881  Economy / Economics / Re: Can not believe 5 years ago you could of bought one whole bitcoin for this much! on: August 18, 2019, 03:35:21 PM
When I got my first BTC from Localbitcoins in January 2017, the exchange rates were still below $1,000 per coin. I don't remember the exact price, but I guess it was somewhere around $900. I paid a premium of 5%, so the end price was $950. I still remember the nervousness I felt while making the investment, but now I feel that I should have purchased more coins back then.

Wwll, that is the beauty or curse of Bitcoin, depends how you put it. Volatility, sonetines plays for you and sometimes against you. When I got into Bitcoin the price was around 600$. Of course, now I wish I would have bought more but I couldn't know how the situation will develope.

Haha, it's better to invest, maybe volatility will play with you. For me there is no reason not to buy bitcoin right now, even though price is already very high, no one really predicted that yesterday's ATH price was the highest, it could be 10x more in future.

If volatility is against you, I don't think it needs to be over-thought even though it hurts but this is an investment, we must be able to bear any risk. So I mean, I will invest in what I truly believe without doubt and vice versa.
882  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is MACD(Moving Average Convergence Divergence)? How to use it? on: August 18, 2019, 02:20:56 PM
Guide that are useful for newbie because everything you explain here is just a basic lesson. And for me MACD does not really have high accuracy, I myself only use MACD for additional indicators or confirmation with other indicators. I prefer to draw support and resistance lines or trend lines because it has more accuracy. I hope you can provide a combined guide to MACD, support & resistance lines and other indicators. If there is only one indicator, I think the accuracy is not good enough but your article is already very good for knowledge that is just learning to trade.

Theoretically when we read the explanation of MACD it looks more like it can give a clear signal to buy and sell and people usually go into this thought that they can book a sound amount of profit. The fact being one indicator is never enough to predict the direction of the market. It is always combination of the indicator that a trader applies on a chart and then places his/her bet.

Also, as you mentioned there are few crossovers that are overlooked. Such overlooked crossovers might be one of the reasons why the back testing results are completely different from the explanation. Back test results are closer to truth of any indicator in my view.

that is why one indicator is not enough, if seen from the picture above there are indeed some crossovers that are ignored but it will be readable if combined with other indicators so that we know every false crossover. Providing an explanation of MACD with past trades is easy but if done directly it might be difficult because we will not know which ones will be false crosses.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Winning Streak in a Dice Game on: August 18, 2019, 01:23:36 PM
Martingale sucks, the best way to minimize from gambling is just get out when you starts to feel that you are more lucky today because that brings over confidence to use which keep asking us to bet again and again until we lose everything.
Is there any better adjective for suck? If there is, then I think it will be better used here because martingale is a fucking sucking strategy. I used this on a game 2 days ago and I lost all my money, it felt good at the beginning but man; the end of the game was heartbreaking.

We should learn to reduce so much confidence in gambling. This is destructive and makes us loose our money so quickly. I am sure its one of the reasons for my loss. I still feel very heartbroken meditating on how the game played on, how I thought I was going to cash out big and how I ended up going home with nothing. It wasn’t a nice experience at all.

I think martingale is still good enough if I am smart enough to use it, I myself still use the martingale system when I lose and so far it's good enough, although not everything works smoothly, sometimes I lose a lot but I limit my martingale. So I don't keep on chasing my previous losses, sometimes we have to accept losses and get back to playing from the beginning.
884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Sold 2BTC at $3,000 and BTC Bumped to $10,000 on: August 18, 2019, 12:08:18 PM
Well, daily needs must take precedence, especially with regard to family and we are the only hope. I myself am the same as you, when there is an urgent need and my savings are not enough then I will give up my bitcoin. Actually those who say to invest and continue to hold bitcoin, it's not entirely wrong, it's just that they are not smart enough to understand, invest in part and save some for daily needs, I think this is the right one. But no, most people understand to invest everything so that when they are in a big situation they have to give up their investment.

so my question is, do you have BTC again?
regret always comes later. why do you sell everything if there is a choice to sell half of it?

Yes, I still have some tiny pieces here and there but nowhere near the 2BTC. I had no choice to sell half and leave half and there was no means to raise dollar loan. Don't forget that getting loans to hold on to Bitcoin is risky too, because you never can tell (for certainty) the direction it will go at any point in time. So I had to sell all to meet my needs.

