101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 15, 2023, 02:56:57 AM
Team Secret is on the eyes of many as of now due to the roster changes that they've recently announced. Now, there's another known team which is the Nigma Galaxy and they're taking another addition not to the roster but to their team with a coach.

They've welcomed "March" as their new coach. After helping Execration to reach Lima major, he's now being taken care of Nigma Galaxy as their new coach.

While the former Nigma's coach, "ImmortalFaith" goes to Geek Slate as their new coach.

As expected, some teams will change in order to catch up. Team Secret just like last season is in a bumpy road and there are too many rivals in the region. March brought Execration into a major but they disappoint in the actual major. Maybe the lack of international experience of the team had mental effects. I am still doubtful on Nigma but we will see, maybe they will do good with March and the new patch.
That's what a coach really does, I remember when the time like SEA teams don't participate a lot in international teams but when a coach has came in their performances have improved a lot.

I don't know why Geek Slate brought a coach coming from a team that is underperforming lately.
It's not about the team that he has managed, it's about his experience. Check out IF's experiences and who he'd played with before. He's one of the founders of Vikin.gg which turned out into a great team and then now, they're the known Gaimin Gladiators.

By the way guys, who had fun watching Old G against Plasma? Ceb transitioned now into a pos 4. They're now qualified for the Closed qualifier for the division 2 in Western EU. The open qualifier was too easy for them and just fun games honestly.
At that time SEA isn't really playing for global competition that is why most playstyles they had are behind the meta or sometimes they're making their own meta. Even until now the meme still exist about SEA as a cancerous server, but it's not that they don't play like pros but because of their unusual builds.

I'm rooting for the Old G coz I want to see them on the group stage again hopefully they wont choke again like any other times they did during qualifiers.  I remembered during an interview from the last year's TI when topson said it was different when he was playing with Ceb and BigDaddy compared to T1 coz he was comfortable having someone taking the command while on his new roster there was nobody who would step up to the plate. Regardless they have a good run last year, I wanna see topson back in action again with his unorthodox builds.
102  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: March 14, 2023, 05:06:15 PM
As per experience, the longer the site exists the buggier and more traffic it gets. One of the reason is because of the increase of users. That is why I understand people who would say no matter what platform is it as long as it is running smoothly that's all they needed.

There're lots of sites claiming to be "web 3" when they are not and if you're someone who's been constantly on the internet, you can spot them immediately. Not that I personally care about that because that's their own marketing strategy, but it's somehow bad because the term has been used specially to attract people to make it sound more technical/modern, and it also ruined the concept of web 3. Mostly newbies thought that it is cool to be part of that but as time goes by they will lose interest because more and more platforms show the same ideas and offers although it isn't even web 3. I agree with the OP saying it could be misunderstood specially with new users thinking it's new, not knowing that's not the real thing.

We should also know that people nowadays gets bored easily, so even if they attract more users on that marketing strategy eventually they'd get bored and try new things that aren't common to them.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: March 14, 2023, 03:41:11 PM
This story may be considered to be off topic but this commonly happens on every occasion in every household or even those circle of friends. I was once in a situation that one of my friends tried to loan money from me, and at that time though I have money, it was intended for paying the bills and some other expenses so I turned him down. It came the time that we were at the event and when I greeted him he felt awkward and just imediately change the topic so he could go away. It turns out that he was sulking and still holding a grudge om me for turning him down, and that's it. I didn't bother explaining about why I did that coz it feels like I'm the one at fault on that situation and it's no longer my problem if he will act that way.

There're really times that people don't want to understand your situation but when it comes to yourself you always try to understand them. I already reached that point where if they don't want to, then I won't coz it only feels like I'm wasting my energy when I could use it in a more productive way.

104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my small investment on: March 14, 2023, 12:53:05 PM
I recommend that it's best to buy more whenever you have extra money. This isn't financial advice but only a suggestion. Based on the interviews from veteran investors, what gives them more profit is by buying and holding or buy to to store it as savings coz overtime what you bought whatever the market price is, in the end if the price moves up, you already profited from your purchase, either it will rise or fall you will still gain even a small percentage as your profit.

