1  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] SebastianJu - Free Legendary Escrow Service - Escrowed over 8150 BTC on: March 14, 2016, 09:41:05 AM
Great escrow.  Everything went smooth!
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: March 10, 2016, 02:25:28 PM
I agree with abonarea: You need a strong will to stop gambling at the right time.
Many gamblers cant stop and lose all their money again.
Use a good strategy, be patient, be smart and have a strong will.  Cool

5  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [closed] jorjito's computer shop back in biz *UPDATE JANUARY 28* on: February 13, 2016, 02:32:13 PM
Can you at least respond to my PM which I'm waiting for a month maybe, at least say something, if there is no deal you really wasted my time a lot.
6  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [OPEN!] jorjito's computer shop back in biz *UPDATE JANUARY 28* on: February 05, 2016, 07:20:49 PM
We've come a little bit on the way to solve the mess a bit of icy sidewalk and a clumsy guy can cause. Much of this is due to SebastianJu's work. If you made a deal but forgot to tip him, please do it now.

All but three deals are solved, and in two of them we are discussing plausible solutions. I have great expectations that we'll feel OK with the solutions we find. For the third, I have PMed the customer that I, after literately months, finally have what he once ordered (when we had "order what you want and we try to find it").

I'm hesitant to whether to keep the thread open or not. I'd like to avoid constant bumping, asking for cheap SSDs; on the other hand I don't want to be accused of closing it to keep critique out. I'll think I chose the way in the middle: to keep it open to all deals are solved and for the time being.

Although it does look bad, this might very well not be the end and the shop permanently dead. I have good faith we will/can be back, wiser from the experiences from this, and continue to offer certain computer-parts to awesome prices.  Smiley
Keep it open at least until we finish our deal which I'm waiting almost a month or maybe more as 3 of us now (you, me, escrow).

There are still unanswered PMs, but I really need to sleep. See you to morrow!  Smiley
Wake up buddy, you almost slept for 6 days, hope you are alive lol Cheesy, check my PMs when you have time.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1k in january on: January 23, 2016, 12:31:03 PM
bitcoin is going to $1k in january and $2k 1 minute after block halving.  be prepared... be very prepared
Saying the truth bitcoin has no chance to worth $1k in this January, price is not stable nowadays, maybe at the next January it will reach $1k.

Without the Hearn stuff we might have been able to go there.

There was just too much negative news this month. All things considering, price remained relatively good actually.

February, here we come!
Although with all these negative news bitcoin will continue it's own journey, it's nothing if a developer leaves his job, but $1k to be reached this month is simply impossible.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Has anyone used the HW.1 or Ledger Nano Bitcoin wallet? on: January 23, 2016, 12:25:51 PM

Thanks for the tip, BIP39 Word list contains 2048 words, what are the chances to bruteforce the 24word seeds of the Ledger wallet?

2048^24 as for each word it randomly choses one from the list, which would be 2.9642775e+79.

This number is astronimically high. It is basically creating a 24 character password, but instead of only keyboard input, you now have 2048 inputs to choose from.
I know the number is really high(2.96e+79) but for bruteforcers how long can it take, because it is random they can probably be lucky and find within a month maybe!! I'm just curious.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with 1,5 BTC? on: January 23, 2016, 12:20:59 PM
Hey so i recently got about 1,5 BTC from a service i started and now im wondering what i should do with this. Any tips?

A while before there were cloudmining were paid some users but scammed most of others, now i haven't seen any of them thay pay (or the ROI will take years), i would suggest holding and i believe that you will earn in few years.
11  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: January 23, 2016, 12:19:39 PM
I am looking to help move BTC forward into our economy more and would like to get some suggestions on how we can get more retailers to accept BTC as a payment.  The best part about accepting BTC is that they do not have any threat of charge-back from the customer.  I am just looking for some more input before I start approaching some of these local retailers.
It's really hard to encourage local businesses to accept btc now, because when you show to them the recent price chart they will be afraid because if they sell something they can not make profit if the price decreases.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods? on: January 23, 2016, 12:18:18 PM
It was my mum's birthday yesterday. And I wanted to buy a birthday cake for her, but when I reached the bread shop, I realized I forgot carrying my wallet and I had only a few bucks in my pocket.  I tried to talk to the boss of the shop if I can pay by bitcoin, to my surprise, she said YES and finally I paid the cake by bitcoin.  Grin

This is my first time to use BTC as real money buying a real physical goods.

As a bitcoiner, using BTC online is very common.  Have you ever used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods?  plz share your experience.   Wink

Until now not, but i will buy maybe something with bitcoins in upcoming months, tried many times here but unsuccessfully the sellers weren't honest.

14  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: January 23, 2016, 12:07:24 PM
These days i think it's a good investment because the price is cheaper than last week and probably the price will be increased next week.

Regardless of my bitcoin optimitism, I see price will kick back again in the upcoming weeks or months. I consider below $400 as a cheap price and really a cheap price because we can't see another price like this after halving.

#speculation
The bitcoin price nowadays is changing very often and i think that it is a good investment to invest in bitcoin, i don't think it will go cheaper than $300 but will keep increasing probably $500+ at halving.
15  Other / Meta / Re: Ip Tracker in profile settings on: January 23, 2016, 12:05:39 PM
If i have an ip thats logged in from Nigeria then i can be pretty sure its not mine, but yeah different computers etc would be nice as well. i just like to know exactly whats going on in my account.
Imo this shouldn't be needed. As long as you use a strong password, don't put it in any sites other than here and keep your computer malware free there should be no need to worry about who is in your account; there will be no one else. Also, do you think that if someone managed to get into your account they wouldn't just change your details to stop you getting back into it (meaning you couldn't check the IP logs of your account)?
These people(hackers) can also "spy" your account by not changing the password, because if they change their mission will fail. OP i think this feature should be included in the new forum.
16  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why is it theres so few signature campaign offer for newbies? on: January 23, 2016, 11:55:40 AM
from newbie to become jr. member is it takes very little time and posts. it is good time for new member of forum to  familiarize themselves with community
I think it would be crowd of spams, and dead newbie account. this is the best option

Why dead newbie account is the best option. Newbie can also write good quality posts and express their opinion.
Newbies and not consider as newbie in their experience, skills or in any other field, but the rank limits them by not having enough characters in their signature and the availability to have an avatar.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2016 will be a boring year for bitcoin on: January 23, 2016, 11:53:19 AM
The hype has started dying down, USD exchanges are dominated by Chinese onesinvestments are getting back to 2013 levels and the supposedly interesting bitcoin-related projects of 2015 didn't have a positive impact to adoption or the market.

2016 has started not well with lots of pumps and dumps, which means that bitcoin price in 2016 will not be stable, let's hope for a huge pump at halving period.

20  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer SwagSociety.me on: January 21, 2016, 07:51:26 PM
I archived the whole thread including all posts which shows who had the avatar until now 7:35 PM (forum time) https://archive.is/1Hh6U I'm removing it too now

But this is not a good idea now. Because majority of them including me have removed their avatar and since you have archived it now, it will be imprinted with our newer avatar. Which is again going to be a false remark. Undecided

You should have done it long time back. Well I am already having my backup archives where I have the necessary proof of time.
I see that you made few archives so that is good too, i made also one but included all posts on the official topic so we can see all profiles, i know it's a bit late, but better late than never.
