161  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest everything looking bearish on: May 19, 2022, 04:33:43 PM
I wish things were just as easy as that where we the normal people can decide for ourselves what we want to happen. Too bad though that ain't possible. Only the people on top can decide, what's worse is that the people who can actually make a lot of difference can't even get along. But anyway, if you are in a hurry for profits, better look for better investments other than crypto. Unless, you want to go on leveraged trading which I do not advise if you are a beginner. But if you aren't in a hurry and have a few extra bucks that you don't want to stay stagnant, then you can buy on spot. Now is a good time to buy, just DCA when needed.

163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 44 countries will meet in El Salvador to discuss Bitcoin on: May 16, 2022, 02:43:30 PM
At least we can view this as some good news which would make majority of newbies feel super bullish since El Salvador is mentioned along with other countries and their banks. Well, better than nothing I guess since if the discussion really does work out in favor of this industry then it'll bring good publicity. If it doesn't though, the very first ones to fud maybe the newbies or the click baiting experts. Regardless, the market does need positive vibes after the sharp drops a couple of days ago to somehow alleviate the fear and disappointments of the majority. Hope more positive news comes! xD
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should newbies Invest in new Projects on: May 15, 2022, 06:10:56 PM
As a newbie, I would really advise you not to invest on start ups like this one. Way too risky if you just rely on suggestions of random people online. Although some may really care enough to give genuine advise but what happens to a project is unpredicted which may get you rekt in the upcoming days after investing. The best way would be to control your greed and start small on reputable projects first as you gradually learn how to research about a project and criticize properly at least to an extent where you get 5+ wins out of 10 investments. But if you really wanna gamble on it, then use a very small amount which you can completely ignore when lost. Don't regret not gaining much profit since it is better than losses.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t rush to buy Bitcoin on: May 15, 2022, 05:36:19 PM
This definitely has some sense into it but not everyone is capable of detecting buying opportunities since not everyone has at least basic knowledge about some indicators or at least how to look for supports and resistances. For the people in this bracket and are looking to hold for long term, the best thing to do would be to gradually buy on moments when they have extra cash and never be bothered by the volatility. Of course, learning basic indicators would also be great but yes, not everyone has the time to do so or the drive. Oh well, accumulate and DCA is the best long term strategy for the lazy ones anyway. I just hope no one in this bracket does leverage trading or uses money that they cannot afford to lose.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Such News pisses me off! on: May 15, 2022, 04:27:07 PM
I feel you man, Influencers like this do piss me off a lot as well. Nowadays, as information gets easier to find, more unreliable sources pop up which makes it quite bad to trust a single source alone. Just goes to show that like how televisions were used for personal gains and agenda by the media back then, social media platforms nowadays are also experiencing the same greedy manipulation caused by the same selfishness of the capable individuals or groups. Which is why I never follow any shillers/influencers and only hear about them coincidentally. Although, I still watch sometimes but just to hear about new hypes and all so I can do my own research about how worthy are the ones being mentioned and yes, some are true but not all.
167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Women's participation into cryptospace - Increased? on: May 14, 2022, 03:42:50 PM
This is really great since it just shows that mass adoption is hastening more and more that it gets tons of people curious about bitcoin or crypto currency as a whole. While some women are interested just because of the get rich quick ideology that most newbies have when they start out(the moms mentioned by OP), it is something that shouldn't be worried so much about since just like most of the time, these people will gradually change their views as they learn more in their stay within this industry. The most important part about this is the fact that bitcoin's publicity is increasing more!
168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2018 vs 2022 on: May 14, 2022, 03:06:48 PM
I don't know when this decline will end so that the chaotic situation disappears.
This situation makes us frustrated and crazy as if everything has been lost.
Many big investors end their lives because they are not mentally strong enough.

Indeed it does. Not just big investors but also the small ones that invested more than they can afford to lose. Although the warning "only invest money you can afford to lose" is always present and can easily be seen several times in this industry, some people just won't listen and still want to gamble with their money on crypto instead of being patient and more cautious. What's worse is that people does this mostly on meme coins or shitcoins just because of witnessing some hype or some random influencer shilling it. A tough and expensive price to pay for a valuable lesson in life. I just hope they do not end up giving up and actually ending their lives. As long as there is breath, there is hope.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin continue to have the same effect on alts? on: May 14, 2022, 02:17:09 PM
because I know that altcoins will always follow bitcoin. so even though I will buy altcoins but I still analyze bitcoin first. like before, I prepared money to buy automatic coins. then I saw the potential for a decline in bitcoin again, so I canceled my intention to buy matic before bitcoin went down. so after bitcoin dropped to $29,000, I immediately went in to buy matic which decreased by 24%/24 hours due to bitcoin's decline which fell to about 8%/24 hours.
and I think a lot of people are doing the same thing.

