with forex before, it's pretty much the same. If you don't, then you should start with the basics.

You can try head over to http://www.babypips.com/school
Over there you will find topics related to how to observe the patterns, the common terms and terminology including the basics on how to develop trading plan. From there, the rest of skills depends on you learn based on experience.  Wink
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8,400 bitcoin on: April 11, 2015, 04:58:23 AM
It will probably mean something if let's say the large transfers were reflected and coupled with heavy movement in the bitcoin price. But most of the time it's just the exchangers doing some internal transfer to their cold wallet or vice versa. Watching the numbers move around might be fun for certain people but not me.
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blizzard creates own currency "WoW Gold" instead of using Bitcoin on: April 11, 2015, 04:49:39 AM
If they don't integrate bitcoin to their system, people can still find other channels to acquire wow gold to pay using bitcoin. There are a lot of websites and marketplace that you can trade without using their system. So either way for them it's a loss of opportunity and imagine the amount of fees they could have collected if it was done through their system.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks and Bitcoin on: April 11, 2015, 02:37:13 AM
As long as bitcoin is priced in fiat, exchanges will continue to take place. From here, banks could profit by providing additional services like what exchanger does to convert to fiat and earn from commission. They could even offer bitcoin accounts and change monthly maintenance fee for that. The question is here whether they want to do it considering bitcoin is in direct competition to fiat and having the potential to replace current system some day.
786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa May Leapfrog Traditional Banking on: April 11, 2015, 02:30:24 AM
Other than having everything including all basic daily necessities priced in bitcoin, we also have to consider accessibility to internet connection. That generally means coverage in every areas. Apart from that, prices of smartphone also need to be in the range where it is affordable by everyone. Maybe in years to come, when technology advances and production of chips become cheaper, that will be possible.
787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying and holding BTC without mining.. on: April 11, 2015, 02:22:36 AM
Well your amount of bitcoin is definitely not going to change if you don't do anything to it but its value has the potential to go up in years to come. As long as you maintain it in cold wallet, generally it should be safe. So by itself just holding onto bitcoin is already considered an investment.
788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 116 million on: April 11, 2015, 01:05:22 AM
Well, the size of funding speaks for itself. If weren't because of what bitcoin technology has to offer, I'm sure nobody would be putting that sum of money for investment. It's been a month now since the announcement, just hope that by now they would have come out with something.
789  Other / MultiBit / Re: transaction question-Please can you help with your knowledge on: April 11, 2015, 12:51:51 AM
I haven't been paying attention to multibit for some time now. So, I didn't realize that there's additional 1,000 satoshi on each transaction that actually goes to the dev. Anyway, the version that I'm still using right now is 0.5.18, definitely not the HD version and usually the fee of 10000 will get deducted which is very much the standard Bitcoin transaction fee.
790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mandatory Bitcoin purchasing, to be performed by each state on: April 11, 2015, 12:42:07 AM
I propose a purchasing agreement, which mandates every state in the World to buy a certain amount of Bitcoin every year. The amount will be coupled to the country's respective GDP and could be something along the lines of 0.001%-0.01% of it. The states have to hold on to their purchased coins for a given amount of time until they can invest them again.

Which other rules and what conditions and timeframes for selling off the coins do you suggest should be implemented?

Before we even talk about the rules and conditions, how we are going to supposedly make it mandatory for each country in the world to adopt bitcoin in the first place? If they fail to see its potential, then so be it. I'm sure citizens have seen that and have voluntarily adopt bitcoin on their own.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you mine it or buy it? on: April 10, 2015, 03:36:07 PM
I started pretty late so my only option was to buy and then at the same time earn some by providing services. I did consider trying my luck on cloud mining services but after reading so much negative stories, in the end, it still goes back to getting my supply from exchangers.
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Examples of public rejection of fiat on: April 10, 2015, 03:26:42 PM
The only condition where I can see when supplier don't accept fiat is because the item or services was meant to be given away for free. There are places where businesses don't accept credit card but fiat is generally a yes. Perhaps this could change one day when shops will only accept bitcoins and nothing else.
793  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your price speculation for BTC at the end of 2015? on: April 10, 2015, 03:04:23 PM
It would be a bonus if price can maintain within 250 to 300 level. Until the halving kicks in next year, I don't think we'll be expecting something extraordinary to happen unless there's a really big news event to support the price. We'll just have to put hope that bitcoin can hold the line.
794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Going back down to 230, then 180, then 150, then 66? on: April 10, 2015, 02:56:33 PM
Looking at the chart, I think 230 is the key support level. If it breaks through this resistance, there will be more downside coming our way. Trying to be optimistic at the moment. Currently price is holding strong at 235 but anything can still happen right now.
795  Economy / Economics / Re: Traditional Banks and Bitcoin on: April 10, 2015, 02:46:37 PM
I think their agenda is more towards developing their own brand of currency which they can control and issue. Blockchain technology is the key but they have no way of controlling Bitcoin that's for sure, so they must develop something out of it.
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Statements that precede bitcoin poverty on: April 09, 2015, 02:24:19 PM
I can imagine something similar like these:
Deposit your bitcoin to our account and watch it grow like never before. We guarantee 10 percent of interest per month added directly to your account. Special offer. Get additional 2 percent return per month (no limit) with new accounts signed up under your referrals. Come join and let us help you turn your dreams into reality.
797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just to complicated for the average person to use.. on: April 09, 2015, 02:07:14 PM
I was taken aback by that statement but later realized it's the opposite. Yeah I'm surprised there are people who would rather not bothered at all about bitcoin and their reasons are that it is too hard to learn up. The only difficult part that I see more  challenging is the security and apart from that understanding and using bitcoin is pretty straightforward.
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LE is using LocalBitcons as a honeypot to trap criminals - What to do? on: April 09, 2015, 12:47:12 PM
I suppose what you are saying is getting wrongly reprimanded because you are doing trading in large amount and they get suspicious on where your coins came from. Well, never mind, I'm keeping my coins for now but if I really want to cash out, I would rather spend it to buy something useful for instance like a brand new laptop from Dell. Doing that probably wouldn't create any issue.
799  Economy / Speculation / Re: why do these 'bears' sit around and talk about bitcoin all day? on: April 09, 2015, 12:31:06 PM
Because every time they crash the price, they will make a nice profit out of it. Fact is they don't care much what happens next and their only concern is to how much to fill their pocket. Their job is create FUD and spread all the lies and negatively about bitcoin and they work in cohesion to manipulate the price.
800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Success rate for Game Changing Technology/Food for thought on: April 09, 2015, 12:25:10 PM
Many game changing technologies get suppressed by elites who stand the most to lose from their implementations.

Free energy on a global scale is already possible yet we are still reliant on oil.

Many cures to cancer have been found, yet we still rely on chemo therapy; that in itself is worse than cancer. Whoever conjured up that idea and convinced others to believe in it is beyond me.

HIV, AIDS, all diseases known to man are curable, yet we are still made to believe in big PHARMA.

Oh, and those famous pyramids in Egypt... You can damn well bet that technology has been suppressed also.

Now tell me.. What be the success rate of bitcoin?

Humanity has a long long history of oppression and suppression, just because a technology is revolutionary is by no means an indicator of its success.

I agree, it's not because bitcoin did not get the attention, it's just getting all the wrong attention that reflects on it negatively and I believe all that comes from those who are bent on seeing bitcoin fail. It's a game changing technology alright, there is no doubt about it. But bitcoin's success will spell disruption or an end to the current system that has so far fed the elites so well that they will stand to lose everything if bitcoin took over one day.