It'a also best to learn more about the market while you are storing your purchase. Some will advise you to do different kinds of trading, but whichever you will choose what's important is that you earn. In the process of learning the market for sure you will encounter more opportunities for you to buy more for your investments.
105  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this what awaits us? on: March 14, 2023, 10:26:54 AM
It's still not safe even if the statistics shows us that information for now. Remember that anything can happen overnight if you aren't that careful, you'll be swallowed by the currents. As for now also it is still within our imaginations but still we do need to be careful because who knows what will happen? This is crypto we're talking and it's not just another asset or a store of value that most of us traditionally knew.

There is also a huge chance that the bubble would pop if those big fishes decides to play around the market, but it's just a possibility coz who would ever want to lose their money right? In regards of the inflation, I know for sure that in the next few months our country would feel the changes. I'm getting this weird feeling that there will be another change somehow.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gamble continuously because have surrendered to the situation on: March 14, 2023, 09:28:41 AM
This guys clearly needs medical attention already. Winning back your losses? Nah you're just diving deeper and deeper into the pit. Although you've said luckily he doesn't have criminal record (for now), you'd think it'll stay the same in the future? Coz I personally think it won't. His addiction will only worsen if this guy doesn't get rehabilitated. Imagine how he was selling all of his family's assets just for him to gamble? What do you think he will do next when the time comes that he no longer has any source of funds to pay for his addiction? Another option is to lend money, which leads him to be full of debt in the next few months.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 14, 2023, 04:52:51 AM
The most popular mistake that newbies make with online casinos is avoiding the rules and regulations, not all online casinos will put up a warning sign on their first page and say 👇

"New users are welcome, please read our rules and regulation before making your first deposits"

You have to look for the website FAQ and go through it first, I have seen some newbies that avoid doing this has they ended up shooting themselves in the foot.

Some even start spreading FUD on the forum about these gambling platforms that did them wrong, not knowing that they are the ones at fault, they are guilty because they don't read the rules and regulations.
Honestly, how many people log in to a website and immediately go read the ToS? I'll bet it's less than 10% of a websites users. It's no different on any website either. It doesn't necessarily have to be a gambling platform. Bitcointalk has the same issues. Noone reads the rules and stickies and some find themselves banned fast.
I highly agree with you. Most of the times we only read ToS when we need something. It's also a common occurrence to hear complaints everyday in whatever platform it is. Because, like it or not, we don't like complicated things and such hassles when it comes accessing the things that we want, same with whatever sign ups we've done, and we only care about that when these are involved "money and security".

109  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and education on: March 13, 2023, 04:14:26 PM
Being the richest I mentioned is in a literal sense that you don't suddenly start waking up to money in your bank account just because you graduated from school.

Of course, you'll not be wealthy by default just got education. Some education can give you not enough capabilities for earning more, But what we know is that lack of education highly likely will lead to getting much less than educated ones can get and not enough knowledge can lead to simple mistakes could cause big losses. So educating people in finance is really important, at least with basics. And if some didn't get basics of economy at school it will be a good idea even for adults to read even children's books about economy as many make really simple mistakes.
Being a degree holder doesn't guarantee anything. Even if you earn the skills, you still need to compete with someone who earned the same skill as you do, what matters the most is by what makes you different than them and how can you showcase your skills at the same time become an asset and bring something more than what you can offer to the table.

Financial awareness is really important not only for the future but even old people regretted not learning those knowledge at am early age, but as what I noticed from them is that, those knowledge are earned through accumulation of trial and error, faolure after failure along with not wanting to give up by any means.
110  Economy / Speculation / Re: what If Bitcoin Price never comes up on: March 13, 2023, 12:41:43 PM
I think Bitcoin will still come up  next month we know Bitcoin always fall and rise, but it's might rise next month, and this is not the first time Bitcoin is going down this is just a temporary bear market, after now he will rise again. The price of Bitcoin is speculative and never stable at a certain price, price of Bitcoin can go down today any moment and rise anytime.bull market and bearish as a normal investor that is what you will experience. The price of Bitcoin depends on how the market go .The price of Bitcoin tends to falls when demand are lose in supply and after a while the  price starts to rise again.
It seems like you are doubting too like the OP huh? Of course Bitcoin can always find a way for recovery but sometimes it is not easy and can take a long time. It's only up to you if you don't have a patience to wait for that moment. If not then you will only found your self selling at low prices and you can only earn minimal profits if not losing. What is that temporary bear market you are saying?

