521  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CKPool Monitor - hashrates, workers, rewards and get notifications for CKPool on: January 18, 2016, 02:49:07 AM
Love It.  This really helps me coming over to CKPool from the Great Dashboard of Slush's and even the information provided on Bitminter!

Thanks Zack for doing this!

Thanks Zach!  You have done a great job of supporting the Kano CKPool with your effort!

Thanks, let me know if you have any issues.

Any chance this service could be https?  Don't like passwords and API keys floating around in the clear.

I am working on this. Will most likely be a self-signed certificate.

But for now:
I suggest you use a password that is not used anywhere else.
The API on CKPool is only for getting the data, none of your information can be changed.
If you ever felt you wanted to remove the api key you can go to Kano.is and request a new api key, the old one will be deactivated.

I know a lot of people are worried about security of things, but none of this information can be used for anything malicious (At least not that I know of).

Just a reminder, you use your username and API key as Zach says.
However, don't use the same password in both sites, it's not part of ckpool.

If anyone misses this post and asks a question or makes a comment about CKPool Monitor please kindly direct them to the new thread.

Thanks,
Zach

Kano, thanks for allowing here as long as you have.
524  Economy / Service Announcements / KanoPool Monitor - hashrates, workers, rewards and notifications for KanPool on: January 18, 2016, 02:00:49 AM
Update: For those new here, KanoPool used to be called CKPool hence the website address for the monitor. I have edited the title of this thread and some of the mentioning of CKPool to KanoPool. Hopefully this will clear up some confusion.

KanoPool Monitor

This is a website/application to monitor your mining on Kano KanoPool.
If you are not using Kano KanoPool then switch now!  Grin

KanoPool Monitor has the following features:

- Total Pool Hashrate graphing
- Block finds and average time between blocks on graph
- Your hashrate graphed
- Your individual workers hashrate graphed
- Overall hashrate Reduced notification
- Dropped Worker notification
- Individual Worker reduced hashrate notification
- Rewards tracking (Not automatic yet - see below)

Here are some screenshots (click for larger):

Here is the procedure to register and start tracking:

Step 1 - Mine at Kano KanoPool! (Preferably with a username)

Step 2 - Go to https://ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com and click Register

Step 3 - Fill in your email address and choose a password (Not the one you use on KanoPool!)

Step 4 - Log in!

Step 5 - Get your API Key from Kano KanoPool at https://kano.is

Step 6 - Go to Account Settings

Step 7 - Come back to KanoPool Monitor and fill in your information at a minimum your Kano KanoPool Username and APIkey, then click save.
Your individual worker settings will not be available until you have your username and api key saved and it have been running for about 10 minutes.

Many people like to recieve the notification via text message, if you would like to do that here is a list of email to text for cell phone carriers: http://www.emailtextmessages.com/
Just set it as your secondary email address in the settings and have the notifications sent to that address.

Rewards tracking information is not available through the Kano KanoPool API.
You need to manually enter the data from the rewards page on https://kano.is(Block, Your N Avg (just the numbers), Your BTC) for each block found, don't worry about when you do it, the system tracks the price of BTC when the block is found (all the way back to the first block found at Kano KanoPool)

If you have a lot of past rewards you would like to enter you can have me import them for you:
1. Log into Kano.is and go to your rewards page
2. Select all of the rewards that you have not yet entered
3. Copy into Excel (or similar) and save as a *.csv file
4. email the file to me and I will import it for you.

Eventually I plan on making this more automatic, but for now this will work.

This is a constant work in progress, some things on the To-Do List:
- Bulk Import of Rewards
- Export of Rewards info to a CSV file
- More rewards tracking info
- Clean up the site
- add more options for how the information is displayed
- Option to let the site know you are receiving notification via text and make those smaller (The ones now are a lot of characters)
- Users have option between local time and UTC (Pool Time) on the graphs, etc.
- Update the images on this post to match what the site looks like now.
- Give me ideas!

If you have any problems, questions or suggestions let me know.