This proves the power of bitcoin

If you bought on spot and held on to it then sold when btc went up to 31k, then congrats on the profits. Too bad though, not everyone in this industry thinks the same. If that wasn't the case, more people would have studied at least the required basic knowledge to predict potential price destination. Which could've made it easier for most of the investors to buy at the right times and sell on the right times as well.

But yes, the way bitcoin takes all the whole market with it when it goes up or down shows how dominant it is. Although, this may or may not last forever. One thing I am sure of though is that it'll be impossible for me to witness it if it does happen.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Coping Strategy for Bitcoin Price Crash on: May 12, 2022, 03:52:10 PM
Whatever type of investor you are, when you see red you will not feel good. Specially when the negative out put is so much. I can't even imagine how those people that invested on top are feeling right now, let alone those that do leveraged trading and have had their positions liquidated. And while we're at it, let us also think how awful those people that have used money that they could not afford to lose and really lost it must be feeling right now.

No wise or great quotes out there would be able to erase the pain, the self blame and disappointment that most are currently experiencing in a bearish season such as this one. But yes, there are ways to reduce these negative feelings making what you mentioned a part of those ways. Another one of them is acceptance which makes grief pass faster. Of course, this is only true to myself and may not work for everyone since not everyone are having the same experiences as the other. Heck, there may be some people that have lost everything.
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2018 vs 2022 on: May 12, 2022, 02:26:07 PM
Great chart. Although not completely disregarding the possibility, I honestly thought a few weeks ago that it was quite impossible to get near let alone go below 35k but it did and just went lower and lower. Right now we are at 28k and about to go to lower again at 27k+. A couple of hours ago, we went as low as 26k+. This sell pressure is quite worrisome and as much as I hate it, your prediction may really happen. I just hope that when it does, a bounce will also follow to signal another bull run and not just another long term back and forth movements on several price ranges.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC cycles and super cycles on: May 12, 2022, 01:56:18 PM
As long as I have already been in this industry, I still cannot fully predict the market's direction in a larger scale. Even with all the indicators out there and waiting for several confirmations, most predictions still do not go the way I thought they would. Specially when sudden economical issues occur or some massively influential person or group of people makes a statement or rumors that are either positive or negative towards bitcoin or any crypto out there. And depending on the intensity of the news or rumor the market price moves accordingly up or down. Would be better off just doing small scalps on leveraged trades or hold a comfortable amount on spot then just DCA when price goes below buy range than cracking my head up trying to make sense with the cycles that doesn't really have a certain direction.
If you are losing money even after being here for many years, maybe you should look at the past instead of trying to predict the future. Just try to learn where you did wrong, what you assumed would happen, why you assumed that, what did you base that assumption on and then just make sure that you do not make that same mistake again.

So, there is a thing that you are failing, and the best way to stop failing at that would be to spend time on learning why you failed in the past, instead of trying to be better at it next time directly. This is of course just an advice, maybe you could get better overtime as well even if you do not follow my suggestion.

Thanks for the advice, I agree and have personally been doing this as well. I don't lose that much though that it results in me personally losing money since I do long term on spot only and on coins that I have thoroughly researched about. Of course that is if I do not panic sell or have a coin die out which rarely happens. I have one though that is not looking good right now which is sovryn but I do not regret investing since I really did love its utility.

Just a bit upset since it bothers me not being able to fully understand long term market movements. On smaller time frames though, by doing leverage, it is quite easy(although not a hundred percent but with controlled greed, profits are assured). Too bad there's little to no way out there to predict sudden economical changes nor the minds of big or influential people/group of people which heavily influences the market.
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russians collectively hold about $130b in crypto on: May 08, 2022, 03:54:48 PM
Centralized exchanges would always work in this way, you can't use them and not expect to be censored, locked out of your funds, banned/account blocked for one reason or the other, even if you are not from Russia, and even if this war didn't happen, as long as you use centralized exchanges and store your funds in them, the funds are not yours, and they can pull up one policy against you at absolutely anytime, and you lose your funds, not to even talk of hacks. Overall Russian citizens who use Bitcoin/crypto should stay away from centralized exchanges, at least for now, if they want to buy and sell crypto they should do so through p2p outside of a centralized exchange.

That's right which is why experienced people have always opted for p2p transactions or decentralized exchanges. The thing about this though is that not everyone has access to good p2p trading platforms or reputable enough individuals to be trusted which makes depositing and withdrawing or exchanging fiat a bit more tedious or impossible without these centralized exchanges or custodial wallets. The worse part about banning is not getting your funds locked inside an exchange since people barely store huge amounts on exchanges nowadays. Instead, the thought of not being able to transact and exchange fiat to crypto or reverse is what makes this pretty upsetting.

175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russians collectively hold about $130b in crypto on: May 07, 2022, 07:05:07 AM
Wow that is lot of rubles actually. I’m not surprised with the numbers considering the bitcoins trend. Since ruble is falling badly against USD the number could be different at the time of publication or calculation. Most of them might have identified with exchangers and bank transfer to the crypto accounts.

