Dana White at the press conference for UFC 300 just responded to a reporter’s request to raise the bonus for fighter of the night by saying OK and asking what to raise it to. After some suggestions he finally said 300! The fighters have to be pumped about that. It’s a 6x increase from the normal bonus. Hope we see something spectacular.
Thats pretty cool, huge payday for the fighters who put up a show, does this mean fewer fights go the distance ? If i heard it before would have tracked how books adjusted the rounds total and GTD odd swings

And I think its about time he started raising the general pay scales too,to stop fighters like ngannou leaving
I would think the opposite would result in adding this increase in payscale for the bonuses. They are determined based on performance and fighters are thinking inorder to get that out do the other and what more than by a stoppage of a bout done by knockout would prove that to Dana White?
I don't know but that would do it for me unless it by bodyslam just like Cody Brundage did to his last opponent.

Everybody thought there was going to be an announcement of what will happen to Conor, during the pre-fight press conference ahead of UFC 300.Just so to clean the air about where he stands. But there was nothing.
Ahead of this over on DraftKings chat there was a leak date of July 28th for his return to the octagon against Chandler. Of course just like Dana White said during this presser, "Don't believe everything on the internet!".

@danherbias07
There was alot of interviews with this guy so it could of been on anyone of them as well.
He seems to be talking himself into this trance but repeating the samething over and over again.
The same thing he was doing during the press conference and the weigh-in face-offs.
Doesn't mean that it will come true.
But today we will see if he will be the one having sweet dreams or will be slept by Poatan.
As Pereira always says after every encounter: "Chama" which I thought meant Let's go!
But it actually means 'flame' or 'Inspiration' in Portuguese.

this week for good luck I wont bet on my beloved Juventus, there are many simple matches I must say

  • Lazio - Salernitana i will bet on Lazio
  • Bologna - Monza i will bet on Bologna
  • Napoli - Frosinone i will bet on Napoli
  • Inter Milan - Cagliari i will bet on Inter Milan
  • Atalanta BC - Hellas Verona FC i will bet on Atalanta BC

Letz try this, what do you think?

Yours seems like a really easy bet
you will certainly have a minimal gain, however you didn't take into account that some of these teams can easily draw
for example
- Atalanta BC - Hellas Verona FC (high risk of draw)
and the Lazio match, a totally inconsistent team

you could win but I think it's tough
Was just about to put an all-in bet on Lazio looking at the table where they are 8th and Salernitana is dead last. But now seeing your sense of Lazio being inconsistent worries me to place all of it since the reward is not that much to place a bet on them.
They might even sit out their starters for this one, so you never know.

No F1 this week so there is their void to find something else to fill for those F1 fans this weekend.

Some were speculating that it would be maxed out to $200k for each bonus paid out to all fighters.
He did say "DONE!" after each question about payout to each fighter so they actually will want to knock their opponents out to get that fighter bonus and even to be eligible for fight of the night.
Yeah, it did seem to planned because he calculated it right on the fly to the total sum he would be paying out in bonuses to all fighters which seemed there will be 4 if my math was correct.

@bbc.reporter
But the fighters who are in UFC prefer to call it HGH.
https://healthgains.com/hormone-therapy/hgh-growth-hormone-therapy/is-hgh-a-steroid

Guess that's why they parted ways with USADA. Brought in their own drug testing organization.
Because Conor looked to be on the same stuff as Paulo Costa.
What does he call it again?

He was also asked in another podcast about Harrison and mentioned he wrestled with her for fun a couple of years ago and he mentions she was the strongest woman he had matched up with during a sparring session.

Yes @danherbias07 agreed!
Now that March is over with and the madness has subsided for another year in College Basketball, we can move on to the big boys in the NBA with the Play-offs coming in full swing.
After the play-ins of course.
Oh yeah, play-in tournament first, the mini-playoff. It's also fun to watch this because it's do or die for the teams who are under the number 8 rank. They must win twice just so they could enter the playoff and I can say all the previous play-in tournaments are enjoyable to watch.

It's near. We only have two games remaining in the NBA Season which is why I am trying to save more money as I know it's going to be expensive once the playoffs start. I'd probably make betbuilders to maximize the bets in each game and profits of course if ever it wins.

It's also probably the best time to bet for the Outrights if some of you have an idea of who will be the champions this season.
Here are the odds for the NBA Winner. Once it goes to the playoffs, the odds could go slimmer especially if your preferred team is winning the 1st round.

https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/usa/nba/outrights
My wild cards are the Pelicans for the West and the Pacers for the East. It's a shoot to the moon but who knows?
There's more if you check the whole page.
Never really liked this play-ins format when it was first announced, I think during covid.
But it is what it is. Miss the regular season then straight to the play-offs.

