1121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Stop Loss Mistakes To Avoid on: July 12, 2019, 12:00:30 PM
I think stop loss is just for short term traders, especially day traders, because there is nothing to apply stop loss to when you are a long term trader, there is no loss unless you decide to sell off the holding, and this is why I prefer to just be an holder, I invest, and then hold till I see substantial profit that is satisfactory in my investment before pulling out my profit

I see your point and can't say I disagree with it

But still, even if you are a die-hard holder and go for a long ride, are you going to keep the coin of your choice in case you feel like it is going to bite the dust and fail you at the end of the day? A rational decision would be to get rid of it as soon as possible, and as I'm inclined to think, that would pretty much count as a "generic" stop-loss. It is the same force and motivation which are driving both short-term traders and long-term holders alike when they close their losing positions, i.e. to prevent loss accumulation

I agree with your opinion, long-term traders actually have to put a stop loss like a daily trader too. This is not my suggestion, but this is a good trading procedure, when a long-term trader holds the coin, they cannot assume that the coin will continue to rise, sometimes we cannot predict when the coin will become dust.

Installing a stop loss will not hurt, this is only to reduce the risk of holding a long term, it's just that we install the point at a low probability. Then install a notification on the e-mail, if it passes a stop loss. I think it is a good strategy and reduces risk.
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let me introduce "Ending Game" on: July 12, 2019, 11:31:27 AM
The game is quite interesting but the main problem is that you can never guess that accurately, you're not using magic so how can you guess what they are going to play. Even if they bring this to online casinos I don't think most of the people who gambles online would be interested in it (of course I said most people because I know for sure that there are going to be a few that will be interested in it) some people might just decide to play it for fun and see if they can be very lucky to get a win. But I can't play this kind of game where you expect me to guess exactly what a match is going to be, nah I can't do that kind of thing.
Yeah in my place as well there are so many people who like to play only cricket because it is the most played game in my country, when you have good knowledge about the cricket it will help you earn more income by better for the winning team, but I don’t consider it as lottery because in lottery you will totally dependent on luck but gambling is about experience and skills of betting.

Basically gambling is unpredictable, but people will definitely prefer gambling games that have strategies and predictions to win them. The OP game is really very good and I just found out that there are games like this. But I have never seen a gambling platform that launches games like this, I hope that in the future someone will launch it and let's see how much interest people have in this game.
1123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is way down today on: July 12, 2019, 11:12:52 AM
Do you know how to protect your cryptocurrency from whale ‘rinse and repeat’ trades?

Without that "rinse and repeat" trades you are pointing, you won't enjoy the current price we are today. That's the source of the strong foundation and we need that dips on the way. A continuous price rise without slowing down is way more alarming and might wreck you at the end.

Anyways, Welcome to Crypto World!

Sometimes whales also have to take profit on their targets, so today it goes down. And I agree that the continued upward movement of the market is very worrying because it is an unnatural pattern on the market. Certainly in such a pattern there is a secret behind it, and today in my opinion bitcoin is still in a fair pattern.

Correction is normal, maybe the OP must see the history of the previous bitcoin and then make a thread. The pope is inevitable because the pope will continue to exist in this market, the right step is to become a remora, and be patient to grow into a whale.
1124  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you compare before joining any Crypto broker? on: July 12, 2019, 10:40:57 AM
There's no better alternative than to get your feet wet by yourself. I usually go by public reviews left by people on review platforms like Trustpilot etc - they tend to be more accurate than any broker comparing website / tool. My experience tells me they always upsell & promote stuff and mislead people.

yea, that could be a consideration for me. Everyone's review of a platform / broker is an added value in analyzing a broker. Although I myself rarely use brokers to trade crypto.

