1801  Economy / Gambling / Re: Lucky Dice on: October 05, 2015, 04:51:46 PM
(How did moneypot even considered investing in this one?).

MoneyPot doesn't invest any any casino, nor do they need permission to use our system. A casino just uses the API and we provide the bankroll (and some other stuff you may want). All promotional stuff (e.g. loss-backs in this case) are provided by the casino, not MP (or its investors) for obvious reasons. Actually, the first time I even saw this site was about 4 minutes ago Tongue

(And yes, the OP should re-consider his promotion. It's so insanely good, that it'll get abused to hell in short order)
1802  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: October 04, 2015, 03:45:59 PM
Well, all the coins are given out! Big thanks to mitchell who organized the whole thing. Next big promo will be when we hit 200,000 btc wagered! (I'll run some bonus-bots again) so stay tuned =)

Edit: Correction: There's still 2 more to go!

Current contests
1.  The first person to bet 1BTC (1,000,000 bits) and have it bust at 0x wins a non-numbered Design 1 coin. (0.990099% chance)
3.  The first person to get half of the max profit (currently 5.26BTC) wins a numbered Design 1 /w Gold coin. (18.494302%)

1 BTC is held by RHavar (Moneypot) in Escrow

Confirming I have the 1 BTC in escrow
1804  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where do I find addresses holding bankroll of different dice site and casino ? on: October 02, 2015, 12:35:41 AM
That is just for solvency proof and moneypot is taking investment as well. Currently investment is around 150 btc and the cold wallet hold 400 btc so you have no worry of being not able to withdraw your investment. I think from 150 btc invested, Ryan own like 2/3 of the amount . The site is still green btw

Actually the current invested amount is 546 BTC, of which 132 BTC is mine. And the current proof of assets address ( 1NinE5MNy64iUE6zBdJ2fJ2tfQrRs2ERpm ) has 750 BTC on it). =)

1806  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: October 01, 2015, 04:09:28 PM
I am confused and want to ask the OP this
if this game is based on social gambling then please elaborate how is it determined when to bust the round? sometimes it just bust at 0.00x sometimes it goes upto 25x..so my question if this is social gambling then how you guys determine when to bust the round or is it just luck based and random?

The "social" aspect, is just that everyone plays on the same game. In many ways it's a bit of a gimmick, but it's also a lot of fun (when you get destroyed, odds are there are many people are sharing your misery) or when someone makes a fortuen, you could've made it too. (Or if you make a killing, everyone else could of too).

But then we added some pvp aspects by rewarding you for cashing out after other people, but before the bust.

However, people playing have absolutely no impact on the results. In short, we generated 10 million outcomes in advance (weeks before anyone was playing) from a provably fair distribution, then we've proven we've committed to it and now, are playing through those games. And after each game, give you the sha256 preimage of the last, to show we're not cheating.

In my (extremely biased) opinion, it's quite a fun and well designed game. The house edge is quite a bit lower than most sites, so your money lasts a while and the bonus system makes it a lot more multi-dimensional than most gambling. If you create an account, PM me your username and I'll send you a few bits to screw around with =)
1807  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: October 01, 2015, 03:16:44 AM
I really love this game and the community around it. I havent tried the forum yet but why do you have to give the correct information. Just use a fake name and address and write it down for later use.

I'm not sure what forum you mean? Some people won some physical prizes, and in order to claim it they need to provide an address to ship it to. Of course, it's completely optional and you're free to ship it to any friend or family you like  (but please don't give fake details, it's just wasteful and creates more work for everyone)

1809  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: September 30, 2015, 04:29:07 PM
I would rather stay anonymous and enjoy the brilliant fun I am having on the site. It's too risky to divulge that much info onto the Net, when you hoarding BTC

Fair point, and yeah I don't give out my address either. Also just for clarification though, I never see peoples shipping address (that information goes directly to Mitchełł), but such is the price of receiving physical goods (also there's no problem with using a reshipper if you like). Or you can send it to friends, family or a random christmas gift. Doesn't have to be to yourself =)
1810  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: September 30, 2015, 12:22:37 AM
If you've been playing here recently (wagered >10 BTC in the last month), there's a pretty awesome deal for the first 10 people to claim it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1194812.msg12558099#msg12558099 (Free silver wallets, you just need to pay shipping)
1811  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Biggest bustabit loser :: Win a gold trim silver wallet! on: September 29, 2015, 10:44:38 PM
As a special: who ever is #2 can have a gold trim silver wallet as well  (subject to availability) as long as they pay for shipping! (To help make the #1 prize a little better than the #2 prize)
1812  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: BetterBets.io presents - The game Changing, Wager WARZ Competition ! on: September 29, 2015, 01:12:55 AM
great post and there is a cap per each address of .750 we mustve forgot to add to the OP. good thing you caught this, coulda been a bad day Smiley i will have arallmuus fix this as soon as he is online.

Ah, this makes sense. With that cap, I can personally guarantee payments =)
1813  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: BetterBets.io presents - The game Changing, Wager WARZ Competition ! on: September 28, 2015, 07:28:13 PM
Great competition, but sorry I should have brought up some stuff earlier:

As escrow, I'm only in control of the gambling addresses, and not going to personally guarantee that every winner gets paid (as it's not parimutuel betting, there's book maker (?) risk) which I don't want to be on the hook for.