You sell 2 BTC at $3000, which means you get $6000. Is the cost of living in your country very high? why don't you try to sell only what you need, not all of it, you won't use $ 6000 in one day right? So I mean, you can still enjoy trading and bitcoin increase for several weeks.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many new traders are playing to lose on: August 18, 2019, 05:45:46 AM
He has 100$ and he traded just twice with 50$ which results in quick lose,im not an trading expert but most trading platforms always warn traders to limit their trading to the highest of 10$ which would have given him more chances to continue trading

Apart from not learning how trading works he is playing to lose,i think this is what many newbies are doing as well,if you are doing the same you will always end up losing your money,if you want to bet 50$ on a trade you must have thousands  of dollars on the trading platform not trading with 100$ and be praying for a miracle.

For me it does not matter to trade what percentage of the total money we have, as long as you know how to analyze the market. I myself when trading is uncertain, when I see a very good market situation, I can bet up to 50% -100%, it is very risky but for me it is an opportunity.

The mistake new trader is not wanting to learn how the market works, they are new but want to jump right into the real market and finally they are confused when taking a position. Not only learning about the market but management and fundamentals are also very important, it will be useful to determine how many bets will be placed.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: August 18, 2019, 04:53:10 AM

Gambling is intended solely for fun but majority do treat it as a money making activity which it makes them more addicted to it as they goes forward hoping to get theirselves rich.
Not really that fun or people think of it just for fun. They engage into gambling just because they want the jackpot prize, the amount is really encouraging yet a sad lose of our ends may sometimes to happen. Nobody could stay in the line without its purpose and that people struggle looking of their luck in gambling is not an entertainment anymore IMO.

Only some of them want jackpot prizes because not all gambling games have jackpot prizes. The fact is that gamblers want to make quick and easy money because they always think gambling is easy than working in the real world. And after they gambled and then lost, they felt sorry but the thought that gambling was making quick and easy money was still in their minds so they continued to gamble nonstop.
887  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY 21 MILLION BITCOIN CANNOT SERVE THE WHOLE WORLD on: August 17, 2019, 07:05:47 PM
The amount of Bitcoin, even there are over 15% frizzed, can be enough for all of us. and it will be in movement...
A salary in BTC: 0.00001Btc
A car in BTC: 0.001
A house in BTC: 0.01BTC
(speculations)

There are times when your speculations come true when demand & supply is high, but I don't think everyone should mention commas in every transaction with bitcoin. So at that time satoshi will play an important role, maybe people will say more with satoshi value except for the whales who have a lot of bitcoin.

And for me, we don't need to think long about the rest of this bitcoin supply because surely not everyone in the world will adopt bitcoin. Maybe there is bitcoin but fiat they prefer, there are times when bitcoin will switch functions into investment land.
888  Economy / Gambling / Re: I going to investment in wink.org what do you think about it? on: August 17, 2019, 09:30:08 AM
Considering website has been in operation since 1998 I don't think this is a marketing move, looking at the website they do have enough design and development skills to make a better announcement as well so I feel like this is honest 100% question from a noob investor with some funds.

However, considering this website is not known as much as some of the others I would say to stay away from it for a little more while, I would say maybe try more known ones for a while and see how they work and compare their workings with wink as well and see if that looks up to par with the old known ones. If you still insist on investing with wink after that at least you would know what the others provide and what wink does and take the risk accordingly, but if you see something you like more on others that lacks in wink than you can stay away from it.

It is true that this site's domain has been operating for a very long time since 1998. But when I looked through the web archive, this site did not run as it is now for several years backward meaning this site is a new site that bought an aged domain. Aged domain function itself is usually used by SEO players so that the site they create is easily ranked and looks professional on Google.

I agree with you, it's better to stay away first with this site because this site still doesn't have customer trust.  Just because this site is on the Binance launchpad, doesn't mean this site will benefit us, in fact there are many projects in the Binance launchpad that are less profitable.

889  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will BAKKT affect future of bitcoin? on: August 17, 2019, 03:02:25 AM
1. Third parties involvement: I personally prefer bitcoin to be sent and received peer to peer directly between wallets without involvement of third parties.
It depends on the taste of each person, if they feel safe to send bitcoin without third-party services, I think that's just fine. But still, I would advise you to transact through third parties to maintain the security of your funds.

