941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on a dog fight? on: August 08, 2019, 04:58:40 AM
I don't think dogs are animals for fighting, dogs have different characteristics from chickens. Maybe we often see cockfighting, yeah because chickens have a type of fighting chickens, but not with dogs. Dogs are more specialized for tracking because their sense of smell is stronger than other animals.

And for me animal battles are unethical because we are pitting living things. In my belief and state rules, animal fighting is strictly prohibited and has laws that protect these animals.
942  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One of the Best Weapons in Trading on: August 08, 2019, 03:59:54 AM
Well indeed stop loss is very important for trading. But I use stop loss only for my daily trading and not for long-term trading. If I trade long term and the results are not in accordance with the analysis then I will buy it back in stages while waiting for the price to rise again. And for my daily trading, I set a 5% loss in each trade.

I never like using stop loss, I would rather just ride out the storm instead of letting a stop hunting whale pick up my coins for cheap.  If your in any good coin it will always rebound if you are patient enough to wait it out.

Will you always wait for the coin to become shitcoin? for me it's ok if you trade on the top coins but if you trade on coins that are only supported by hype, it's very risky if you don't use stop loss.
943  Economy / Economics / Re: Australian Tax Office allows you to claim for lost (incl. stolen) private keys on: August 07, 2019, 03:22:20 PM
So has anyone at all come up with a way to prove that their private keys are stolen? Or lost? I can't think of anythibg that would prove it.

Even if funds were moved out and provably shown to have been transferred to an exchange, say, and somehow proven to be shown to have transferred out to someone as cash, who's to say the owner didn't arrange all that.

I'd like to know what the Aus govt knows we don't!

Haha right, this will be a case that goes round and round without any clarity. It is a little strange indeed, how the Australian government will track down a person who lost their private key while the police like the FBI alone cannot solve the crypto hacking.

Surely many of its people will claim that they have lost their private key to avoid taxes. Maybe if they lose money in the exchange they use it still makes sense, because they will have a guarantee of the exchange he uses. But I don't know, how the aus government will wear out this kind of problem later. so let's just look at further developments.
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No Loss Gambling Sites on: August 07, 2019, 01:30:43 PM
I visit on the site, and if I am not wrong, the ethereum that we're sent to them will be back to our wallet as the new token which is called CToken. So no matter if you are not the winner, you will get a new token from the compound.finance and I guess that will be sent into your mew wallet or there is a separate wallet. Hm, that is interesting. I think that is their way to sell their tokens by using the gambling games, and I guess that is a win-win solution for everyone but the problem is how good the project in a long-term.

Yup,it's quite interesting to see the concept of this gambling site. But the question is whether CToken will be worth the same as Ethereum that we transfer? And this will not be a win-win solution if ultimately the tokens are not much different from other shitcoins that are not valuable.

But so far it is quite good than those who have not been lucky to get nothing. I hope that the token will have a good price later so that this gambling platform is able to attract many people.
945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Real market manipulation on: August 07, 2019, 12:22:30 PM
Manipulation of this type exist in all markets including stocks and forex and that is why I agree with this saying that "The rich and those with huge capital markets more profits than loses " because they can turn the loses to profits through manipulation like the one you have given. The wise thing is to know when this manipulation is going on and when really traders are taking investments decision and invest on both sides by staying in the same directions.

Not really, rich people who have large capital are not fully able to manipulate the market. Those who are able to do that are only for those who can play roles, well the intention is to spread the FOMO and the FUD to encourage their manipulation.

If they only rely on order books, their manipulation will not succeed. Sometimes novice traders don't pay attention to order book, they are more active in the community or chatbox. There we will find many manipulators roaming, at least we must be able to control ourselves in such a market.
946  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If it's all so fragile, what's the point? on: August 07, 2019, 11:28:13 AM
yeah your trading rules are very good and it's not much different from mine. I determine TP & SL in each of my trades with an accumulated loss of no more than 5% of all my money. Of course, I'm not only trading on one coin, but I'm dividing it into several coins in the portfolio.

And not just losses that must be managed but also with profit. Profits also need to be managed to avoid greed in ourselves. People will forget when they feel they continue to profit until finally they lose everything.

I think the most important rules are psychology and follow the trading rules that you set out.
There were many people breaking the rules when trading, most of them failed.
Trading is an interesting job and you have to follow what you set out to do. When you go wrong, you will have to pay a high price. That's my experience in 2 years of trading.