Also, just to clarify when ever you change the odds ... everyones previous bets have the old odds locked in? Because presumably when people make a bet, they get their odds locked in (otherwise it wouldn't make sense, as the winning partys odds always trend towards one). So you'll keep a history of that?

And also, there's considerable risk in offering fixed odds. If someone puts 10s of bitcoins on one of the addresses, is this something you're prepared for?

1814  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Bustabit :: Special event! Win Silver Wallets! on: September 28, 2015, 02:03:05 PM
The site admin & the thread's OP (promoter) do expect gamblers to exercise a minimum of intelligence in realizing that trying to win this type of 'contest' is a tremendously negative-EV endeavor, obviously ; As they wouldn't bother running this 'contest' unless it was at great mathematical & psychological advantage to them (house edge, gamblers' fallacy/greed, etc)..

So, enjoy losing more to the game than you won from your 'high position' in the 'LoserBoard', w/ high-risk, low-reward, low-payout* gambling to 'win a loser's contest' xD

*The maxprofit, high cashout contest winning option is an exception to the rest of the 'low-reward high-risk (of insta-bust) modes' - but what makes it a low-worth wager to chance is actually the house max bet limit, which, due to thus not being able to increase bet size much at all when hitting low multipliers, thus resulting in something like this much more easily than the odds of hitting MaxProfit on a bet successfully, before the downfall happens ;p

I don't believe this is the case, if not for the simple reason all these prize-triggers were going to happen anyway. So if you didn't purposely try get it, that's a nice free bitcoin silver wallet for you.

And if you are smart about it, you can make it pretty easy to get the prizes without being -EV. For instance,  busting 1 btc of 0x:  If you bet 1 BTC @ 1x, there's 0 house edge, and only two options: You win the bet (+ possible bonuses) or you lose the bet, but win the contest. So even if you valued the prize at $10, this would be +EV for the gambler. (Note: You may need a 2nd account to bonus snipe people who bonus snipe you).

Really the point of these contests are to have fun, and improve the bustabit community, not a short term money grab. In fact, for the contests to "pay off" they would have to generate about ~1700 BTC worth of extra volume, something i strongly doubt they will nor expect them to.
1815  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit.com -- The Social Gambling Game (formerly moneypot.com) on: September 28, 2015, 04:47:31 AM
Congratulations to Dexon, who's claimed the first bitcoin silver wallet by, cashing out 100k @ a perfect 1.1 cashout.  Still another 3 up for grabs:

1. To the next person to hit the "max profit" (and claim it)
2. Loser competition (https://www.bustabit.com/loserboard) with illustrious holding a (un?)healthy leed
3. First person to lose 1 BTC on a 0x bust

...and more to come!
1816  Economy / Gambling / Re: [New] ★ Casino ★ French Roulette with "La Partage" Rule ★ Quick & Regular Spin on: September 27, 2015, 09:42:01 PM
according to the screenshot jackpotracer sent me i had 1125 bit wagered and i lost 775 bits in the frozen roll http://screencast.com/t/36wcAjBxT9T2

prior to the roll i had over 1800 bits. yes i withdrew the remaining 700 or so bits after the roll froze but i still shoulda had bits left from the 1125bit bet.

im not really worried about the .001 as i told jackpotracer. he can have it. fix the game though.

on a side note this game owner is about as rude as they come. i will not bet on any game he hosts period. good luck jackpotracer and i hope you find a way to be friendlier to your customers before you run them all off

The highest your balance ever was, was 1513 bits. So that means if it showed your balance as 1800 bits it was incorrectly calculating it (probably a client-side bug) and then when you refreshed (after the freeze) it went back to the true value.

Ah, and that explains why it froze. So your true balance was 738 bits, but you bet higher than that (as the UI showed an incorrect overestimate). MoneyPot would have rejected the bet (as it was greater than your true balance) and the UI froze (as it doesn't handle this case?). When you refreshed the page, it looked like you lost money due to the freeze, but in reality it was just resetting to its real value.

So because of the bug, you didn't really lose money, it just looked that way. =) (And yes, jackpotracer could work on his people skills)

1818  Economy / Gambling / Re: [New] ★ Casino ★ French Roulette with "La Partage" Rule ★ Quick & Regular Spin on: September 27, 2015, 06:06:56 PM
i was just playing and had 1050 bits in play. clicked spin and it froze on me. using google chrome to play and win 8 OS. i refreshed and my bits were gone???

The way MoneyPot api works is all bets are atomic, so I'm not sure what happened with the roulette wheel freezing but the bet would have either went through or didn't.  Checking your account, I see you've deposited 262 more bits than you've withdrawn and here are are your bets (all values in bits):

Code:
# bet_id; wager; profit
96829540;15;-11
96830079;35;-25
96830317;35;-20
96830507;35;-15
96830711;35;-35
96831293;81;127
96831898;123;-103
96832242;150;-15
96832787;230;85
96833362;450;-450
96833702;525;175
96834119;700;300
96834673;950;500
96835448;1125;-775

Summing up the profits leads to exactly -262 bits. So it looks like the problems are limited some UI glitches

Dexon has just released an android app for bustabit: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dexontech.bustabit

It's the same as the website, but gives you a nice convenient shortcut on your mobile. As it's a third party app, I'd recommend using 2FA or creating a separate account for it, but I believe it to be rather harmless (it's really just bustabit in a webview) and Dexon has shown to be a trustworthy developer.
