It used to be hard for a coin to get on an exchange, now new scam coins are all added too quickly.
I don't blame bittrex on this one, it was not instant added like Concealcoin, I don't think they are in on the scam.
Exchanges are becoming a cutthroat competition, I don't think bittrex is making huge profits now, do they have money to add a code review team?.

Guys it is unfair to blame Bittrex or any other exchange that adds a coin. The answer is sometimes right in front of you by applying good common sense and looking at the risk indicators. By looking at a few things you can make a call on the residual risk of a coin based on risk factors and then see how that fits into your risk appetite. You can then either stay away or risk it all and the alt-coin exchanges currently just provide a vehicle to cater for the whole of the spectrum of risk appetite. In the absence of regulation in alt coins (self or otherwise) you can do certain basic things to protect yourself: Elite was high risk based on such an assessment, refer here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=702757.msg7974656#msg7974656which new X11 scam coin released past week was low risk???  I think the eco system will change to a reputation based new coin release, someone will have to come out and said I was this successful coin dev, and I am making a new one for people to mine. But there are too much spare X11 hash power out there, look, someone still throwing 2G hash at LTCX, a coin long dead. |

Furthermore, you say I am here for the pump and dump game and just want to hit exchanges. I never contacted any of the exchanges they were the one's that added the coin. I am here to provide what the community wants, a coin with an anon solution, decentralization, and real use. I made the coin and proposed certain features. Unlike other altcoins which come up with random theories about anon solutions or features I based my features on real source code which is linked on the first page of the announcement. Furthermore, even if i wanted to there was no way for me to instamine this coin. We go stuck at a block beacause the POW difficulty went up to 2.7k because of massive multipools jumping on and off. We were supposed to have set coin reward to 1 just like CLOACK for the first 50 blocks. That would have given us enough time to calibrate and stabilize. Because we got stuck at a block for longer than an hour (keep in mind the blocks were only 60 seconds long) I had to relaunch. Let's say I tried instamining the relaunch which many of you thought I would do, it ended up forking and the community decided that it wanted the non official fork to be the main fork. I went along with it and did what the community wanted me to do, change to the other fork. So all in all I ended up with no instamined or premined coins and I am sticking around not for profits but because this coin has seemed to take a direction of its own. It is amazing what a strong community can do. I watched through the whole thing: 1) zero win for dev because of the major screwups. he has no instamine or premine, its true. (it must be his first release because he didn't know the proper tricks to instamine or prevent being forked) 2) zero win for miners at this price, even early miners. 3) zero win for exchanges with only 6 BTC volume. whats amazing is the 250G hash rate now... it shows there is a huge surplus of x11 hash power with nowhere to go. conclusion: daily new X11 coin release is wasting electricity for nothing. good luck everyone. |

just let you guys know, a big multipool with 50G is mining ELITE and selling them cheap at current price, its better just to buy the coin off the market than mining.
