1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: share the source on: May 11, 2019, 10:29:49 PM
I participated in airdrop & bounty from October 2018 to this 5/2019. My income is only about 3 ETH. Very depressed.
What about you ? Do you have a reputable airdrop & bounty source? Tell me please!

Honestly, from July 2018 to February 2019, I was not very active in participating in bounty or airdrop, I knew at that time the market was bad so I preferred to relax and enjoy the results of my previous hard work.

haha, often people want a reputable airdrop and bounty source, even though finding the airdrop and bounty source is clear through the section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0, the rest use the ability to analyze each project and get what most appropriate
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 2 altcoins to invest in NOW. on: May 11, 2019, 10:11:29 PM
If I was told to choose the 2 best altcoins to buy, I would rather choose ETH and Litecoin, because the two coins have the same project and the owner is equally good and of course it will have an impact on the future of the coin.
I would rather choose those owner or inventor that is anonymous, and that is bitcoin.
BTC has been here first if I'm not mistaken and still progressive right now, we are talking of the top 2 coins here, how can we forget including BTC?
For me, to give some more space on my portfolio,  I would not limit on top 2 only.

Bitcoin is indeed very good to buy now, but the problem is the price is already high. So bitcoin is quite difficult to get high profits, therefore I prefer altcoin because the price is affordable and affordable.

XRP, BCH and ETH. I think the three coins are suitable and potentially if purchased now. The price is still relatively cheap with the condition of the market starting to improve now, so don't miss this golden opportunity before you regret it.
1383  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance #safu fund on: May 11, 2019, 09:58:58 PM

Does anyone know if Binance can take care  of the 7,000 + lost btc by themselves, or are they going to need help from Justin Son. Also I heard somewhere that there #safu fund is in bnb. Can anyone confirm this?

It was already confirmed by CZ himself in this tweet that everything will be covered under SAFU.

https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1125956811574484993

I don't know about Justin Sun trying to bail them out though. Binance has tons of reserved money to reimburse those who have lost their money in the hacked. They will just have to wait for the official announcement.

really, I think binance has prepared a solution for the possibilities that will occur, the statement can be seen in the tweet.
https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1126469393204924416

Binance is so calm about dealing with this hacking problem, in my opinion they have been prepared in advance to deal with this problem. salute them, hopefully no user is harmed there.
1384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do ETH and LTC catch up to BTC? on: May 11, 2019, 02:16:51 PM
I'm consistently putting small amounts into ETH and LTC as a kind of emergency fund that likes to grow.  When, exactly, do you guys think that the recent surge in BTC will result in a "catch up" surge in ETH and LTC?

Yes, but usually bitcoin has to wait for correction after bitcoin rises, only after that altcoin starts to soar after bitcoin.

I do, but it looks like you are a new adopters of crypto right? have you seen the old chart and that should be 2017 chart and the price of anyother coins will grow after bitcoin has down with its pump. Price of ethereum and litecoin will follow the surge that happens on the bitcoin price after it has stopped.
This pattern was repeating so many times and it's so easy to know where will be the direction of crypto.

That's right bro, like when this happened. Yesterday bitcoin went up but altcoins tend to run where there is no movement, but when bitcoin corrects, that's when altcoin starts chasing bitcoin like today.

Happy trading for today, today is so beautiful when you see the green market haha
1385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how do you choose Altcoin .. ?? on: May 11, 2019, 02:08:41 PM
How do you choose Altcoin...??!
And how do you choose a bounty project ... ??!
Please give me your opinion, because your opinion will be very useful for me who is still as a beginner ..
You should learn and read all the information on the project site, Whitepaper, ICO rating, team. I often choose projects through the evaluation of the ice bench community. I choose Bounty work in the way that I choose Altcoins.
Right, even pick bounty campaign, we must think like investor. After read in this forum, i got this strategy. But maybe some of them not really fit on us in supply of bounty rewards. Sometime i pick only if the signature campaign has the biggest reward than another campaign.  Grin

See don't consider the amount allocated to the signature campaign because they might scam us after raising money. So we should bother about the company and their credibility because without development even if we get more than 1,000,000 coins it is completely useless.