Just use it to see the information about a broker that is reviewed. The accuracy of their reviews is still questionable, because they also don't focus on reviewing one broker, but there are hundreds of real brokers who don't know which one is trusted.
1125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A real decentralized exchange on: July 12, 2019, 10:20:41 AM
Don't worry when people will be tired of KYC, hacks, exist scams, taxes, they will jump on using the DEX. Too bad currently they have a very low volume. Bisq is the type of DEX I'm interested in but thinking about it what about Binance, it was supposed to create a DEX, people were praising it but no more. Is the Dex alive now?

yea, I think it's still alive, it's just that dex needs encouragement to develop. So far the top exchange that has DEX is only binance, but unfortunately it is not fully DEX. Now I hope there will be a top exchange that launches full DEX. For that, let's look at the next development ...

the average DEX has a low volume, now this is the question. Why did this happen? even though it's a matter of security I'm sure DEX has better security than CCE. This will be the next homework for anyone who will develop DEX.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destitute on: July 12, 2019, 07:09:38 AM
Yes, gambling can make man destitute at any time. Gambling is just for fun only. Gambling is not a way to make money. I know many people play gambling to earn money. But it should not be done at all. Gambling will have to play for fun. Humor pressure can never be taken if you lose in gambling. Remember gambling is just a simple game that is fun to play. Never invest more money in gambling. If you invest a lot more in gambling then you can be destitute.

Thank you

Gambling is a very big business for some people and to others fun! It can makes you to become very rich or poor and it all depend on your luck. I know many people that the source of there wealth today is gambling and they have make it big that it will be very difficult for them to become poor again. We also have story of those that commit suicide because of gambling.

yea, this is only a matter of everyone's perspective. Sometimes someone has a different perspective from us, maybe gambling can be a business for you, or maybe gambling can be a fun game for the OP. And I myself think gambling is both, where we can play and do business, isn't this really fun. But keep in mind gambling with emotions can make you poor, so why do I think this is a game? yea, because doing business requires conditions that are like playing.

1127  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't FOMO in if you don't have what it takes - PATIENCE! on: July 12, 2019, 06:40:16 AM
Buy high, sell low. It's the sucker's way! Wink

FOMO'ing and panic selling is an inevitable part of the journey for any trader or investor. Understanding your own emotions and market psychology isn't something you can learn from books or trading tutorials. Making a few bad mistakes and applying that experience to your future strategy is all part of "paying tuition."

I hope he takes this as a lesson learned. One should always have an exit plan that minimizes losses.

I'm sure the OP friends also don't have an understanding in trading, sometimes we don't even realize that we are driving a FOMO. When I was a victim of FOMO, I was always patient even though sometimes it was annoying to know that I was the victim. I only remind anyone, trade in our own way, because even if we lose we will be satisfied with our actions, moreover also enhance our trading experience.
1128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trump is tweeting about Bitcoin O.O thoughts? on: July 12, 2019, 06:23:38 AM
not a surprise anymore, every time bitcoin has increased, there is always a fud, both from the president of the United States or from world financial managers such as the IMF, world banks and also who have a big role for investors like The Fed.

Yea I'm not sure why I'm surprised anymore really. It has to be someone from the financial industry that finally convinced him to copy/paste a bitcoin fud article to tweet out. It's funny because he's all like, "crypto isn't money, but if facebook want's to play with crypto then they need a banking charter because..well it's money"

Meanwhile banks routinely get fined for laundering more then the entire market cap of bitcoin, and JP Morgan Chase's ship is found with drugs worth many times the value.

haha, right bro, maybe they think sending tweets through a Trump account can affect bitcoin, but here I laugh because it's useless, those who believe will still believe and those who hate will still hate.

Even they cannot reflect on themselves that there are still mistakes made, but want to drop others with their same mistakes. Sounding cunning indeed, I was not surprised if indeed trump sent a tweet like that because basically he was cunning.

