I can only speculate, however it is possible that uchi saw that the domain was about to expire and saved the script and/or uchi used an archive of the website.
Ok so here's the story.
I originally created passphrase.io.
I sold the domain and license to use my script to devthedev.
A few weeks before the domain expired, I warned dev on two separate occasions that he needed to renew. Once via email and once via PM. I even offered to buy it back from him, but he ignored.
He allowed the domain to expire, and I bought it back.
Also, I think devthdev mentioned somewhere that he did buy the domain+hosting from someone else Well there you go. Devthedev probably didn't even realize that the domain was (about to) expire. he missed Unchi PM and email, as well as email from registrar |

Did someone forget to renew their domain?  Think that might be the explanation. The whois record was last updated on Feb 29, 2016, which would point to the domain expiring and then Unchi quickly grabbing it. the question is what about hosted script on this domain name |

There are a couple explanations...
-devthedev actually sold the domain + scripts to Unchi
-the domain expired and Unchi regged it
-devthedev was hacked
-some sort of deal between devthedev and Unchi that went sour
-...
Maybe it's wise to just wait untill both parties had a chance to give an explanation before jumping to conclusions.
- if devthedev sold the domain and script then why he bumped the topic today to sale it - if domain expired and unchi regged then what about hosting same script - there is no hack report for his account - if there was any deal then they must have some proofs of it |

2.5 seems a petty amount for him to scam. At any rate , I've let Blazed know so that he may reconsider removing devthedev from DT until a public explanation from devthedev is posted.

Even though he admits to selling and buyer forgot password. Sounds like buyer would be one needing to prove ownership. This is one of reasons I tell people not to buy/sell accounts. This sounds like buyers needs to prove ownership and seller would have no rights after selling.

hacked account story is getting common nowdays,I have seen few accounts sold and used for collateral being claimed by others
in your case seems like hacker was using the account and he given you signed message (not too long but its proof that account was being used by hacker)
so if whitephantom1980 is real owner of that account then he is responsible for this, why he didn't noticed his account was being used but he popup after he took loan.If account was given for collateral and guy claiming for the account isn't able to sign message then lender have full rights of the account what to do if loan is defaulted.he can't forced to give it to random guy.
few guys saying account should returned if the guy pay him 0.05
there are many accounts defaulted small loans, I can pay their loans if lenders give me these higher accounts.
I think loan's deadline is today so lets see what happens, repay or default