I don’t think their government has any issues with such amount being invested in the crypto. After war situations even escalated to another level, like we have crypto we have secured funds (May be?). Like we do Gold in the crisis.

I feel you. This amount is quite huge even for a country as big as Russia. It would have been better though had they not announced this since it maybe because of this being publicized that major centralized exchanges are now banning Russian people from using their services. And just a while ago, I have also read a post saying that binance has also went and took this banning thing a bit further by banning some relatives of Russian people that they can find despite it having nothing to do or not even being in the country of Russia instead. And so, I guess crypto really isn't something that we should see as an all around solution but instead, one of the other alternatives to secure funds.
176  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin still in such a state? on: May 07, 2022, 06:22:47 AM
People who barely know how to read signals should not be using any stop loss or any other method and should stay away as further as possible for the time being. Market is already losing blood and it is basically just a situation where even veterans are leaving and not trading like crazy right now, and that means that if we could stay away from it as long as possible until it gets better than it is better.

If we learn about signals and be great at finding where to buy, then even the signal could come to be a wrong one, because market could move hectically without caring about the indicators. So, it is best to stay away for the time being.

I definitely agree with you. In times of uncertainty, the best decision would be to take a break from doing leveraged trades. It would be better if people just pick a few good altcoins in their eyes then buy little by little on spot as the market drops even further. The problem is that most newbies are very stubborn and that most of the people who give out signals only care about their community population which is why they still risk giving signals despite the risks. Still it would be nice if the people following such signals would strictly follow the instructions and not over leverage or go all in on every signal given.  Oh well, it is what it is, best teacher is experience so better let them experience now than later.

178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitgert Vs Shiba inu on: May 06, 2022, 06:55:51 AM
Is it true that what bitgert project has in store will beat shiba inu to the core? I've been hearing and reading all these rumours online for a while now what do you think about bitgert project? Anyone investing money on this project already?

Why choose tho? I mean for shiba investors or holders which are clearly risk takers, what is there to be afraid of to put their money on another risk? I mean, bitgert isn't even that bad compared to shiba when it just started out. Investors would be better off investing some of their profits from shiba into bitgert. That is if they really did take profit and have stored some stable coins. While it may be tempting to buy back shiba all in for these people, I wish they don't go all in and try to diversify their investments instead. Oh well, it is their money anyway so let them be.

Now for people that are not investors of shiba, it would be a good opportunity to invest some amount that you can forget about on bitgert like 2-5% of their capital just for speculative profits. I mean, profit is profit and it wouldn't be too late to add more if the coin really does prove itself to be worthy. Important thing is that there would not be much losses.
179  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: May 06, 2022, 04:15:50 AM
It was indeed on a fast pace manner on which its been to short that El Salvador had engaged to crypto and then suddenly decide on making it as a legal tender which i couldn't really blame that there would

Well, people would always need someone to blame and if there is someone who is worthy of it or should take it then it would definitely Bukele and his advisors since they are the ones that pushed this half-assed decision.

Quote
be some mishaps or misunderstanding specially into its citizens because switching from fiat to crpyto/BTC would be entirely be that needs some time and cant really be able to
be adopted or understand in a short span of time as i said earlier and now people been calling it that it had failed?? No its not..We would be calling it that it failed
when they do revoke or revert their decisions.

Quite difficult to understand what you are saying right now but yes, if we take it literally, the word failed is quite inappropriate to use in this situation since they have not cancelled bitcoin adoption yet. So a bad decision it is then. Regardless though, this bad decision from them really made the lives of most people in El Salvador a bit more difficult than it already was. It would've been really nice if they have prepared plans to aid people/businesses when market situations such as now happens or just delayed the adoption all together if after critical consideration they still cannot find solutions to protect adopters when such bad market conditions occur like now.

180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Momentum in Crypto World on: May 06, 2022, 03:39:14 AM
But if we wanted to see if fully adopted, it should be retail investors, individuals like you and me that will push bitcoin to its global adoption.

While retail investors like you and me are vital to bitcoin's overall growth, this is not something that can increase like magic. Only by the influence by the news and social media can we increase these numbers(mass adoption). And how can this happen? This can happen or hasten whenever some big organization, institution or a massively influential person announces a positive action or view about bitcoin or any crypto currency. Just like how products that have famous individuals advertising them are gaining more sales than others of the same kind, Bitcoin or the entirety of this industry as a whole also needs as much influential people, organizations, and institutions to promote it in a good light to hasten the mass adoption even more.

Quote
Yeah, maybe educational institutions could also another industry but as someone posted, this is going on for many years now, but we really don't have the numbers if parents of the students are paying with bitcoin or the old and traditional fiat system.

Please explain this a bit more since I find it hard to analyze the real thought that you are trying to explain, thanks.