Aww man! This starts AFTER I hit a block? Cry

I know! I couldn't believe how close you were!

What are the odds of you hitting 2 in a row? Roll Eyes

Yeah but you are pretty lucky here, you have found 7.   Wink

What's the contest? I missed it.

Go to the first post.
528  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: January 18, 2016, 12:20:12 AM
I bought Batch 1 S7's and yes, buying BTC would have been a better investment. But i had the BTC not the fiat. However:

1. Bitcoin would be worthless if noone "mines it" and processes the transactions. This also applies to the pools mining blocks and including no transactions.

2. I have not had to turn on my furnace yet this year, buying BTC would not keep my house warm. (Last couple of days it has been in the 30's F here and the house @ 75+F with a couple windows partially open.

I hope noone takes this the wrong way. I mostly am trying to make myself feel better about spending 8+ BTC on something selling for 2.4 BTC only 4 months later.

I will most likely be ordering another S7 soon.  Cheesy

Just got confirmation from -ck, it will be in the pool section. I will post a link here when I have it up.

As long as you are not slow submitting shares to the pool!  Tongue

In pool section?

Theres some other guy with a API for antpool, he has it in pool.

I like it here, all things related to Kano in one spot. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks, please PM me, I don't want to fill this thread with this "off-topic" content.

Pool section maybe? -ck?

People are having trouble finding my answers to questions in this thread that is why I would like to start a new one.

The first time I mentioned CKPoolMonitor was on page 47:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg10087361#msg10087361

Now we are on 436, that is alot to filter through.

Green!

Thinking about starting a thread for CKPoolMonitor to keep it all in one spot and remove some clutter here.

Where should I post the thread Bitcoin Software? Or somewhere else. PM me your thoughts.
533  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [11 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG,RU on: January 17, 2016, 02:46:23 PM

You must be using the same worker name for three machines/rentals.

So Kano.is sees all the workers but is combining their information as 1 worker.
534  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [11 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG,RU on: January 17, 2016, 01:11:41 PM
Kano,

What would be the best backup pool for this pool?

That is a personal preference and up to you. Kano has said in the past that he will not suggest one. Most people use a PPS pool or ck.solo
535  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [11 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG,RU on: January 17, 2016, 01:09:27 PM
Hi All

Under worker tab -worker Name-Total 1(3 Miners) ?  Where this 3 miners figure coming from .

Thanks

Any one have any idea ?

Screenshot? Not really sure what you are asking/talking about.
536  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [11 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG,RU on: January 16, 2016, 06:26:08 PM
I know you told me two times, but I do not know if it's feasible, or is normal that I do not see anything on the homepage?
I have to configure something?
it is feasible?
It is not feasible?
unfortunately google translador translates badly and will not let me get this straight

You apparently are mining on the pool using your Bitcoin address, this does not allow you to view speeds, etc.

If you sign up for an account and change your miner setting to mine with your username, then you can see your information.
537  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [11 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG,RU on: January 16, 2016, 06:23:06 PM
Thanks ZACHM. Great tool! Recommend you add a page to the site that outlines what info is provided, such as the alerts and notices, and that provides instructions on how to use the rewards tracker, etc. Could be a very basic page.

It is on my to-do list.
538  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [11 PH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] US,DE,SG,RU on: January 16, 2016, 06:03:24 PM

...

Check out the tool and if you find it helpful for you, don't forget to send Zachm a small token of appreciation for his hard work.

ckpoolmonitor.zachmonroe.com

Agree that this is a great tool and I just started using it. However I have a problem with it never showing my rewards. Don't know if it's a problem with the API key not providing the info and I'm not sure where to ask for help. Is there a topic on the ckpoolmonitor? Or, is this the place to ask?

Here (as long as Kano is OK with it) or the best is to email or PM me.

Rewards need to be entered manually.

tnx

I have another question I asked many times, but I did not understand,
you can see the speed on the homepage kano.is?

https://www.kano.is/index.php

I think Kano has answered several times.