2. Bitcoin should be a currency: We all know that bitcoin has been created to be a currency. But these days people look at it as an investment. BAKKT will keep us far away from the main purpose of bitcoin.
Back to first answer, it depends on each person's taste. Although many people make bitcoin as an investment, bitcoin will still be a currency and not an investment like stocks & gold. Moreover, the bitcoin market is a market that has high fluctuations, this is very profitable for investors. In the future, anything can change depending at that time developments and we cannot stop many bitcoin holders from continuing to aim at bitcoin, it is not possible because bitcoin itself is decentralized.

3. Regulations: BAKKT had been in negotiations with United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission. So, it will likely cause more regulations to appear.
I think there is no need to mention crypto regulations in the United States, because even if they don't exist, the rules will continue to grow in that country. The United States is known for its strict regulations but if BAKKT offers a win-win business, maybe the United States will consider this. Because what I see, the United States is more inclined into business.
890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting feature at exchange on: August 17, 2019, 02:12:39 AM
There is betting feature exchange and that is Yobit exchange but unfortunately, they have a bunch of accusation and it means bad reputation. That is normal for me that exchange platform has also gambling platform or just we say vice versa gambling platform at the same time exchange platform. Windice.io gambling also has exchange but those selective altcoins that you might exchange like Bitcoin, Doge, Ethereum and Litecoin.

But to me it sounds strange if the trading platform adds a gambling feature because it doesn't fit their basic objectives, at least if they want to add a gambling feature, they have to make a new platform that runs under their trading platform, it's better than being merged. But if the gambling platform adds an exchange feature, I think it's normal as long as it's just an ordinary exchange feature for exchanging coins and not an exchange that is specific to traders. I hope you understand what I mean.
891  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm a full-time crypto trader. Here're my recent trades & answers to questions on: August 16, 2019, 10:43:37 PM
Pump & Dump, Trump & Dump 👀
One of the market drivers

Just to remind you:
http://bit.ly/2MlONdY
http://bit.ly/33F1wOf

Maybe that's bad news, but here I also have pretty good news and I think this news is far more powerful for making a bitcoin pump. Well let's see what news is published today.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-08-16/nyse-owner-to-offer-futures-that-pay-out-with-bitcoin-next-month

And look after the good news was released, bitcoin bounce back after being in the support area. As per my prediction that this time bitcoin will rise again, I hope it will rise even further. I am not suggesting that anyone follow my advice here, but this is only an analysis that I can describe.

893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: August 16, 2019, 09:25:55 PM
You will always to the point that you want enough winnings but you think you found a good strategy that you want to keep on, maybe because of mental fatigue but greed is the main factor.
Well, that is what we called a near to addiction in gambling. Though they are wanted to have a big profit and they always apply strategies on their own but you did not know how it works. But well, the fact is no one believed that there is a secret on this gambling platform. The real secret of gambling is to control emotion nor your self.

It is not a secret but it has become a common subject discussed, because for me gambling does not have any secrets. It takes luck when playing, the rest you have to improve your experience to increase the chances of winning.

I think there is no secret, winning more than losing is the desire of every gambler but it is like a hope that is difficult to achieve because gambling is a game that depends on luck even though you have strategy and experience, but when you're not lucky then you find it hard to win. So the secret to being able to win more is a high luck, when you realize that luck is there at the same time you can use that moment as well as possible.

Well I also think so, especially since every gambling platform has a different system and algorithm. So it will be difficult to guess the strategy and there can be no secrets, even though it exists, but only developers who know. For me in gambling that requires strategies like casino, poker, it requires experience, while gambling like dice, esports, the match requires luck.
894  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ways to succeed in trading 100% GUARANTEED on: August 16, 2019, 11:10:37 AM
I still don't understand that I have to find a psychic or someone who can see the future.
if it's really where I have to find it it's not easy in my opinion, and even if there isn't necessarily want to work together,
it's better to learn the science of trading and master a few techniques, that's enough to do trading, as long as we are diligent and not easily discouraged.

Well I think so too, I think that there are hundreds of thousands of psychics in this world but why don't they use them to make money in trading. Well, like there are hundreds of thousands of psychics, there is at least one psychic who is interested in trading and so far I have not found that. I mean not only trading crypto but also forex, because forex has been around for 15+ years. And until now there has not been a single paranormal person who traded.

