1301  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1000 BTC GIVEAWAY! From your friend rekcahxfb on: August 03, 2016, 06:08:48 PM
BTW if you're actually going to randomly giveaway the money perhaps you should do it in a way people can verify. Something like getting the hash of block 425000, modding it by the amount of posts + 1. Then give the money to person who made that post number (or the next valid post after that)
1302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The houses Kelly Criteria? on: August 03, 2016, 05:56:40 PM
In the case of a two-outcome bet, it's trivial.

From the houses perspective: Get the expected value of the bet, divide by the most amount of money you can make from that bet (the lose outcome from the player perspective). Then multiply that by your bankroll, and that is the most amount of money you should risk.

It's *significantly* more complex for multi-outcome bets (e.g. slot machines, plinko etc.)

As for if most casinos do it, that's a strong no. Most bitcoin casino owners are lacking in the maths department, I'm aware of 5+ casinos misunderstanding the kelly and using it wrongly. I can only think of just-dice.com which actually does everything properly, but it's not even a bitcoin casino Sad

Unix timestamp

Signed messages should be dated.

Oh god. I feel like an idiot. I thought maybe it might be something like the k value from the signature, and could decode your private key.  Couldn't get it to work, but I did try Sad

What's the significance of "1470232659" in your signed message, I spent a while but couldn't figure it out?  Grin

1305  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT: The Downfall of NitrogenSports.EU and Their Scamming Techniques on: August 03, 2016, 05:08:09 AM
Hey, this is Mike again,  I want to apologize again for how this has been handled and will personally become your host and work with you to get this resolved once and for all.  Please either email me at marketing@nitrogensports.eu or add me on skype: ‘nitrogen.affiliates’ and we will get a solution in place that works for you and our security teams.

Look forward to hearing from you soon,
Mike

The OP has shared a lot of details about his account, deposits, addresses, support tickets etc in his evidence he uploaded, which would allow someone to be a convincing imposter. So make sure you verify extremely well when someone adds you on skype or sends you an email...
1306  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT: The Downfall of NitrogenSports.EU and Their Scamming Techniques on: August 02, 2016, 09:32:04 PM
Most trusted ports betting site in bitcoin, and you clowns are bashing nitrogen, after they explained the situation, but OP is too hard headed and hot headed to follow simple instructions.

This  forum is full of morons.

He posted a screenshot showing he couldn't withdraw, after NitrogenSports said he was free to withdraw his entire balance. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, they tell him to open another support ticket and wait a couple days for a response, a process it looks he has already tried and failed at several times.

OP is absolutely too hot-headed, and it's not helping the situation. However if you put yourself in his shoes, he's got hundreds of thousands of dollars on a site which hasn't been letting him withdraw for several days.

For what it's worth, I actually like NitrogenSports. It's the site I've universally recommended people on my site when they are looking for a bitcoin sportsbook, so it really sucks to see them like this. I'm hoping it's just an isolated problem that gets fixed quickly.
1307  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT: The Downfall of NitrogenSports.EU and Their Scamming Techniques on: August 02, 2016, 07:36:17 PM
Leaving negative rep until NitrogenSports sorts this out. If jtp1109 can't withdraw because of dust that isn't confirming, I'm sure you will find the jtp1109 has no problem with it the couple of cents being deducted from his account. Leaving someone in limbo for so long, and taking so long to deal with his support tickets isn't acceptable imo
1308  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT: The Downfall of NitrogenSports.EU and Their Scamming Techniques on: August 02, 2016, 06:31:20 PM
they say I added the "dust deposited" thats bullshit - its NITROGEN's fault that happens

The "dust deposit" is not nitrogen's fault, they're not doing that to your account. There's people on the bitcoin network who spray popular addresses with dust (probably for tracking, or advertising purposes). It is however nitrogen's fault they're blocking withdrawals when it happens, they should handle this more elegantly (like every other site I'm aware of).

According to NitrogenSport's reply you should be able to withdraw now:

At the time of this posting he has been notified via support and his account is open and unlocked and he is welcome to do as he wishes with his account and balance.

Is this not the case? If you're not able to withdraw, can you take a screenshot, and I'll leave their account negative trust until they fix it.
1309  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT: The Downfall of NitrogenSports.EU and Their Scamming Techniques on: August 02, 2016, 05:28:13 PM
Good to see this come to a positive outcome, jtp1109 can you confirm you are able to withdraw your full balance?

