I also think this is a seriously good idea.  Imagine having a bitcoin laser tag room setup at something like CES, ComicCon, or a MLG tournament
1042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoinica has paid out the first day's interest! on: February 18, 2012, 04:11:54 PM
Why do you need to continue paying interest if you have no shortage of funds?
1043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its called a correction on: February 18, 2012, 03:30:01 AM

I am finding that this "system" is much better at choosing entry points than exit points.  Anyone else come to a similar conclusion?  Any ideas for a good exit indicator?

1046  Economy / Speculation / Re: The fact that bitcoins are $4.25 US is amazing. on: February 17, 2012, 12:13:42 AM
Actual question: How many other open source projects "have" $35 million?

Just off the top of my head... Linux, Android, Firefox, redhat, MySQL, Apache, Open Office, probably dozens or even hundreds more...

I wonder what price Bitcoin will be when it has the market penetration that any of those listed already have...

Actual question: How many other open source projects "have" $35 million?  How long did it take them to get that big?
1048  Economy / Goods / Re: Team Fortress 2 items on: February 17, 2012, 12:01:26 AM
I would sell my Scorching (green) Flames Spartan Helmet for 45 BTC
1049  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm calling a bottom too on: February 16, 2012, 11:58:24 PM
I've got my bitcoins.  Let's go.
Weekend, trading back in the mid 5s: "Everything went better than expected." Grin

Mid 5's = Everything went better than expected???

I'd say over 7 = Everything went better than expected!
1050  Economy / Speculation / Re: Investor Cycles & Emotions on: February 16, 2012, 07:05:35 PM
This chart is meaningless if the underlying asset that you're speculating on is an inherently poor investment vehicle, cough bitcoin cough...

?

The chart does not describe the asset.  The chart describes the group of people.

1055  Economy / Speculation / Re: steady selling pressure, should be at $3.00 very soon on: February 14, 2012, 10:11:22 PM
We going to be going down pretty low. (...) Remember, bitcoins were almost at $1 just a month or so ago.

Yea well Ive been saying for a while now that @ $5+ is way over-valued. I suspect that eventually its value will drop to $2 or so (maybe less in the long term) but there will be a LOT of ups & downs in price (and profit to be made) before we get to that level.

1059  Economy / Speculation / Re: Starting to sense pessimism... on: February 14, 2012, 01:39:56 PM

Patience is the key. Bitcoinica orders are all filling in nicely. I sense a distinct speculation forum mood change... I wonder how far down we'll go... I wonder if I have orders low enough Smiley

Is there any reading material related to this cycle?  How often do markets break this cycle?
1060  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitscalper anyone use this ? [PASSWORDS LEAKED] on: February 13, 2012, 10:10:48 PM
I may have missed this somewhere... but is there a list of user names that were leaked?  I cant remember if I even signed up an account for this site and I would like to double check.
