hey one of my R9 290 rigs has stopped working ,,,,,
im using badman sgminer with 14.6 drivers but after about 2 minutes the miner freezes and then the whole pc freezes,,, there are no "display driver fail" messages and the issue is the same for all algo's and all pools I have run cc cleaner to try to find a pc problem but the miner still freezes ,,, the only thing i have not yet done is reinstall the drivers
can anyone throw any light on this

Edit I have just noticed that when the miner freezes the temp and fan speed jump from 80 degrees 50% to 511 degrees 100% on all cards also when the pc starts it automatically changes to "windows basic display mode"
Please try reducing the clock frequency. |

You are getting closer to my gtx 980 OC numbers using the latest ccminer(sp-mod). Good job.
My 290X is doing 18.33MH/s right now, did a little more tuning. What's your number on the 980? What is the estimated power consumption?, GTX980 can do 20MH/s at 180W. A GTX 980OC pulls around 180W for quark and does 20MHASH.
A 7 card rig does 140MHASH and use 1350W. (The payout per day is the same as a 409MHASH ASIC scrypt miner)
A 7card 750TI rig does 45,5MHASH an use 430W. (The payout per day is the same as a 143MHASH ASIC scrypt miner)
I don't have a meter since I melted my last one. Happened to me twice now; I need another. If yours can do 18MH around 180W, then you save the life of many AMD cards. |

So I have tried to mine neoscrypt and whattomine says I should hash around 400kh/s for my card, what bins or kernels does one need to make this happen or is it an error on whattomines site?
You can use the default .cl in the latest sgminer. The clock speed would be 1100/1500MHz. You need high voltage for the core. So it is unprofitable as energy use is high. |

I noticed in this thread some links to optimized miner by author of "kachur" CryptoNight miner. This kachur shit was a malware/scamware miner exploiting plain stupid duplicate share vulnerability in node-cryptonote-pool. You warned, stay away from all blobs by this "dev". https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.msg9262887#msg9262887Do you also have a proof that this new miner submits duplicate shares? of course it does, besides it switches off the rig power supply to use preinstalled liquid antimatter source, no heat at all, just extreme radiation Too much radiation is bad. 12900/315 = 40KHASH per watt
2 GTX 750ti
13000/100 =130KHASH per watt
NVIDIA cards use 1/3 of the power.
For AMD cards, that is the whole system power consumption. For nVidia, that is the per cards. |