Indeed there is nothing wrong with what you say, but it needs to be underlined the website, whitepaper, ico rating, and the team in my opinion still cannot determine whether the project will be successful.
Often I encounter projects that match the criteria above, but the results are annoying.

But I recently discovered that the average successful project is a project that has the criteria above (it is certain) + has a strong partner or a very large partner.

Well for the bounty, just like the above method, of course, what to look for is a potential project first, then after that we research the bounty program that the project is running. If you are looking for bounty allocation, it is important, but you have to set a minimum allocation to look for a bounty project.
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEOs drop in value is no threat on: May 11, 2019, 11:31:47 AM
It all looks like that the rush of an IEO has reduced. I am still trying to find out what happened why people started loosing interests on IEO, does it mean that the projects launched on IEOs gives no profit?

Not because it does not provide profits, but as said earlier that investors tend to think by joining their IEO they can generate quick profits. Even though IEO is almost the same as ICO, projects that join in need time to develop their projects, not as fast as buying low prices and selling at high prices.
1387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to choose Kucoin ??? on: May 11, 2019, 11:07:50 AM
As Binance failed to prove it is safest exchange also there is less features compare to Kucoin . Kucoin gives revenue sharing for KCS token in exchange more over its also having IEO and other option compare to Binance Kucoin giving more option . What you guys think about binance alternative??
Kucoin is one of the reputed exchanges nowadays. I have been using it for a year now and didnt encounter any problem. So if you're looking for an alternative then you can consider choosing it.

The hacking incident that happened in binance proves that even the reputed exchanges are not really safe despite of their high securities (although all went well because they refill the amount hacked). It would be better to put only your coins to an exchange if you're ready to trade it.

I agree with your statement, if you look at the reputation of the coin, Kucoin has a very good security system and this spoils the user in trading.

When binance experienced a shock, I took the opportunity to attract binance traders to move to Kucoin. And I now hope Kucoin becomes the best and safest exchange.
1388  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Binance Terhack dan kehilangan 7rb Bitcoin on: May 11, 2019, 10:09:58 AM
~
menurut binance kejadian ini terjadi karena hacker mendapatkan API keys/2FA dan info lainnya dari akun yang ada di binance

Hackers were able to obtain a large number of user API keys, 2FA codes, and potentially other info. The hackers used a variety of techniques, including phishing, viruses and other attacks

Mohon maaf sebelumnya saya hanya ingin meluruskan statement OP.

tapi ya gan kok aneh banget gituloh, website besar seperti binance masih bisa diserang melalui virus ataupun si hacker mengcrack API. Kalo keteledoran user dalam menjaga privasi akunnya mungkin masih masuk akal, tapi kalo udah yang teledor dari sistem binancenya, ini yang bikin takut orang-orang buat trading disana.

Padahal sudah diingatkan:

Centralized exchange like binance or any other major exchange will be prone to attack.
Puting all your coins in the exchanges is a bad idea. They are vulnerable to attack and often fails to protect users' coin. Thus, the best practice is to save your coin in your wallet and use blockfolio or other apps, then input the number of coins manually.

1389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN THE ONLY KING, NO DISPUTE on: May 11, 2019, 09:42:22 AM
Bitcoincash (BCH) and bitcoinSatoshiVision (BSV) are coins that failed on the market and BCH and BSV investors must be willing to lose it. because maybe they were hoping  to beat Bitcoin but as we have seen right now, Bitcoin is still firm on its throne. Bitcoin will keep to always remain king and I don't care about Bitcoincash (BCH) and bitcoinSatoshiVision (BSV) because Bitcoin it is a part of my life. Wink

Bitcoin is indeed the only king in the crypto market, but we cannot assume that BCH is a failed coin. Why? look at me at Coinmarketcap, BCH is able to enter into the top 5 coins (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin-cash/).
Once again I say, bitcoin is indeed the only king, but we can't also mention the others are failing.