Quote
The account being unable to withdraw prior to his credit appears to have been as a result of the unconfirmed micro-deposit on his account. Unconfirmed bitcoin has not yet truly arrived at its destination, and our system cannot, therefore, allow users to withdraw bitcoin that hasn't been confirmed 100% as being in our wallets yet. These micro-deposits did not come from Nitrogen as claimed by the user; we have never, and would never send bitcoin to a user via deposit. For any such credit we use our own internal system. This can be corroborated by the fact that none of the wallet addresses sending these transactions belong to Nitrogen.

It's not really a micro-deposit as much as a bit of automated dust transactions. You realize the user has absolutely no control over this?

Common sense would dictate you don't let someone have hundreds of thousands of dollars (?!) being held up by a few cents. Either comp him a few cents, or just delete it from his account, or not let him withdraw the unconfirmed funds. There's a lot of ways to handle this better than letting your best customer get so desperate he has to create a scam accusation and offer 100 BTC for someone to help him get his money out of your site.

Quote
All in all, this amounts to an unfortunate misunderstanding with a long-time and loyal user.

Maybe, but surely you can see there's some real customer service and policy fails here too.
1310  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com on: August 02, 2016, 05:08:23 PM
Yeah, it is kind of stealing. Imagine if there are hundreds withdrawal request per day, 15k satoshi x 100 = 0.015btc/day stolen from players. It should be not a hard thing to do for a proffesional site like moneypot but seems they do not consider it as an important thing.

What MP is doing is correct, it's just a bit confusing. As a user you only care about the absolute fee you need to pay, but the bitcoin network only cares about how much fees were paid *for the amount of bytes in the transaction*. But as a user of moneypot, you can't control the size of the transaction (which will vary depending on the deposit:withdraw ratio). So what MP (and most sites) do is quote you a flat fee, and you pay that regardless of the transaction size or block pressure. As long as you get your money in a timely fashion, it's pretty irrelevant how much MP itself paid.

(On a side note, one withdraw at bustabit once used 0.018 BTC ( 11 USD at the time) when it caused the majority of the wallet to get sweeped up but the user only paid the flat fee. It wouldn't be fair to charge the user 0.018 BTC for the withdrawal, as it wasn't his decision to sweep up the wallet. And likewise, users really shouldn't complain when they pay more than what the site pays for that individual transaction)
1311  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT: The Downfall of NitrogenSports.EU and Their Scamming Techniques on: August 01, 2016, 11:49:59 PM
I took a look at your provided files, and it superficially checks out. I've crossposted this thread from their main thread, so they can see it and reply.

In the future you might find it more productive to be more diplomatic, being rude never helps (even if they're scamming you).

On a side note, them not letting you withdraw because some dust has been sent to your address is just bizarre, obviously a system mistake/limitation. I find it really strange that they don't take some manual action in a case like this to help out a high roller. At the very least, it's amazing customer service fail

1313  Economy / Gambling / Re: Been gambling too much so invested 80% of bankroll into crypto games on: July 28, 2016, 10:02:46 PM
I think the biggest mistake people make is finding the site they think best and going all in there. If you look at the kelly (it's true use is for investing, actually) you'll see you're far better off to diversify  (there's several other reputable places taking investments like moneypot, bitdice etc. etc.).  And then do yourself a favor and forget about it for a long period of time, so you don't get tempted to gamble.

Disclaimer: I'm not invested anywhere, as I don't trust anyone and most of all not myself (last time I invested in bitdice, I found myself betting like a retard for no reason) Roll Eyes
1314  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betbit.co| Dice game | 0.1% house edge | Referral program | Bonuses that shock! on: July 25, 2016, 05:58:48 PM
Yes there is no difference no difference in betting and the generated number are random. Our core doesn't changes.... I’ll try to explain on example. If you play with 99% win chance, that means that in about 100 games you may lose ~1 time. So because of the bug in the system, this started to work not for 1 player, but all the online players (about 200). So there were players who didn’t lose during 200 bets and players who lost more then they suppose to lose

That explanation doesn't make any sense. Your system should be generating a random number in the range of [0, 10000000) with an equal probability of each outcome. Doing anything different is as far as I'm concerned cheating. (Unless you explicitly and very clearly tell people otherwise)

My guess what happened, based on the freakishly weird streaks I and other players saw, and your explanation of making "1 player lose" -- you configured the system to predict peoples bets and picked a number that would make them lose. Perhaps it was an honest mistake and misunderstanding as you are trying to make people lose "the right amount". I'm guessing two things happened, your system was far too aggressive (it was hard to not notice) and what you also probably what you didn't realize is that it would also make you extremely vulnerable to exploitation yourself (if you were doing that, I could predict that you were going to try make me lose and unexpectedly reverse the bet and increase the wager amount). Because of your "provably predetermine" scheme, you would be forced to honor the bets.