And yes we still have teams playing their final two games left of the regular season tonight going into the weekend. Seen the play-ins begin April 16-19th so very soon after these matches with a day or two of rest it seems for all teams involved.

Looking at the matches in the NBA tonight this one seems like the most interesting one to place a wager on since they are very close on odds. But I will go with the Pelicans with Zion doing good going into the post season:

But they came back with a defeat of Fluxo in a challengers match for ESL.

Impressive run winning seven matches in a row during this competition before Fluxo finally managed to win one later in the day.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: April 11, 2024, 11:06:21 AM
I notice two things in your method. First one is positive - you stick to your plan and budget. Second one is negative - your greed. Doubling deposit is a lot of money. It is a lot of risk. It is hard to do that. Take any form of investment - nobody offers way to double money. All we get is several percent or a double if it is a long-term investment. Long-term and gambling, that is a high chance of losing due to risk. In fact its complicated to double if you try to do that in one session. Going all-in is risky. Winning lots of time but little either takes lots of time, or one loss crosses out long streak of wins.
I think this is a positive actually.
When it comes to a gambler's mindset, it is good to be prepared and go into a gambling site with a clear plan.
The most important thing is to stick to it and do not evade from this set out plan.
I also think the OP said to double it then move on due to the way the casinos are.
Whenever I have doubled my balance and right after keep saying just a bit more then I will leave, most will tend to lose it all chasing beyond this doubled amount.
Stick to your goals and your should be fine, but once greed sets in and you try to increase those set upon goals usually most fail and get a bankrupt balance.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: April 11, 2024, 10:53:07 AM
It's always nice to ask.
Actually, you gave out a piece of good information too. I didn't know Bitvest is accepting investment and I had never checked their gambling site for a long time, I think ever since @lightlord was on hiatus.
Investment in gambling sites is a good thing. Another site that I know is Yolodice but they are gone now thankfully they did warn all their players and investors to pull their money at the given time span.
That is the key to this. Trust and reputation. Because you are lending your money to them and they are going to use it for their business, there must be an assurance that their business will be long-term.
Is it still a thing right now? With the growing numbers of gamblers, I don't think they need an investor/player anymore. They just need to squeeze that house edge profits to make their company bigger.
I think freebitco.in also has an investment thing. I always receive their e-mail about it but I don't have any balance in my account there. You can check it out if you want. Just press the signature space of any forum member who is wearing it and you will be redirected to their legitimate site. Just for added security so you will avoid phishing.
As soon as someone from way back on here mentions bankroll investments on a gambling site you instantly think of yolodice. There were threads about players journeys into those casino investments.
But I think those have long died now.

Having a site offer a high percent above 5% back on investment is very hard to believe.
Because they are highly unlikely sustainable beyond that if players are depositing 20btc even as a limit.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: April 10, 2024, 11:55:55 PM
^^ All those selections look good but a few I am going against the grain and picking the higher odds which don't necessarily mean they will lose. Since as you have stated is a stacked card with all excellent and talented fighters. So no-holds barred.

Just finished watching the media day interviews and they all gave viewers an insight into each fighter mindset going into this UFC event.
So they were all good even if the reporters all asked the same question of why they thought would win for the main event: Alex or Jamahal?

Didn't bear notice to what the answers were as I had already made up my mind on the fights prior to the media, press conference and weigh-ins.
Which nobody really does but this one was planned weeks ago and have set up my picks for each fight very early.

Have my betslip made for this UFC 300 including all bouts with a huge amount of odds over 558x.

Betslip was too long it didn't show all the selections.
They can be viewed on the share betslip link here provided by Sportsbet.io:

71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: April 10, 2024, 11:47:44 PM
Musk apparently is going after Open AI's CEO for abandoning the company's original goal while it was still a startup.
https://www.reuters.com/legal/elon-musk-sues-openai-ceo-sam-altman-breach-contract-2024-03-01/

Could this due to Elon starting up his own A.I company Grok last year?
(Older post but i had to reply)
Most likely reason is because he is just bitter because he couldn't do his hostile take over with OpenAI.

There's no breach of contract as there is no contract or agreement to be breached. So this seem to be as desperate as his earlier richest man alive sues non profit organization.

I don't know why he makes these, but it seems to be some sort of virtue signaling as he wants to be a savior and accepts no one else saving the world, so he thinks these would make him seem good or cool. Or maybe he just doesn't understand law well enough to see these are pointless. And his lawyers won't advice otherwise as they get paid anyway.

Here's open AI's response with emails from musk included - https://openai.com/blog/openai-elon-musk
I am imagining that is the sole reason why he wanted to buyout all those companies in the first place.
There is probably some sort of name for an individual that is like this but I can't come up with the name at the moment. But the closest thing I can associate this behavior to would be having a god complex.

