Mr. poolwaffle:

do you have CYC | Conspiracycoin in the X11 choice? it seems quite profitable at this low difficulty according to stats from other multipools, and with our 20G we can slice through it like knife in butter.

Has anyone done the math as to what drk price should be as to break even for mining/powercost ?

It will be a variable depending on the current net hash rate and difficulty...
so I always tell my friends, forget mining, just buy with BTC.

must hold the psychological price of 0.01BTC, you big DRK whales need to help the effort.

Net hashrate is sinking...

And ONE miner named hashking has 7GH mining 200 coins a day on xhash.net...

You might want to end that PoW before ONE person owns 50% of the coins.

You can invest to get 7GH yourself, its a fair game.
only huge premines are unfair.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best and most accurate x11 pool to mine ? on: July 24, 2014, 02:54:16 AM
I would like to know what the most profitable and most accurate x11 mining pool is.

Tried out coinking and all I can say they are scamers, be aware, payouts only 25% of what they claim !
So far using Multipool, same story here, payout only like 50% of what they claim..

Would like to finally get the expected daily revenue all the sites claiming

For example : Couple days ago it was like 0.0009 x 55 MH/s = 0.049 BTC, but I only got like 0.25 BTC..

Anyway..wherever I mine x11 I never got the expected revenue like when I was mining for scrypt..
There I was always able to have same results like the site is claiming per BTC/MH/s day..

Loosing faith in my math on x11, never made it to the amount they claim BTC per mh/s day  :/

Any help is appreciated..

0.0009 BTC/1MH X11 per 24 hour is an impossible number, tell me which pool you getting consistent 0.00045 BTC/1MH X11 every 24 hour I will go there right now.

my test shown X13 is not that good because although in old days:

"In the case of algorithms besides Scrypt, we multiply by the average change in speed when a miner switches to that algorithm. Scrypt-N is 0.47 (a 1MHs miner on Scrypt does about 470kHs on Scrypt-N). X11 is 4.0 (a 1MHs Scrypt miner will normally do around 4MHs on X11). X13 is 3.5. This lets you look quickly at the "vsLTC" column to see how well each algorithm is performing on a normalized scale. "

The new situation is using best miner today, a 280X can do 4.2MHs on X11 but only 2.9-3.0 on X13. So I stick with X11 for now, and some new X13 coins became worthless after mining.
(except today, the X11 number looks bad)

It's interesting you say that, I got 15 rigs on each algo, x11 = 250 Mhs, x13 = 200 Mhs...

Total payout so far (I've been on for roughly 24 hours) - x11 = 0.09007237 & x13 = 0.10509369...

Need more time to come up with meaningful stats, I'm going to give it a week...

are those payout earned payout or including unconverted payout?

I gotta take my hat off to whomever runs this pool... Lowest number of rejects from any multipool I've ever tried...

I'm averaging about 0.3% rejects from each rig... That's pretty damn impressive...

Go somewhere like clevermining and you'll be lucky to sit on 5%...
told u to try this one, and use the proceed to buy back DRK Grin

this pool can take on extra 80G of chinese X11 hash with zero sweat.

could be
1) network issue,
2) first 18 hour he was mining high difficulty coins, now he is mining low difficulty fast new coins, that will cause the massive variance issue with d=0.16 , consider that.
3) check the scale of the graph Smiley

Yes I thought about the high diff coin reason.  It's also happened on the x13 port which is why I thought it may have been something else.  I've got half my rigs on x11 and half on x13 (which is also another test of mine), it's pretty even so far.

I just took my x11 rigs down to a diff of .08, we'll see if that makes any difference.

my test shown X13 is not that good because although in old days:

"In the case of algorithms besides Scrypt, we multiply by the average change in speed when a miner switches to that algorithm. Scrypt-N is 0.47 (a 1MHs miner on Scrypt does about 470kHs on Scrypt-N). Problems with stratum?  My charts are up and down like a yo yo...
Hi there, I thought you are going with p2pool Smiley

Hint, set a lower difficulty in password like d=0.05, if you use 280x, so your hash rate will be more steady.
But don't set it too low.

My testing shown difficulty should be set according to the hash rate of per card, not the whole rig, for example, if you have 4 280x, setting a 0.16 difficulty will waste tons of your hash rate because waffle pool is fast at finding blocks, if it takes over 1 or 2 minute for each a card to submit a work, there is a big chance a new block has been found and your wasted lots of GPU time hashing the old block.  So set d=0.05 no matter how many 280x you have in your rig will work better.