We are in a long-term bear actually but I think it will end soon because the halving is now close and we are seeing some signs that we are now close in to the bull run. Normal or extra ordinary type of investor, all can feel the same volatile market but normal or inexperienced investors are the ones who are worrying the most.
We cannot blame them since there are still possibilities that it will go the other way around. As for me I am not that much worried coz if it goes up it goes up, if it goes down so be it. It's not that I fully trust bitcoin's potential but I do trust the process. We've already seen how many struggles bitcoin had survived and as expected that there'll be much more in the future, but still bitcoin despite all the odds overcome that trial.

The forking alone is making the market alive again by showing signs of slight changes, though we could say that it doesn't have that much movement compared to those previous forks, at the very least it is making movement than no movement at all.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: less risk or big profit? on: March 13, 2023, 11:03:40 AM
As the world evolves, it cannot be denied that there're more opportunities to join investments almost everywhere. Right now as simple as counting numbers, you can easily access and learn about kinds of investment virtual or non virtual, unlike before that you'll need to seek for a professional before learning the process of investing.

As they say, huge risks equals to huge profit, but the problem is, can they handle the consequences after? Just because it is easy to ride the waves now, it doesn't mean it's easier to overcome the results of their actions. Playing safe is by far most recommended from the "old men" for the younger ones. It is safe but somehow because of this reason why younger men wants to seek challenge and thrill. A reason like low profit or less risky doesn't matter that much to them but, battle against boredom triggers the young adults to gamble. This is one of the things I've noticed my fellow young adults, coz it's easier for them to get bored now that they have easier access to things.

You could say that it is absurd or they've taken for granted what those old people considered precious, but that's just how they are right now. Didn't you guys noticed that some easily broke down after problems today? Unlike before that people are like gladiators who gets up everytime they fall.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 13, 2023, 09:54:34 AM
Sometimes due to excitement specially when there're people hyping the site or promoting it, newbies tend to forget that not sometimes but every time you need to value your security first before doing the act of gambling. I have seen several gamblers online/offline doing the same thing as you've said OP and it makes me feel bored listening to them and trying to explain what they had joined. Some just ignore the ToS and would click the "I agree" button on the terms of agreement without even reading the important details.

Whenever I try to register to some sites, I usually ignore the unimportant details or skip it, but when it comes that it involves personal information and bank information, I won't skip the terms without fully understanding it, sometimes I even use google to simplify the terms coz sometimes there're sites that uses complicated words in their terms and conditions.

Way back it almost bit me when I did try to bet on an online E-sports tournament on a betting platform, I was a total newbie at that time and I only wanted to have fun by supporting my favorite team at the same time earn a quick few bucks. It was then I didn't expect that the withdrawal fee is relatively expensive, while I only put a little amount. That time it was my first time betting online on platform using cryptocurrency, and then I was shocked that my initial balance cannot be withdrawn coz there're limits as to how much is the withdrawal, so I have to bet more if I wanted to withdraw, what's more funny is that, I need to reach a certain betting threshold before I could unlock the withdraw button.
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 13, 2023, 07:48:32 AM
Here in my country there're times when my IP address just suddenly changed even though I've been using my gadget at the same place, but it's still acceptable coz it's within the country. If ever I'd be subjected to that kind of ban, I would never ever visit that platform again, coz who knows maybe they'll find another fault and accuse my device for illegal usage of IP or worst is that it'll be banned as a VPN user.

I have heard lots of my neighbors boasting about using VPN on different sites, some are even using it to play on different online casinos, but I didn't hear them complain because of banning. So far most of them are complaining due to losing because of their tempers not because of IP related issues.

