I think you should send the BTC back to theymos now however, @CIYAM.

Once I get my offline PC back then yes - I will be happy to do this.

This has been one of the most unpleasant experiences in my life - I have no want to repeat it.
1862  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 05:00:46 PM
Lets hope that Theymos has an address ready for you to send the funds to by then.

Sure - why don't you PM him?
1863  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 04:53:19 PM
I feel sorry for those that don't understand having a wife (as clearly most forum poster's here don't).

You can't *reason* with an angry wife - you have to just try and fix the issue.

Apparently the mods decided to delete the most offensive posts and for that I am happy and I am sure once I show my wife this my offline PC will be returned to me.

I don't know why people think that it is so important to allow other people to be "assholes to each other* - personally I think "peace" is a better idea but in any case thanks to the mods that helped sort this out.

If @theymos is worried about me then once I get my offline PC back I will transfer the forum's funds to an address he gives me.
1864  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 04:44:25 PM
The main problem is it's hard to find trustworthy treasurers, currently theymos still holds most of the BTC.

Again - even if I can't access my offline PC I will not *steal* the forum's BTC - is that clear enough yet?
1865  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 04:32:06 PM
I have stated that I will still honor my obligation about the 50 BTC even if I never get my offline PC back (so that will come out of my own funds).

This is not about trying to extort the forum but simply about why is there no moderation about such posts (after they were reported several times).

If you can't see why my wife is *angry* then I think you need to re-read the posts.

Do you guys not think that some sort of "decency" should exist at all?
1866  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 04:03:48 PM
Sure if you guys want to show that "we agree that women should be denigrated" then do absolutely nothing.

It is only my wife that you are hurting but clearly you don't care about that.

Also my wife is only asking that "off-topic" posts are removed from that topic - is that so unreasonable (and any replies I made should also be deleted)?
1867  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 03:55:12 PM
I just had a thought, can we confirm this isn't a hacked account first? CIYAM are you able to sign an address please?

I am having troubles with trying to run Bitcoin software here but you are can send me an email to ian@ciyam.org or ian@ciyam.com if you think that I have been hacked.
1868  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 03:49:59 PM
My offline funds are dependent upon my offline PC.

I will try to calm my wife down but with the mods seemingly happy to see her insulted that isn't really going to be very easy.

This forum has really gone "too far" about letting people "attack others" and not helping anyone being attacked.
1869  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 03:42:18 PM
If he accepts the responsibility to hold the coins he can't refuse to pay back when required under any circumstance. If someone stole or hacked those coins he'd still have to pay them back.

Agreed - even if I can never access my offline computer again I will try to repay the BTC so this is not some game that I am playing to steal 50 BTC at all.

Seriously my wife saw the posts by that asshole and got so angry that she took my offline computer and now I don't know now where it is.
1870  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 03:38:45 PM
So the mods on bitcointalk.org have now become people that call others "absolute cunts".

Well done @theymos - you created a monster.
1871  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 03:36:02 PM
Its your responsibility to talk to your wife, not the forum's however you still have a responsibility to the forum and the funds you are holding.

When I can't access the offline computer that has the funds then I am sorry but there is nothing much I can do.

You are welcome to try and sue me if you think that will work (I don't think that my wife cares much about your opinion).
1872  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 03:32:25 PM
Generally the OP does sound like extortion though, and claiming another party is aggrieving you doesn't give you the right to pass that extortion down the chain.

Then come and talk to my wife who is so angry she won't even talk to me.

For sure you are not going to do that even if I give you her QQ - so don't give me bullshit unless you are prepared to actually do something.
1873  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 03:29:41 PM
Of course I am sure most forum members don't want to see such a topic but unfortunately I had my offline computer taken from me and have no other way to regain control of the 50 BTC that I am holding for the forum.

If you think it is fine that the forum should just allows insults of everyone's partners then please start insulting the mods partners as clearly that should be okay (am sure they will all be very happy to have their wives read posts about being "maids").
1874  Other / Meta / Re: 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 03:15:32 PM
You know this sounds like extortion right? Read your post objectively and tell me it doesn't.

You can argue with my wife about that if you like but I have lost control of the offline computer.
1875  Other / Meta / 50 BTC from the forum now frozen due to lack of moderation on: June 08, 2015, 03:12:41 PM
Unfortunately my wife saw these posts by some forum troll:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1081959.msg11558613#msg11558613
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1081959.msg11558833#msg11558833

I sent numerous reports to mods to delete the off-topic posts but they seemingly decided that such posts are "fine and dandy" in this forum.

Result is that my wife has now confiscated my off-line computer that has the 50 BTC that the forum has asked me to look after.

If the forum ever wants those 50 BTC back then I suggest you might want to delete those offensive posts.

Also if I were the forum member who made those posts I'd never plan to travel to China in the future.
1876  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: chinese exchanges reject 20mb block size increase on: June 07, 2015, 04:59:10 PM
Well as much as it has been fun to have you try and troll me (you failed but don't worry - none have succeeded) I have other things to do so I am going to *unwatch* this topic now.

Of course that is going to "piss you off" as being the troll that you are you want to keep me engaged with your stupid stuff - but I am not your therapist or your helper so I guess you'll just have to find me on another topic if you want to keep trolling me.
1877  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: chinese exchanges reject 20mb block size increase on: June 07, 2015, 04:51:12 PM
I will take any trophy,,,,

Atleast i'm not a desperate loser who lives in China to "be taken seriously".

Yup - you are so desperate that you'll take any trophy whatsoever and are too afraid to even try and live in China (as you know that you are so weak that you wouldn't even survive one week here).

Cheesy
1878  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: chinese exchanges reject 20mb block size increase on: June 07, 2015, 04:45:05 PM
If anyone on this forum took any of your posts seriously before then you have *fucked that up totally now*.

So well done on being the "morons of the month" - we should probably have a trophy for you (and your alt). Cheesy
1879  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: chinese exchanges reject 20mb block size increase on: June 07, 2015, 04:11:24 PM
But one thing is sure if the block size increases to 8mb as the Chinese want it to be then that's no way is a consensus because theoretically they say my way or the highway

Yet it was Gavin who said 8MB (you can check the article that the OP linked to - no mention of 8MB there at all).

So either Gavin is the *devil* who proposed 20MB or he is the *devilI* that accepts 8MB - somehow you seem to have everything twisted up that it has anything at all to do with what *I say* or most others.

My guess is now that you must now think that somehow Gavin is *involved with the Chinese* about all this.
1880  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: chinese exchanges reject 20mb block size increase on: June 07, 2015, 03:45:34 PM
You cannot scale up any "decentralised" system to work as efficiently as any "centralised" system.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is "deluded" (as even Gavin has stated the same).

That doesn't mean that Bitcoin can't "scale up" but it means that VISA/Mastercard could always scale up bigger.
