862  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Coinchat - chat community integrated with bitcoin on: December 09, 2014, 12:05:29 PM
You can see how many have been posted in the rooms you have open but are not in and they have a red band when you have been mentioned. There isn't a count for when you have been offline because it is a real time chat room unlike facebook.

I meant on tab, before 'Coinchat' name. Smiley

   ~~MZ~~

They already do that, though only for messages directed to you,

for example when they address me, or PM me,
the amount of messages show up in the tab Smiley

Hello, I am a php bitcoin programmer, I have made dice scripts, wheel of fortune scripts, and custom jobs for people before, but I need someone to help develop blackjack with me, and market other scripts for a commission.
Our primary method of contact would be over skype, or email (I would prefer skype).
williamj2543@gmail.com is my email address
williamj2543 is my skype username

I'd love to broker some scripts for you Smiley
I'll keep in contact through email Smiley

871  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do Escrows work and How to Escrow on: December 08, 2014, 07:09:52 AM
Hello, I've seen many people requiring an escrow..
So far from what I've observed escrows are middle men who keep the other party's barter
until the other one fulfills the deal.

I'd like to become an escrow some day but what are the requirements
and how long would it take to be a good escrow?

and if you can earn from escrow-ing?

Here is a list of escrow, if u r looking for one => https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0

I'm not looking for an escrow, but I'm interested in becoming one,
some day Smiley

Why are you interested in becoming an escrow one day? The majority of the time people who set out to want to be an escrow do it for all the wrong reasons. You need to become incredibly trusted over time and you do that by doing trades yourself and being an active member of the community. In my opinion the minimum rank you should be before offering such services is a Senior Member but even that only takes eight months to achieve so I'd say a Hero Member ideally, but you must also be very active and trusted with money and have done many successful trades too. You can make a little money from escrowing but it's usually only tiny amounts or for tips and there's plenty of free escrows who've been doing it a long time so not sure why people would pay to use a newer one. It's not really a viable business and is done more so to help the community and get the occasional tip for your service.

Oh I see.
Well, maybe I'll do it as a free service too one day, so I can help out with the scammer issues here.
Thanks for the feedback and advice guys! Appreciate it