Just as the others are saying maybe the platform doesn't have that much good reputation if just because of that they'll ban you even if you show much credentials claiming that it is your very own account. I remembered back 2017, there was also an issue similar to this and that platform immediately lose their customers/users and some potential investors.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is ageing and old people part of bitcoin? on: March 13, 2023, 03:55:35 AM
Looking at the current world parents don't like their children to be exposed to internet maybe because of their past experience of scam threats or they've trade something similar to bitcoin in the past.

Those parents that are educated knows that the world has changed and modernity has taken over the scheme of things, so their are percentage of old parents that are still going with the new technology. At least computers have been around for a while and the internet likewise is not new. The past experiences should not discourage people to run away from the internet rather sharing experience will make the children wiser.

Do you think our ageing parents are into crypto investment or trading?

Before bitcoin and cryptocurrency eleven years ago, there have been other types of trading like forex trading, stock and shares etc so cryptocurrency is just a new comer. Wiser parents eleven years ago are part of early adopters I should think so

If they're probably into crypto why are some of them advising their children to diseased from internet?

Intelligent parents can advise their children that are not of age to stay away from pornography on internet but not against financial independence on the internet.
Absolutely right! Older generations are also aware that the world is changing although it isn't that much felt but after experiencing the pandemic and the sudden change on the norm, it all felt clearly that the changes is leaning towards modernity.

Regarding the crypto related aspect, I should say that it's relatively a challenge to teach older generations and convince them to adopt to it, but only if there is an easier way to explain things such as crypto to them, I'm pretty sure there's not much hassle trying to tell them.

Even if we say that they are aware, not interested, or even hard to keep up with the knowledge, as pace of the changes right now, we could certainly say that it would only took a little bit of time for them to learn if you slowly tell them the basics and the important parts.

Based on my experience, my Grandma, who's 74 years old right now is already aware of the cyber related stuffs like facebook and some offline gaming apps. She even has her own ATM card that we personally made for her, but didn't even bother to use it not unless when she's in the mall. I'm also aware that not everyone is like that, but based on that alone there's a huge possibility that it may not be now but soon more and more old timers would learn the modernity.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto related jobs on: March 13, 2023, 03:01:09 AM
So if ever one of you guys know such jobs or sites, can you list me what's your favorite ones?

The main Job easy to get for Bitcoin is the Signatures campaigns in this forum, I don't have to describe how this work because you are already in one campaign, so, should be clear for all how it works.

Another Job that you can get for Bitcoin is Web development or APPs development, you can offer those services in the "Services" section of the forum, I have sold this kind of service to 2 users, and both of them were happy with my job.

And another job that you can get for cryptos is to work for a crypto site like casinos or exchanges... those options pay to their employees in BTC.

This is one of my go to options and also trying to learn more skills. Well, nowadays it's relatively easy to learn computer related skills if you just dive deeper into the internet. There are even short courses offered online and one google click, Alas! There's the courses you can choose from out of many.

I've noticed too that most job offers online are more on tech related stuffs. This is one thing I've noticed after visiting several job hiring communities online due to my friend asking for help, and yes some of them also offers to pay bitcoin but mostly they're either paying via e-wallets/fiats/banks and Paypal.

I'm also curious about jobs offered on crypto sites like casinos or exchanges as you've said coz mostly what they're hiring are more on technical side. I have seen even etherscan is hiring for web developers, content strategists and customer support specialists.

One thing I've proven in this thread is that, there are so many crypto related jobs that're reliable compared back then. Well, it's a no brainer knowing that the crypto industry is improving and moving forward, that's why there're so many opportunities online regarding crypto.

117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 13, 2023, 02:18:28 AM
Well, here in my country it is considered illegal playing street gamblings even if you are inside you're own house there's still a possibility that you'll be raided and get arrested.