You won't get paid at your personal BTC address and hence you need to provide your Stake username to get paid. You can then withdraw your earned BTC to your personal address at a minimal fee.

Oh thank you for reminding me. I changed it.

1393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Give me a coin that will easily go 3x on: April 22, 2019, 04:35:21 PM
to find out a coin that is going 10x is really hard, lets be realist.
But 2x - 3x is far more easy, any thoughts?  Roll Eyes

In my opinion the altcoin average is the same, even all altcoins can be 3x. They only need bitcoin to be pumped, then other altcoins will increase. 3x is an easy matter if bitcoin really is like last year where the price touched $ 19,000.
1394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid money on: April 22, 2019, 04:17:11 PM
A minor fall of BTC and stupid money goes panic selling.

Get it into your head:
-unless you have a really really really large investment in  BTC, BTC won't bring you as much profit as the best alts that have not already been too pumped up will
-BTC is not end all of all crypto. It is important but crypto does not depend on it
-crypto will not die, it will grow much much much bigger so stop panicing!
-if you chose good alts, you have nothing to panic for! If you don't trust you chose good alts, you shouldn't have invested in the firyt place
-buy BTC with FIAT!

Is it a minor fall?

I completely agree with your first topic as much as you invest in BTC you will lot of profit. Yes these panic sellers and big whales have already bombarded the market with continuous manipulation done. People get scared very quickly if the price goes down they need to understand as this is not the end. Just believe in cryptocurrency it will change the way of living.

People will be afraid when the market goes down even though it's a little, so what we need is cryptographic education where they will be taught how to manage mentally while trading. I am sure those who are panicking still do not know crypto, they just join without learning it.
1395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should there be a time limit for coin swap? on: April 22, 2019, 04:02:13 PM
Should there really be a time limit for coin swap tbh?
Its kinda funny there when i look at some project whom initiate swap

There's still few thing that Crypto are kinda weak when we comes to real world investment
I personally notice quite a number of case where user are left with bunch of useless coins because they didn't swap before a specific timeline.
This wouldn't happen if you buy stocks from stock market, buy commodities contract and etc
If you buy ABC, no matter if they transfer or convert their name to CDE and whatever, you do get back the amount you spent or the stocks that you actually hold.

I even notice there's certain swaps where it only available for 1 month
They expect everyone browse social forums, look at social media and etc
Hence, kindly share your point of view here
That's unfair and i have ever experienced it. I missed the first phase of the token swap and i just got 0.5x from my initial investment while those have participated in the first place got up to 2x. this looks unfair but basically, all of the token holders already listed in the blockchain and it's easy to track them all. To give a time limit for token swap is a non sense idea.

But usually the developer will tolerate when the time limit has expired, indeed this is not fair. I have experienced it like you, I can't monitor it every day and I miss it until the time limit is up. Then my step is to contact the developer to ask for tolerance and the average developer will listen to it, but that depends.
So do not be careless, always monitor, it is not entirely wrong from the rules they make but we are wrong too.
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the best coin or token or anything to invest in now using ETH? on: April 22, 2019, 03:47:02 PM
Hi,

Let's say I have some ETH and I want to hedge my portfolio.

What would be some promising coins, tokens or anything really to invest in at the moment? (Please note: No fiat, shares, bonds, forex or similar legacy products, not interested in that. Crypto projects only).

You can also pitch your own project in this thread, IF you are quite sure you will be profitable this year.

Looking primarily for between 20-100 percent yearly return on investment.

You can also call me on Telegram if you want to pitch something privately. PM for Telegram details.

Bmeet

It's better to remain in a safe zone, namely bitcoin, monero, ripple, stellar, in my opinion, these coins are quite tough in the face of the market. Ethereum is now starting to weaken, even when bitcoin went up yesterday the price didn't go up far. So it's quite difficult for ethereum to develop now. I suggest moving your ETH to the coin I mentioned above.
1397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can you reverse or cancel a bitcoin transaction? on: April 22, 2019, 03:39:18 PM

It is not possible to cancel the transaction that has been done, unless you enter a fee that is less then your transaction is automatically canceled and asked for a larger fee.
Or you can use the trick given by mocacinno, as follows

However, there are a couple "tricks" you can pull while a transaction is UNCONFIRMED.