1130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Free Exchanges Fees? is this Possible. on: July 09, 2019, 01:14:22 PM
Its impossible. If any exchanger go for free fees.then exchanger should pay the fees. because to make a tx need some fees to confirm that tx.Also exchanger owner pay hosting bill domain bill, also they have some staff and worker.if they make free fees then that exchanger can't survive

Actually maybe and such exchanges exist, but I can't guarantee the matter of trust and safety. I personally better use exchanges for costs but in terms of security. If you want to trade without fees, then use a decentralization exchange like IDEX, Forkdelta, etc. I think DEX is a shortcut to get exchanges with low cost trading and transfer tokens, because DEX pays fees directly from transaction costs.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is parlay an effective betting strategy? on: July 09, 2019, 12:45:05 PM
Higher risk but also higher reward. I've had a few parlay wins in the past but most of the time you're going to lose with parlay betting, though the wins you do get are going to be greater. Due to the higher risk I really don't parlay bet anymore though; I do know a few people that almost only parlay bet, but it's not for me. It sure can be effective if you work at it and develop a good way of placing the bets though.

Higher risk, higher reward. Yes, I don't think that statement is intended only for the Parlay method, but also with other betting methods and strategies. I am also like you, rarely now to bet because the risk is very high, for now I am looking for good methods and strategies, which produce consistent profits.
1132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to lock $1 million. on: July 09, 2019, 12:30:51 PM
If you are planning to hold the coin, you should buy a Trezor or Ledger hard wallet. These are the purses that make your property the best security and no hackers can invade.
talking about long-term hold, for 5 years, ETH is definitely one of the best to hold long. When technology is truly thriving, big investors entering the crypto market will pay more attention to ETH. They have a great technology but it is not time for it to explode.
So, 5 more years will be a great time to come back and sell them.

By storing the coins in Trezor or Ledger, he can still withdraw and send them at any time. The OP intends to keep all coins and will not access them for the next 5 years, even though the OP is in need of money or death. After 5 years the OP opened its wallet again.

I think your idea of saving on Trezor or Ledger is a good idea, but you need to add something like a safe and forget about it. This is an effort so that FOMO or FUD are not carried away, which can frustrate the plan to hold coins in 5 years.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbetting odds, which do you prefer? on: July 09, 2019, 12:07:36 PM
Therefore I'd like to get some of your opinion based on your experience, which is odds listed below gives you a better chance of winning?

a) over 2.00 or b) less than 2.00

Odds of over 2.00 means that team or player is the underdog or have low chances of winning. If you're lucky you will win double from your betting amount but that doesn't happen always. I would still prefer less than 2.00, they already proved their capability to win reason many people bet on them.

Less than 2.00 does not win all the time either, odds is not a measure of winning, if that is, we can bet blindly but still win, things like that doesn't happen in sports betting, I never come across a gambler who's been winning using the under 2.00 odds only.

The thing is, posters here just give their opinion but don't really experience the success betting on odds under 2.00.

Actually, if you talk about opportunities, it's relative, maybe you speak less than 2.00 better, and other people talk otherwise. In my own opinion, both are equally good, it's just how we can perfect both of them into better opportunities so that we get the maximum victory. Gambling is a matter of strategy and not luck, if the strategy is good then you are lucky but if you are lucky the strategy is not necessarily good.
1134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It costs less to mine gold than it does to mine Bitcoin on: July 08, 2019, 11:33:33 AM
Either of the two, both of them has a negative impact on the environment. Mining gold can affect the loss of biodiversity, erosion, and it's just destroying the land. Addition to that are the limited gold. In mining bitcoin, it consumes a lot of energy and create tons of co2 that is obviously bad for the environment. But think objectively, when you mine gold, there are laws regulated by the government regarding it. It's much harder compare to mining bitcoin. There are already a lot of problems in mining because of illegal mining, and it's basically destroying the environment big time. Will you still add to that?

More or less so, in my country there are many mines, especially coal mining. Coal is not much different from gold, where the land must be dredged deep to get what is sought. In fact, I compared the conditions before the existence of gold mining or other mining conditions when the mining had been built, enough to make me sad to see it. Nature that was once green, is now arid and has large holes filled with project trucks that carry mining products.

Mining does not always operate, when the search is started, the mining will be closed. And stupidly, the big holes they dredged up were not closed again which eventually became quite dangerous puddles.

