hahahahahahhahahaha

that's all I can say atm.

ok, I've calmed down a bit and to make this not an entire shitpost I'd say this:

Some economy we have here where the mere arrest of one prominent figure can make it tank 10%.

Citation required on 10% drop.

Citation also required on the correlation of the market drop and fundamental events.

This forum...

Wrong in 2 threads simultaneously? Usual Mucus.

I trade on btc-e where it was about 10%, and I don't think you'd get any different data than I did, now I didn't compare the exact times now if you care to nit pick and come with a figure of 9.123456789% go ahead.

Fair enough, I only checked Stamp and Gox.

You have to admit that 10% daily isnt that significant in BTC land however... 10% daily used to be the norm.

I still stand by statement of: "Citation also required on the correlation of the market drop and fundamental events."

The correlation has been proven by confirmed sources.  They are easy to google so I won't insult you by posting them.  Every time a confirmed bad news comes in we should expect further drops, as the power of the newses on the market are beginning to take hold, as I have confirmed.

 Grin Cool Grin Cool

Really nice to see you posting again proud

Also grade cricket please
Australia (2nd Test)
England (2nd Test)

The Australia-England match is a 5 day test. Day 1 is complete, but there are still 4 more to go. Once it is completed we will grade matches.

LOL, shows you how much I know about cricket...

18-4 on 1.1 -1000 bets is bad.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Bad = losing money.

Popular bets with 0 remaining make me sad.

Why is this possible?  I understand not wanting to get too lopsided on one side of a bet, but why not move the line/odds and continue to take more bets?

Aaaaaand its not going so well... could be a big win for you guys!

yea... I reckon the book just made a killing.  They certainly got a few units from me.

We hate to ever limit action, and we can understand how it can be frustrating. Our commitment is to always manage BitBook as responsibly as possible, and at times that means limiting our exposure, by decreasing a max. There are 3 ways that our limit can be pushed below 30 BTC:

  • For smaller events (for instance, many tennis matches), we may have lower limits.
  • For bigger events long before start time (i.e. when an event is first posted)
  • If one side of an event has a disproportionate amount of action (i.e. everyone is betting on the same team)

In the case of an event with 0 remaining, it must be the result of the 3rd possibility - a lot of action on 1 side.

We can see how it can be frustrating when an event has 0 remaining, and we will continue to work hard to limit the occurrences or this situation. We can look further into more aggressively moving lines to limit these occurrences. Thanks for the feedback.

Seems like you found the bet I was referring to as the line is moving and is available to bet now

Smiley thanks.

@SkR very interesting post with a solid mathematical grounding to the analysis. From a mathematical point of view is there ever a good reason to have a parlay over a couple of straight bets? I occasionally do them on games I'm pretty confident on, but is it better to place a larger set of single wagers?