For example, you can create a (very) low-fee transaction, and broadcast it to as little nodes as humanly possible. Then, create a new transaction, using the same unspent outputs as input but funding a completely different address as the first transaction. You can create this secondary transaction with a much higher fee and broadcast it to as many nodes as possible.
If you do this, there is a decent chance a miner will put the second transaction into the block he's currently working on instead of the first one. And once one of those transactions ends up in a valid, broadcasted block that's been added to the blockchain, the other transaction is automatically "voided". It's using unspent outputs that are no longer in the UTXO set, so the unconfirmed tx becomes invalid.

If you're setting up a service, it's always a good idear to wait for at least 1 confirmation before sending goods or services. For expensive products, you might even chose to wait 3+ confirmations ( 6+ for the really paranoid shop owners). Once a transaction has a couple of confirmations, there is no way of cancelling or reversing it.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium 1000 $ is a dream to everyone ! on: April 22, 2019, 03:23:40 PM
Last year eth also dipped to around 200 before it took off and hit 1400, it is highly volatile crypto market where we cannot predict what will happen when, as a supporter and member of crypro community im positive that eth has a lot of potential for growth and it will recover fully in next few months.
I'm sure ethereum will go up, but the taste is quite difficult for ethereum to thrive as it once did. Whereas now Monero and Ripple have been able to defeat ethereum. Ethereum now survives because the ERC20 token without it might have become shitcoin yesterday.
Even ethereum does not have a limit supply, this is one of the difficult factors to return to.
1399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins useless? on: April 22, 2019, 03:15:59 PM
Now days we have more than 1 000 altcoins on the market. The question is, are people really using them? Frankly speaking only bitcoin, ethereum and monero are used for P2P payments. All others are used mainly for speculation purposes. Is it worth buying altcoins now days? I guess no, because all of them excluding tether are following bitcoin price chart.  I mean if bitcoin is going up or down, altcoins are doing same. (Tether is connected to US dollar rate and used mainly for arbitrage trading purposes) So do we really need altcoins? Regarding platforms, only ethereum is mainly used, and mostly for creating ERC tokens. All others, like waves, neo, etc are used very rarely. Monero is used mosly for shady deals because it is untraceable. (I doubt about that, because one dude who opened a shop on a dark web for selling drugs was cached by police last week. For communication he used 3 level protected VPN and was accepting payments only in monero) https://www.wired.com/story/monero-privacy/ You can read about dark web here. https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/internet/dark-web-3593569/ days. The main question is: Do we really need altcoins? Or Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero are enough for crypto comunity this days?

In my opinion, every altcoin has its own features, monero has its own special features, neo has its own, etc. All are unique altcoins.
Moreover, altcoin developers always hold hardforks to improve their coin features, and of course they will continue to grow and increase. There's nothing wrong with the altcoin, what's wrong is shitcoin.
1400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wow! Exchanges track how you spend btc! on: April 22, 2019, 02:42:01 PM
Apparently this guy sent it to multiple different wallets before gambling with it, but coinmama found out and has banned him

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/bdr9nw/coinmama_is_a_nosey_bitch_tracking_your_coin/

Makes me wonder if Monero or some other privacy coin is the future. I realize he can go to an atm, buy from local bitcoin etc, but a lot of people don't have access to ATMs or don't feel comfortable with P2P. Anyway, what do you think about this? Privacy coins are the way to go, or are their privacy features just waiting to be unravelled?
This is the importance of reading Tos before using a service. Sometimes we immediately approve Tos without reading it, even though when we approve Tos it means we have to obey all the rules that exist in the service. And here coinmama is not wrong in terms of privacy, they have previously notified via high-fives, all depends on the user