There was this event happened about a week ago when one of my neighbors celebrated their birthday, and they were just playing mahjong for fun. The thing is after the birthday ended it was the day after that event, cops came in and took the table coz they were still playing, 4 got arrested and guess what's the penalty? $1k per head, and since there are 4 of them that makes it $4k in total.

The sad part is that they're only playing for fun and the overall money taken from that game is just measly $30, and worst is that they were taken into custody and had to stay inside the cell for 3 days and 2 nights, coz they need to gather enough money first to pay for the bail. It's just unfair if you think about it, coz there's no warning and they didn't even bother to warn them first.

Not only mahjong, but also games like bacarrat, roulette, and cards are all prohibited.
118  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does anyone knows real P2E game ? on: March 12, 2023, 02:01:20 PM
You will probably not find an established P2E game that you can play for free and still earn. You'll be required to spend at some point so you can upgrade your weapons or skills and be able to actually compete with other players. Your best bet is looking for new games but the catch is that you'll never really know if it's legit until you try it.

Not unless you'll be a part of their campaign before you'll get better benefits on P2E games. This is one of the reasons why most influencers try their hardest to promote the site or app they are using.

I have also once participated a P2E game by being a discord moderator and  earn some specil perks. To be honest nowadays its hard to participate in P2E games if you don't have anything to contribute on their platform, some requires tremendous effort just to receive benefits while some just need enough cash to receive special bonuses like a VIP.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: less risk or big profit? on: March 12, 2023, 04:15:25 AM
which real estate gonna give you tremendous return, I guess there are next to none mainly because those rich people that you're speaking about are having the good timing, back then real estate pricing wasn't this much inflated, surely the method of being rich has now changing so following the path of those rich means might not make you rich at all, right now it's all about being smart, basically smart enough to score some massive profit within short amount of time, and smart enough to know the opportunity, investing in project that's in technology is the way, real estate investment is when you're already rich enough, if you still have relatively small amount of money, there's very few way you could become rich honestly.
so forget about investing in real estate unless you're some kind of descendant of some rich parents, otherwise you're just wasting your time, but take it with grain of salt, after all that's just my 2 cents, it could be wrong.
It's exactly as you've described. In my country there aren't that many chances to join real estate business not unless you have big amount of money. They even offer REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST (REIT), for small time or regular people to participate in real estate business, but what's the catch? If you only depend on that initial investment for sure you'll only earn a little bit, so in short you still need to buy more if you have an extra cash to earn bigger stake of that company. It's just the same as usual like traditional investments.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: March 12, 2023, 01:52:43 AM
Opportunities are everywhere, but you also need to have determination because it is not that easy to earn money online, even though it is still good for us to get hired and just work from home, but our bosses are from other countries. Though this opportunity is only for those who have gadgets and have internet access, what worries me more are those people who are not computer literate and are relying on physical jobs since there are still companies that are not open right now and there are low hirings, so the unemployment rate is still high.

The opportunity that are everywhere isn't for everyone since not everybody learnt those skills that have job openings online. This is why we have to be prepared ourselves by getting educated on the trending things. Now that we have blockchain technology taking over, we should equiped ourselves with this knowledge so we can get the jobs when we see the opportunity.

Many people still don't understand this, the manual jobs are crowded and unavailable but this online jobs lack skillful workers and companies are out there looking and waiting on someone they can hire for the role, we just have to make ourselves available by shifting our attention to learning the skills needed to be hired for this online jobs.
Exactly as you say! Opportunities are everywhere? It's just a sarcastic way of telling you can do it as long as you do it. As you've said, not every opportunity is for everyone since not everyone has learnt that skills, aside from that each and every country depends on what job available for them.

I learn that the hard way while searching for jobs, and as I was looking for it, I was disappointed at the same time confused as to why there are different jobs offered for varying countries as well as the salary given. Of course that depends on someones strategy so one could still do side hustles that're available, and yes, I also did that just to earn extra coz they said "don't just talk and complain, you should work".

Yes there're so many job opportunities online, but are we sure that out resume are checked by the company? Mostly not, if your profile isn't something noteworthy, they'd just skip it even if you have the skills to do it. Not unless you have someone who can refer you.