I am fairly certain Elon Musk has already said publicly that some of Tesla's access cash funds will be invested into Bitcoin rather than sitting in the bank. So from that he is already involved and invested. However, Elon Musk does a lot of things which align to his personal beliefs and interests, not for profit. He doesn't care about making more money or flipping ceyptocurrencies for a short term gain. I think he believes in the technology and capabilities within Bitcoin. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a HODLer with a much larger personal allocation..
Sure he has even reinstated for Tesla to accept bitcoin for purchasing their vehicles once again. Well ever since it has reached a new all time high this year. So why wouldn't they?
He also does things that are politically motivated as well. He had to be since in the state of California they were stopping any progress with him making his cars.

Champions league quarters start in just about 45 mins and for some reason im feeling a draw on both matches  Grin

Dont agree with bayern odds at 4.7  Roll Eyes
City gonna win at home anyways so they might be just comfortable with a draw today.
Nice shout on both matches ending in a draw, I didn't expect Bayern to come out swinging against Arsenal on the road, I had low expectations from them due to their poor form.

I was close to pulling the trigger on Man City's special, then had the same thought on Man City being satisfied with a draw.

They covered the spread and then some so everybody was content with their performance no matter how much over a handicap you had on with a 75-60 score at the end of it all.
The under also covered which has been the trend with UConn's matches.
Was going to go for the UConn win & over 141.5 pts market but glad I didn't because was looking for more on the odds but happy nonetheless on the win. As you probably are aware some individuals put their houses on these college games so they will happily take the 1.32x odds on UConn ML anyday of the week.

What do you see for the Sportsbet.io Special section for today?
There should be something available for the Champion league matches scheduled for later on today.
Haven't had anything available under my tab for months so just stopped looking under them and hoping to see something worth the wait.
Will probably take Barcelona @3.65x to beat PSG as there can't be another set of draws today in UEFA, can there be?

Yes @danherbias07 agreed!

I bet they will make that as an NFT and will be locked away for some time so that it will have value in the future.
That's just great. Posting something just by thinking. Elon Musk can definitely be inspiring a lot of times although I still don't like how he does it when it comes to cryptocurrencies. Cheesy

Not everyday he wins though. Here's what happened recently.

CMC already has an entire section of those memecoins dedicated to Musk such as elondoge.
Many are useless but it tell you just how popular no matter how stupid they are still hold a marketcap in the $100s of $1000s.

Calvin Kattar  vs.  A. Sterling
Holly Holm  vs.  Kayla Harrison
Agree with those two taking the victories as Kayla would be just too huge for an aging Holm to compete with even if she was 10 years younger.
Aljamain still has got a nasty jab even if he lost his belt to Suga Show not too long ago. He was just outclassed but Kattar just doesn't compete with the likes of Sterling.

Right @notblox1 the UFC wants their franchise to compete with the WWE stories they play.
And @cabron wasn't he just doing this to promote his Powerslap show. Didn't they come out at around the same time?

UFC 300 looks like a fully stacked card and know many who are placing bets on all fights and probably will too with a 13 fight huge acca. Wonder what kind of odds that would produce for a good solid win?

For the NCAA tournament, UConn should get it done against Purdue, and i'm thinking of locking in their spread (-6.5) since they're still the team to win it all.
The NCAA Championships Final finished just as was foreseen by just about everyone with a UConn win for their 6th title to tie the record with the likes of North Carolina and pass Duke with their national titles.

What a prediction for both games!
If you did put any money on both ending in draws then you are quite proud of the bets you placed.
Had Real Madrid and Arsenal winning so lost on mine but I would imagine both draw were around 16+ odds.
Some one who I was following their betslip had over 2.5 goals for the ManCity match 1st half and over 1.5 for the Bayern 1st half with a betslip over 18x odds. So they are happy with those results for sure being a high scoring 1st half.

So NBA will be coming back tomorrow.

Any early picks here?

We got plenty of games tomorrow but we don't bet all of them, right?

I'm betting on the Celtics vs Bucks as it seemed like Bucks are losing on purpose, maybe putting a bet like to win more than 26 points as this could be a blowout if the starters will play.

Another bet is on the Miami Heat, they need another win to have a chance to be at the number 6.
That's -3.5 vs the Hawks.
Been waiting for this Denver match and they should be going against the Utah Jazz from what I remember somebody posting on this thread, they had lost their last game. So this might be a good pick to put with the Boston game against the faltering Bucks.
Think I'll be staying away from the Hawks game since there was some thing with Trae Young's finger on the sports ticker last night so he could be a scratch tonight.