I am talking about X11. The theory is each card was actually working individually with 2 threads (-g 2) on solving the assigned work, they don't work together, 4 cards in a rig means you have 8 threads working independently, but the difficulty set in stratum protocol was assigned to each card, not divided among the number of cards.

so, for example, rig 1 has 1 280x, I use d=0.05, rig 2 has 6 280x, I still use d=0.05, each card (thread) will submit a hash in same amount of time.

but if you use d=0.30 on that 6 280x rig, each card will take 2-3 minutes to submit a hash and there is a good chance it will be stale or being interrupted in the middle of working because a new block has been found.

correct me if I am wrong.

I'm running tests at the moment, multipools vs P2Pool vs pool mining DRK directly...  Whatever gets me more DRK is what I will settle on.

Graphs were smooth as silk for the first 18 hours, woke up this morning to find massive variances.  I've currently got diff on 0.16, each rig is around 16 Mh/s on x11.

could be
1) network issue,
2) first 18 hour he was mining high difficulty coins, now he is mining low difficulty fast new coins, that will cause the massive variance issue with d=0.16 , consider that.
3) check the scale of the graph Smiley

72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sgminer HD5XXX AMD gpu cards support on: July 23, 2014, 10:57:23 PM
FYI, 5870 is a 150W card and gpu is one generations ago, 280X is a 300W card, I don't think you will see any big further hash rate increase in 5870...
sure you can pick up 4 old 5870 card for the price of 1 new 280X, but you need to buy another power supply to give you more PCIE Power cables...

also, 5870 was much hotter.

Relax people. Its only been less than 24 hours. Bittrex adds coins based off of community interest. They will add this coin no doubt, just give it a little time for christs sake.

BS, Bittrex will only add flash scam coins like Conceal and Vast instantly but not others, makes you wonder.

there are also many 30-40 BTC volume days on Mintpal.

BTW, what the hell are those 0.51001 DRK sell orders on Mintpal?

280x @ 3.8 Mhs (Core Clock 535, MemClock 735) -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 15 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --temp-target 75 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 10-85 --no-submit-stale.

epic fail, I am getting 1.9 Mhs, did you count 2 cards?

I was getting 4.2 MHs

BTW, I actually set those number with --gpu-engine 535 and --gpu-memclock 735

I think if you don't set, you were running at full speed, just lower -I 15

press g in your sgminer window to check

I'm using MSI Afterburner Profiles, I find it easier to play on the fly...

I was going to suggest, you can keep clocks at standard speeds, it doesn't seem to make that much difference on power and speed with 14.6... I just do it for good measure...

thanks for the suggestion, never mind. I still want to say its impossible to do 3.8Mhs on 280x if your cards are actually running at Core Clock 535, MemClock 735, and I don't think using afterburner profiles is the right way to go. good luck.

some advice guys about the following tip i got for my AMD R280X thats currently running at 4.3 MH/s for X11
(using SGminer v5 with -k darkcoin-mod) --> http://www.reddit.com/r/DRKCoin/comments/2bbqt3/holy_cow_batman_i_just_downloaded_the_new_sgminer/

*****************************************************************************************
press g on sgminer, then press x. after that type 500 and press enter. tell me if that boosts your hashrate.
I think you need more than 4-8gb of ram for it to run without hardware errors though. DDR3 ram to be exact.
I also have the new pci express i think its either 2.0 or 3.0 i have to check.
*****************************************************************************************

what does that x 500 (--xintensity 500) precisely do ? i dont feel like blowing up my graphic card just to find out... Smiley

btw.. this is my current batch file (i dont use conf. files) :

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
c:\sgminerdarkcoin\sgminer.exe -k darkcoin-mod -o stratum+tcp://stratum-eu.suchpool.pw:3335 --failover-switch-delay 60 --no-submit-stale --gpu-dyninterval 7 --gpu-platform 0 --api-mcast-port 4028 --api-port 4028 --expiry 1 --log 5 --no-pool-disable --tcp-keepalive 30 --temp-hysteresis 3 --shares 0 --vectors 1 -u YrUsername.1 -p Yrpassword --expiry 1 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --gpu-engine 1150 --gpu-memclock 1500 -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 -I 18 --thread-concurrency 8192 --shaders 2048

As I've gone full retard and moved into my warehouse where my farm is located, I've gone for the low power/low noise option for my rigs... They still do OK in terms of speed, if anyone is interested here's a whisper quiet config for the fans and it sucks less power:

290 @ 4.7 Mhs (Core Clock 520, MemClock 625) -I 17 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --temp-target 75 --auto-fan --no-submit-stale
280x @ 3.8 Mhs (Core Clock 535, MemClock 735) -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 15 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --temp-target 75 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 10-85 --no-submit-stale.
270x @ 2.9 Mhs (Core Clock 575, MemClock 750)  -g 2 -w 64 --thread-concurrency 8192 --rawintensity 81920 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --no-submit-stale

rem setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
rem setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
rem setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Enjoy  Smiley

280x @ 3.8 Mhs (Core Clock 535, MemClock 735), I will give this a try to make the cards last longer