Psychology is indeed very important, but without clear rules it is useless. Psychology begins with the rules that are made, then we only need to practice in terms of psychology to remain consistent in the rules that we make. Trading rules are also able to keep our money management stable.
947  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Satoshi ever mention anything about the taxing of Bitcoin? on: August 07, 2019, 08:44:56 AM
I know the same (lack of intrinsic value) can be said of fiat currencies, but an artificial demand for fiat currencies is created by (among other things) taxation and legal-tender laws. Also, even a fiat currency can be an inflation hedge against another fiat currency's higher rate of inflation. But in the case of bitcoins the inflation rate of 35% is almost guaranteed by the technology, there are no supporting mechanisms for taxation, and no legal-tender laws. People will not hold assets in this highly-inflationary currency if they can help it.

Concluding from Ray Dillinger's words that bitcoin has no supporting mechanism to carry out taxation. I think that is absolutely right because bitcoin itself is a decentralized currency, which from the beginning was intended as an anonymous currency. How will taxation work in a decentralized currency? wouldn't that violate the basis of its creation?

Maybe in Ripple's eyes taxation could still be developed like that because the coin was included a centralized coin. Where from the beginning intended to rival fiat currencies.
948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC to ETH Address on: August 07, 2019, 03:43:49 AM
The address formats are not the same so you can't do that.
Your software wallet should raise an error, and if it doesn't do that, I think it will convert your ethereum address in a random exotic btc address and your funds will be lost.  Undecided

Yeah right, but it depends on the wallet used, sometimes the wallet has a system to detect coin addresses. They have a format for each coin address and will send an error message when the user enters the wrong address format. But it will be disastrous if the wallet does not have this system, funds may be sent to the random address you mentioned and will lose all funds sent.

I think still using the recommended wallet, such as Electrum, Trezor, etc. They have a detection system at every coin address.
949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is Declining? And What’s Next? on: August 06, 2019, 04:48:06 PM
Bitcoin has been gaining good momentum lately and I am glad it did. It reached about 13k and faced a minor correction which I think it should have.
Now that it's quite stable at 9.5k - 10.5k I think the price should start increasing in a few more days.

But wait, I see the movement of Bitcoin is reaching the resistance line. But from the chart below bitcoin will bounce back down. So, be wary of making decisions in the next few days if you are a day trader. Well this is not advice for anyone, but I only give consideration of my analysis, the rest of the decision is in your hands and hopefully this is useful.

950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Career on: August 06, 2019, 03:54:58 PM
The fastest will be to get a loan, from your relatives and friends who believe in your skills do not go for a loan shark, or if you have some jewelry or a real estate or something that you can pawn will be ok, but only do this if you really think that you can make a career in poker, think ten times and if you are so sure then go for it.

wow that's crazy, bro. the risk is too high if you use loan funds to gamble. It might not matter if the OP has consistent profits, he just needs to borrow and raise the betting budget. But I do not recommend things like that, maybe it would be good if lucky and vice versa would be very bad if not lucky. It's better to use a parlay system by doubling the bet from the previous profit.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Longest Winning Streak in a Dice Game on: August 06, 2019, 01:44:15 PM
My winning streak is no more than 5 times, well maybe I still haven't been said to be a lucky person in gambling. But 9 times the winning streak you get is amazing, especially dice is a game that relies on luck.

I myself usually use a 70% chance of winning, I think it's very suitable because I'm still afraid of losing if it's below that.

Usually people will make flat bets rather than doubling their base bets when they meet the green one, especially at 50% win of chance. So, even if we get a long winning streak, it won't be surprising. It will be a different story if we do reverse martingale, hitting 9 consecutive greens will be very fun.

Haha is very pleasant indeed, but worth the risk. If I were an OP, I wouldn't do that extreme scene every day maybe I would try it once in a while. Parlay scenes are only done by people who are professional in dice games. Cheesy
952  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Technical Analysis Bullshit or Not? on: August 06, 2019, 12:41:04 PM
I think that people call technical analysis bullshit because of how many clowns we have on social media that do hillbilly technical analysis just for the sake of creating content. Newbies as ignorant as they are then believe technical analysis in general is not working, while in reality they have been following the wrong people.

I tend to follow Krown Crypto's videos because they are highly informative and he actually shows you the positions he has open. In other words, he puts his money where his mouth is, while the aforementioned clowns just talk but don't show anything, likely because of the fact that they don't believe their own nonsense. Quite sad how they mislead newbies.