So I guess that would also explain why you reversed it all.

I'm almost inclined to leave negative trust, as I really don't think anyone should be playing on your casino with the way you're running it -- but I'll try assume good intentions.

Here's what I think you should do to remedy it:

   * Switch to a proper provably fair scheme. Go to just-dice.com and steal theirs, it's become an industry standard. It will protect yourself and your players
   * Offer a full refund to all players
   * With your affiliate program, you have a negative house edge. It's not possible to run a legitimate business like that. If this is intentional,
you should be explicit that you have a budget to run your casino at a loss to attract players. Because I'm very inclined to believe you either
aren't realizing this, or hoping to make the difference by cheating players

1315  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betbit.co| Dice game | 0.1% house edge | Referral program | Bonuses that shock! on: July 25, 2016, 12:34:43 AM
I call rigged on this one.
Tried running autobet on 99% chance and did about 50 bets. I got 2xloss, win, 4xloss, win, 2xloss, win, 3xloss...
Might be possible ... but after only this amount of bets Huh

I noticed the same from my toying around, and if I was a superstitious man I'd suspect foul play.  If I had the energy (which I don't), I'd write a bot that checks the provably predetermined for comital and randomize between a ~98% chance of doing a 99% chance low bet, and a ~2% chance of a 1% chance high. That way if they try cheat, they'll end up getting raped. And since it's +EV you're guaranteed to make a profit over enough time, although I highly doubt they'd cash you out Tongue
1316  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betbit.co| Dice game | 0.1% house edge | Referral program | Bonuses that shock! on: July 24, 2016, 11:42:25 PM
Today's update comes with a mistake, I believe. I tried betting at 99% chance to win, and was shocked to see that it is at a 1.01x multiplier

That means it is a 0 house edge for the player, and with the free 5000 satoshi every 0.05BTC wagered promotion, it becomes positive EV for the player, which you should almost never have in a gambling game. I'm guessing that it is because of a rounding error in your script.

Another question - How is the "Random" selected for auto betting? You could easily rig it to make it more likely to pick the losing one, creating a higher house edge for the player.

Nice observations DarkStar_.

I can confirm what you said, and they're definitely running the casino at -EV (assuming it's not rigged). Their house edge is -0.1%. Add to it the affiliate program (where they can lose up to another 0.09%), and they're going to be bleeding money.

And you're also spot-on about their provably fair. It's not really provably fair, but rather "provably predetermined" and a bitch to check (making sure no one will ever). At the very least they should be using a client-seed which they don't control, but even better would to use the just-dice style nonce scheme (which seems to be a standard now)

Are people starting to fully understand what is going on in regards to 2 of our 3 negative trusts that remain own or are deeply involved in direct online competitive casinos and at least two of the other negative trust reviews are owned by the same person...

Wow, it's really pretty slimy to smear others to get our of your mess. I assume you're talking about Dooglus and his ownership of just-dice, but we both know his trust feedback to you has absolutely nothing to him being a competitor, but rather his concern for players. He runs an old-school toycoin casino, that doesn't even take bitcoin or offer anything but dice. It's hard to call that a "direct competitor", and we know both know very well that your business has absolutely zero impact on his.

Honestly I think you owe him an apology for this, and your other insinuating remarks.
1318  Economy / Gambling / Re: Hey people! We redesign our game and now we need some critics :) on: July 22, 2016, 03:30:22 PM
NEW! Every time player wager 0.05btc he receives 5000 satoshis

5000 satoshis = 0.00005 BTC.  But your expected return on someone wagering 0.05 BTC is 0.00005, so you're running with no house edge, but offering affiliate programs and other bonuses?

We'll consider adding that along with a few other measures

You also might want to look at what bustabit does. It's the only thing I've found that actually stop users getting hacked. Of course, users absolutely hate it but I'm pretty sure the only people who complain about auto-generated passwords are the same users who don't use password manager, who are the same users who re-use password, who are the same users who get hacked  Grin