Here I start thinking, why does everyone criticize bitcoin miners, even though bitcoin mining in my opinion is more appreciative of nature. There is no natural damage, I'm sure if the problem is about electricity, in the future there will be new innovations in electricity efficiency. Mining bitcoin is also universal, where everyone can mine without regulation, without the word illegal. I hope that in the future people can realize this and start mining bitcoin.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Card Game launch by Credits developers on: July 07, 2019, 12:11:23 PM
Dont know on whats the mechanics of this game but on the design itself i can say its on mediocre side.Im not really fan on downloading any extensions
honestly and thats why it do already lost my interest on checking it out.
Exactly that’s my concern, I can’t open any untrusted site and don’t want to download anything. Well, card game is a nice game, we have that kind of game locally and hopefully to see that too online.  The name is too encouraging for a Male gambler for sure, wanna hear more about that project.

I myself do not care about appearance, as long as it does not confuse it. I am more concerned with the functionality of the gambling site itself, but if you do not like the design, maybe you can create feedback threads and send it to the development team.

All right, it's quite interesting, but I just explored the primedice forum and found no thread discussing the offer you gave. Can you provide a thread about your offer, so that I can read and understand more clearly how it works.
1137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking for betting partner on: July 07, 2019, 11:11:28 AM
Yeah I remember this similar thread before. It's probably the same guy
That's the thread that came to my mind after reading what he's looking for and after using a thrownaway account.

I guess OP you're aware that no one's willing to be your betting partner.

I am sure the OP has another account that is highly ranked here and I feel it is useless that no one will believe it. Funny thing is, he offers a very capitalist advantage where his partner only gets 10% of each win, if his partner can make more money himself then why should he partner with him haha.
1138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you earn from the lastest bull run of BTC 3k4-8k3?? on: July 06, 2019, 10:16:20 AM
Did anyone ask your self why you always miss the train and then regret and decide to fomo?

Why do we, you, and I always miss the train? That's because there is still distrust of bitcoin, meaning that people who miss the train still don't believe fully. Their mentality is still filled with doubts and fear of loss. Unlike people who have full confidence in bitcoin, they will not think long about the future of bitcoin, because they have full confidence that the period of bitcoin will be better than now.

I did the opposite, haha. Instead of buying, I hurriedly sold my  BTC.70 when I see it falling on the $3k value. It was a tough decision to make. I am not an expert trader and I don't have that much money to buy because I already bought some on the $4k mark but like what happened , it still manage to fall below that. Those bastards are lucky for having many experiences in this trading because I'm sure they are always buying on the bottom.

But now you have new experience from your previous trade and you can have the right decision if one day you are in the same situation. I hope you will not fall into the same hole for the second time, the more you experience, your trading level will get closer to that bastard.
1139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The time of seriousness is disappearing on: July 06, 2019, 09:48:57 AM

Expert prediction? I myself do not believe that because the definition of an expert in my opinion is myself. Many FOMOs reported by experts and those who were victims of FOMO were rabbits. I understand a lot of crypto experts out there, but that doesn't mean we can swallow their information completely. We have our own instincts and strategies, where will the market go next. I myself regret when I have to lose listening to the words of other experts, but I will feel happy if I lose with my own beliefs.

1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video call for KYC verification on: July 06, 2019, 09:00:04 AM
Video call for kyc verification?? Is it possible? Do you think it is the best way , rather than uploading your documents for kyc verification process? Most bounty campaigns and ICOs nowadays required a kyc.

If video call for Kyc verification is possible, what is the best and secure app to you use for video call
wow!! What a great idea this is! Really  i did not think about this way for kyc verification before one minute from now. But i can not think how it will be work for kyc? Its need more time and More workers for doing verify.  I don't  think they will choose this process. But if they can maintain this way then this process will be best for accurate  kyc. Because many fake ico collect kyc information from the customers and they sold or use to make another crime.  Thanks

Great idea? I think this is a bitcoiner nightmare, even if it really does mean the basis of crypto anonymity is gone, I don't agree with this. Then do you think if using videocall will stop fake ICO from collecting information from customers and selling it? I don't think so, because they will always find a way. Even in my opinion, doing KYC with selfies is hard because it is privacy for me, they try to trust us then do you trust them? maybe you trust them, then do you believe their system will always be safe from hackers?