At the end of the day, trading is purely a probability game. No one ever gets to make 100% right calls all the time. You win some you lose some. If you play it well, the higher probability trades will eventually result in a net gain. If you keep losing and losing then you only have yourself to blame for.

I do not think that technical analysis is bullshit, indeed during my trading I was not fully profitable, but technical analysis is enough to help me in determining open positions. Clowns in the media are actually not a trader who masters market analysis, they are in my opinion, just a cheater under the guise of traders.

So don't blame technical analysis here, this is purely the clown's fault. And probability only exist in the people under the that clown.
953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 06, 2019, 11:46:43 AM
It is a really unfortunate story, it is a fairly huge amount to loose and if you invested your life saving in bitcoin why would you loose hope when the market goes down, you never had any idea that the market will recover eventually, if you invest in bitcoin you have to learn how the market behaves rather than making emotional decisions and end up loosing everything in a gambling site. Nothing can sort your issue now if you would have asked this before gambling everything you would have got good advice.

That is very unfortunate, but a beginner without a mentor will not know where he should go when he is new to bitcoin. All they know is to try to buy at that time and wait until bitcoin rises, but because they don't know how the market moves, they suffer losses.

I understand this is our problem here, where beginners don't have a guide and don't know where they should go. Education is very important here, so we must guide them to the right path so that no bad people make use of these beginners.

OP experience can encourage us who are already proficient to educate the newbies who will come so that there are no more casualties. Well, although losses cannot be avoided, at least we reduce them by educating them.

Losing money is heartbreaking, yes, but if we are not going to move on and keep on agonizing and regretting what we did, we won't make a change, we'll remain broke and sad about the things in life and it is going to destroy us.

Well, there's a point, hopefully the OP will take valuable experience from this incident. And it is true that the experience is the best teacher but it is better if the beginners have a mentor to reduce losses in their investment.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 06, 2019, 12:41:37 AM
- Don't gamble without good money management.
- Don't gamble when you are not sure what to do and don't be too sure about what you are doing

Don't follow tipster choice if you don't know what you are betting for.

Especially at sports betting, newbie gamblers will just follow tipsters because they saw how good that tipsters was without knowing that this tipster actually have a lots of bets on-hand at the same time so in case of a loss on a certain game, they also have other chance to win on other games. Unlike those newbies who just follow a single bet and will lose in one single bet.

newbie gamblers will easily fall victim to this tipster because they feel confused or discouraged by what he does. Same with me when a beginner, many followed tipster to get quick profits but in the end it was the same, tipster was just bullshit.

I would also agree with OP's last point of not gambling during emotional times. I've made a lot of my worst decisions in life in general while I was overly emotional, and I almost never gamble when strong emotions pop up.

Haha That's difficult bro, you're the same as me. Actually it is human nature and its nature will be different in every human being. Emotions are natural, but we need to learn to control those emotions even though it is quite difficult.
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Ethereum survive below 0.02 BTC per coin? on: August 05, 2019, 11:59:06 PM
price ethereum and other alts will come back when the bitcoin season has ended, I think ETH cannot make a comeback in the near future because the focus of traders and investors is now on BTC. Maybe only a few people understand that the alts season is coming, but unfortunately most of them now choose to gain profit from BTC. So, we cannot force their will to buy alts, actually for me it's the same, we just have to wait for the alts season to come and it will come back.

To prevent sales is difficult because every individual has different thoughts about the coins being hold, so the price per coin cannot be forever stable because the crypto market is always moving up and down. But despite that I'm not worried about the price of each existing coin, because to increase even higher there will be at least a long process to reach a new ATH.

Yeah right, actually we have to be wise at this time. Bitcoin is now rising so take advantage of that increase and why think of Alts? if alts go down don't need to worry, instead buy as much as possible and wait for the alts season to come. Most of us are impatient whereas we can still profit from other coins being pumped now.

your entire post history is purely links to this website (publish0x.com) so maybe it is best if you explain what the hell is this site and how you are earning from it by posting links here instead Wink
do you own it or are you hired by them to advertise?

I think he will make money on every post he made through the tip feature available on the site. Maybe it does not matter if the article made is very useful for many people, but the way he promotes is not far away with spammers. I am not sure about the contents of the article, it seems like he is just chasing tip on the site by making a lot of bad articles and has no clear factual basis.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale revisited on: August 05, 2019, 11:32:09 AM
As gambling should be considered not a source of income (apart from professional poker players and their likes) but a form of entertainment and amusement only. But we still can't discard those who play rare but always big time. If they lose after a few bets, they leave. If they win, they take the spoil and instantly leave as well

But can we think of gambling like that, I'm sure most people who come to gambling sites have a goal not entertainment but money, they think gambling is their business that they can do easily.

