Noob question but if your GC does go bad for some reason, would Amazon make your balance go negative? yes, it could be days, weeks or months months later and they could charge you back to any payment method that is on your account if they discover the cards were obtaining fraudulently. |

Could there be an legal implications of this ? Or at the most they would just reject the card and ask us to use another mode of payment ? I am actually interested in trying one of these cards out. Also do these work online ? I have 10 dollars on a safe card, and the rest on all seperate cards. Never have it all one 1 card, because if that one gets closed, you will lose it all.
Assuming that I load one of these cards onto a mobile app. Would it also affect other cards I have on the same app ? " they will just shut down that one card, however if it happens too many times they will shut down your account. read their account terms and conditions. i have had a few cards rejected in store over the last year or so (have bought & used dozens). the worst one was my first one over a year ago. i lost over $200 of "real" money, i stupidly merged it into my gold card and boom .... all gone. i had bought that card off ebay not here. also had cards go bad bought from raise.com, happened both to dunkin donuts and sbx from raise. also bought physical cards with egifts then tranferred that to a 3rd card ..... boom, shut down. they can easily track them. over the long haul i am way ahead. i have some unused cards from here going back almost a year. its a crapshoot. but despite what any seller claims the chances are 99% these cards are obtained from "questionable sources." since there is no way to buy "real" sbx cards at a discount of more than maybe 5%-10% at a place like lowes or target or whatever (not even sbx employees get a discount on gc's) how can a so called "legit seller" sell one for $15,$20,$30 or whatever for $100. i guess maybe someone can buy a card from a store with a stolen credit card or a hacked gift card so tecnnicaly the card is legit but not how it was obtained. |

So assumption being all Starbucks gift cards on here are illegal? Be clear what you are selling since that is not the case, some are legitimate..
All starbucks cards sold here are not 100% carded cards and I've myself sold a legitimate starbucks gift card and even I sell legitimate Amazon gift cards which have no chance of expiring ever. It's sad to see even senior members selling illegal stuff and there are very less chances of you getting legitimate gift cards in exchange.
As a semi-regular buyer of gift cards on this forum, I have to say that the assumption is always that these cards may not be legitimate, hence the considerable markdown. It's a risk/reward analysis that buyers have to do. And sellers ought to know that they are therefore in a buyer's market because of the venue we are in. finally someone who speak the truth! yup, win some lose some. can't be risk averse! |

if u have a sbx account put in $50 and send 10 $5 egifts to yourself or any other email address you have. Or if you have no account create an account online and do the same thing. Then transfer the 10 x $5 you loaded back to your account and you are left with 10 not physical empty "e-gift cards" but they are the same as reg cards If you need physical cards convert the egifts u sent yourself to physical cards at any store and transfer the money back to your account. You now have 10 empty physical cards.

They are digital gift cards only, not real. And no one can prove it, not possible, but it's legit.
thats what u and 100 other seller have said. the ONLY way to obtain "legit" cards is from starbucks and they dont even give discounts to their employees on gift cards. not saying they wont work to buy stuff, but "legit", no chance they are "legit." i think if all sellers stopped proclaiming "legit" and looking foolish they have a better chance to sell some. you're right my special tipp! do not release escrow before your goods have been shipped out on amazon!  most of these cards are involved with fraud. waiting for shipping doesn't always help. amazon can (and will) charge you back many weeks after delivery if card u used is found to be bad. u need to hold escrow for like 6 weeks before being somewhat sure but even then it's not 100%. |