Hmm, this makes me suspicious, whether those people really can predict or whether trading is unpredictable. Well, I don't think trading is predictable, so it's better to use your own analytical skills. That's much better and satisfying despite the loss than having to be someone else's tail.
895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 76% of dark market using Bitcoin on: August 15, 2019, 09:26:47 AM
Strange to see Monero and other privacy coins being so unpopular in darknet markets, is Bitcoin mixing good enough these days, or are privacy coins suffering from some problems? Maybe it's hard to convert them to BTC or fiat without raising suspicion?

There are currently some researches floating around that put Bitcoin illegal use at 1-2%, but the fact that Bitcoin is so popular sure means that something is wrong with those researches.

I thought so too. I thought Monero is taking over the dark market because of its anonymous features. Maybe it's most likely trust issues. They trust Bitcoin more than Monero because Bitcoin has been around the most and that it's easier to convert into fiat than all of altcoins without the need of exchange. Not to mention that mixer exist.

I know bitcoin has a higher trust here, but this is quite worrying for me because a few times ago I heard the news that bitcoin hackers were mixing bitcoin on chipmixers. And here I also know that this is not entirely the fault of bitcoin, but it is the fault of those who abuse it.

Especially now that there is news from CipherTrace that makes the state of bitcoin cornered, even though they are just a blockchain analysis company, but they have a considerable influence in crypto. I'm just worried that the news will be acted upon by the government, I don't expect bad things to happen to bitcoin.

897  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell Now - Buy Again @ $10500 on: August 14, 2019, 12:48:40 PM
hmm yeah, I think it's true that 10,500 is the next closest support line and I have sell it when MA50 & MA100 cross and BTC has broken support. I will try to buy back at the next 10,500-10,700.

898  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is not a scam ? on: August 14, 2019, 11:27:50 AM
I highly doubt that the writer of that article was a part of those whales, who was trying to manipulate the market and make FUD news regarding the market situation. Whatever it is don't trust any author that not well known and trying to destroy the image of crypto because they are not worth nothing. Nevertheless, that is a piece of misleading information, not a scam. Just simple, do not listen to them we have here a forum who talk a right value of crypto and the market situation.

I don't think they were part of the whales, but they were paid by the whales to make FUD news. Well, we know that whales have many ways to make money in the market, they have a big influence when selling and buying. I also agree that do not listen to news that does not make sense with what we predict, because we have a full decision on what we invest.
899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Should Know Before Playing A Crypto Betting Game on: August 14, 2019, 03:48:25 AM
You wouldn't know if it's fair or not if you haven't tried playing it yet. I think it's better to consult to other players on what's a good crypto betting site. You can always ask here in bitcointalk. Since there's a lot of people who play here, there's a lot of experiences they have encountered.

Just do prior research about the site before trying. Look at the reviews and what other says about the site.
Best to do basic things before bringing yourself inside any gambling websites, knowing the terms and all the conditions together with reading reviews regarding to specific sites that you are targeting to play your favorite gamble, you need to figure everything to help you out deciding which place to bet your money and also to take care of your capital.

I understand that reading the terms and conditions is important but it is very much and makes me lazy to read it, especially the terms and conditions will not determine whether the site will be a scam or not. So far I don't care about the terms of any gambling site.

I myself am more focused on member reviews here on the gambling site that I will play. Especially the threads in the Scam Accusations section, it will avoid us from rogue sites.
900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banning bitcoins is against the law on: August 13, 2019, 11:10:00 AM
Every country has its own legal regulations. But there is something that applies to all countries. It's not possible to ban Bitcoin. Only a number of measures can be taken. These will not be enough. Remember, restricted things arouse more interest.
The India government was not well informed about what bitcoin is, the benefits of holding it and the positions it stand in the future as regard to our exchange rate and stores of values. If India goes ahead and makes a law that should criminalize bitcoin's holding, then she might be left out in the scheme of things in the future and her citizen are going to leave in regret! Bitcoin is an asset that worth like gold to me and any governments that hold a large quantity of it might stand in a chance to control the world in the future.

Actually the government of India already knows it all but they are more worried about crimes such as money laundering and endangering their financial stability. I myself do not agree that they openly forbid cryptocurrency, but here we cannot do anything except just accept it openly.

But on the other side I am also happy because the Indian government is also interested in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, they also plan to make cryptocurrency like a ripple supported by several world banks. Well even though the regulations are controversial with bitcoin at least they are a little interested in crypto and are allowed to return in the future.