I still agree when I have to consider gambling as entertainment, at that time people will have more psychological calm when playing. When we are psychologically tense when gambling then that's when we only think of money. It's difficult, it's hard to think of gambling as entertainment.

Invest only what you are willing to lose. Why would you gamble with such a big amount if you were afraid of losing it? Betting small amounts on accumulators regularly would have been more ideal in this case.

Well, but this is not entirely his fault, because it is difficult for humans to hold back their emotions when experiencing successive losses. They will always catch up even though they have passed what he is able to bet. This is natural and often happens to me when experiencing losses in a row.
958  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are USA traders saying sayonara to Binance? (The Exodus Is Here?) on: August 05, 2019, 10:40:57 AM
In any case, I can confidently say that Binance is by far the best Trading Exchange for me, among all whom I have dealt with.  The fact is that the resource does not freeze, because I fit my device very well.  In addition, I completely like its functionality and everything that I do does not cause any complaints.  I still do not fully use everything that Binance can offer, but nevertheless I am sure in this trading exchange, which exceeded all my expectations and even got better than my previous choice of Bittrex.

Binance always has many ways to develop their platforms, with the existence of Binance US it proves that binance really wants to be the best platform that always has innovation for crypto fans. In fact, in my opinion it is not easy for a crypto company to build a platform in the US and comply with all regulations issued by the US, even other exchanges want to get out of all US regulations, but binance is different, well he is the best.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about Gambling and e-sports? on: August 05, 2019, 10:08:22 AM
I also think like that, where when the digital age has become prevalent throughout the world, people will make more money through the internet, gambling is one of the online businesses that will boom in the future. Like before, when TV was one of the favorite media of many people, but now it has been replaced with YouTube and cinema, well it's just a matter of time until the 4.0 era was prevalent.

I ve placed bets back in my LoL-days about 5-6 years ago, so gambling and e-sports have already met Wink
E-sports is nowadays very common in traditional media, eg. big newspapers wrote about the Fortnite championchip last week. Its just a matter of time when well known betting sites like bet365 add e-sports to their portfolio, too.

Yeah right, for now they bet the traditional way, maybe because there is no media that supports to bet through platforms on the internet like casinos, poker, etc. Certainly, they will add e-sports in their portfolios, moreover e-sports enthusiasts are getting more and more and there will be more gambling sites in the future.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How I lost 200,000 EURO on Bitcasino.io on: August 04, 2019, 07:50:42 PM
I can understand how some people see me as having a gambling problem. I honestly don't. While it might seem like a huge amount of money for most people, I'm not selling my belongings or making loans or asking for handouts to make these bets. I'm not putting myself at risk with these bets and deposits. I could play 5x this amount with just one of the btc wallets I have and still be okay. I'm simply posting to see feedback and find out if this is normal to dump such a large amount of funds on the same slots over and over again and not win anything. You don't see me fighting with Bitcasino and calling them scammers and saying I want my money back because I lost everything. I'm posting my results and asking for other peoples opinions so that I can know whether to continue trying with bitcasino or not. I have fun playing the games. Obviously not when I'm losing huge amounts in a few minutes because even though I have a lot of btc it still hurts losing 5,10,15 btc on one game in less than an hour. I just want to know if I'm being taken advantage of or if this is normal.

For me it's normal because this is gambling, I don't know if this is because of your careless strategy or because of the bitcasino algorithm. I don't think you will find the answer correctly if you only focus on one gambling site, there are many similar sites that you can try. If your goal is for testing, it's better your test is divided into several sites. This will give a pretty good conclusion whether this is normal or not.

Sorry but I can hardly believe there would be someone who spent 200.000 on gambling and then casually posts in a forum like he has lost a pen.
But in case this is your real story, then you got to visit a doctor, you're seriously addicted.
Yeah this is a little worrisome, especially the part where he's saying he just did this to prove its broken, you spent 200k to prove something is a scam? I think a few grand could have done well enough on building your confidence on what something is or isn't.

Maybe he's a rich man and $ 200k is only a small part of his wealth. If I became an OP, I wouldn't be that stupid to gamble because there are still more ways to make money with that kind of money.
