I have a lot of these in the logs and the wallet is maxing out the CPU.
Is this during the initial sync or it just appeared on a node that is running 24/7? Checked all my nodes, nothing out of the usual in the logs... Edit: Are you running version 1.4? It's a 24/7 node and it started maybe a few days ago. 1.4 wallet. I found that if I replace my wallet.dat (3.1MB) with a new wallet the CPU usage is down to 8-14%.
Guess the wallet has too many orphans its trying to process or something.Edit: scratch that, it's back even on a new wallet with no transactions. ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK 3586, prev=b485236ec1c461b233b63f395eb05571b0f67b92a4f90d5162599e5b759e5ecd ERROR: AcceptToMemoryPool : nonstandard transaction: non-final I just did a complete resync of my wallet (I wiped the data dir, excluding wallet.dat). Sync took around one hour, lots of orphans during sync but nothing out of the usual. After sync the cpu usage dropped to nothing and nothing unusual in the debug log. Can you try resyncing, and delete peers.dat too.

Why not just OC. SomethingCoin is so not in anymore. Since Kim is nowhere to be seen its clearly up to the community to keep this running. If anyone wants to commit anything this is a clone of the original git repo. https://github.com/CryptoAdventures/OC so if someone wants to commit some changes go ahead. As someone said above: - new logo - drop the onecoin shit I really dont have time to do much these days. Maybe we ask @logocreator to do a nice logo and ann if we raise some btc to at least tip him or who know maybe he does it pro bono. All this talk is cheap. Do something. Setup a node. commit changes, make a new logo, donate for blockexplorer https://chainz.cryptoid.info/oc/#!crypto Cheers. I vote for OC too! Like staysecure I have enough on my plate atm, but I can recompile the windows client with a new logo and change the name in the source once the users/holders/miners reach some kind of consensus here or on slack or whatever. It maybe takes an hour of my time, but can make a significant difference down the line if this change goes through I am not a big holder here, and just one cheap gpu running on this, so maybe the whales should decide lol A new ANN would also be good

I think this coin needs to rebrand. Coinmarketcap seems not to want to add it due to the fact that most people immediately associate it with the scammy pozni scheme mentioned before. Call it Two Coin for what I care, but seriously..to be considered to be added to bigger exchanges etc this needs to happen and is probably the easiest thing to do as a community in regards of further development of the project. Don't count on Kim to move this, it's up to us really, but perhaps there isn't enough will and resources to contribute since there are like 3 or 4 people mining it.
I suggested OpenCoin a few pages back. Does that exist already? I think its a good name since the ticker matches... That's a nice name. https://opencoin.org/ exists but seems long abandoned. We could go with it. Matches the idea of Open Source Community, since there is no DEV team here Opencoin used to be the name of the company behind Ripple, but they changed it to Ripple Labs inc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ripple_(company) Well by the first look, OpenCoin seems to be a free name to use? Edit: What about just calling it OC, so it does not have an actual name? Then if someone asks you say that it stands for Open Coin and that it used to be One Coin...etc. Might be more useful and universal if you think of the whole world were most people do not speak english... Just thinking out loud here

My "private" pool if anyone wants to join: https://pool.hashcash.pro/Fee is 0.5 % I am still testing things so dont expect 100% uptime. I am interested to join your private pool, I don't have enough GPU, I used NVIDIA GTX 1080 -> 720 MH/s only, it is worthy? I found 2 block in 1 hour time with my GTX1080 at suprnova. How long the payout one? every hour? NOTE: Please allow diff for CPU Miners to 0.001. Thanks. I think that is more than enough. The payouts are set to every minute. But this coin has a long maturity, 250 blocks, so after a block is found you will be payed about one day later...

Hello,
i had sent invitations for the slack, come in the slack to be informed about the situation And see the new plan to promote ZOIN
we try to contact dev ZOMAN and wait an answer.
Why don't you post a public invite link?

Hi everyone! I'm starting new tests for my Raspberry PI node... I'm using a very precise signal generator to run my RPI replacing the generic Crystal Oscillator with this good one, my tests show good results for overclock too. But i need some ways to tests this experiment, if all runs with success i will try to keep this node running for a long time (it was in a electronics research lab what i work), this signal generator have an rubidium oscillator internally, what makes the generated signal very precise, please someone knows some way to test if the node is really good (i already have done some stress tests with success). The setup is:
-Raspberry Pi model B; -SMB 100A Rohde & Schwarz Signal / Microwave generator; -Raspbian Jessie with 4.9.24+ RT kernel; -BNC cable to transport the signal to RPI board; -100MB Bandwidth connection but the RPI 1 limits to 10MB/s the BW; -700MHz to 1033MHz overclocked BCM2835 CPU.
-> In the future I will start to play with RPI 3 Model B+, but for now RPI 1 sounds ok. -> The node IP is 143.107.228.226 - Running client v1.4.0 and staking ok.
Thats all folks! xD
Beautiful For a start I would check how the CPU handles new blocks, use a CPU usage logger or just htop and monitor what happens when a new block flies in. In this setup that is the only bottleneck I could see. Also limit the number of connections to keep the ram usage down (maybe around 20). Once the pi starts swapping to the sd card its performance drops considerably...

I've tried many times to contact the new dev (zoman), but none of them success. Do you think what should I do to support this coin as a dev? Writing and publishing a GPU miner should help?
Most help would be that you fix the zerocoin mint function that is broken with zoin + address the wallet being stuck so often. This wallet will not sync from scratch right now, without the separate blockchain download it does not work. So addressing these issues would be better and useful then developing a GPU miner. I do not understand zoman though, everything could be copy pasted from zcoin that successfully fixed this, its the same code (apart from the hashing algorithm). You are absolutely right. Could you possibly advise from your experience what we should do in this case (ie. the 2nd dev remains silence and no contact back to the community)? I love this coin but I am really worry about the situation. I have some bad experience in the past, the dev are too busy and no time to develop the coin, and the coin dead because there would be no improvement and development at all. From my experience this whole website with the countdown might have been just a way for a large bagholder to unload the coins and now he is gone. For now its a stalemate, I think nobody that can read C++ and understand this code is a serious holder of ZOIN. So even if someone wanted to fix this that has the knowledge he/she has no incentive to do it. One solution would be a multisig address where people deposit some zoin as a reward to the developer that would have the knowledge to fix this. "crowdfund" a developer in a way... The other way is to wait a bit longer, this zoman guy might really be serious and he might reappear...

Are you serious, how was the price better? Its around 7$ now, and it was around 0.5 - 3 $ when it was CPU only... http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/zcoin/And why do you say it can not be mined with a GPU? Just because nobody made a miner (public) yet does not mean it is resistant to GPUs. It is as simple as patching the existing lyra2rev kernel to make a GPU compatible. I like zoin and I think it can be a good competition to zcoin. But what you are saying makes no sense here... I've tried many times to contact the new dev (zoman), but none of them success. Yes, the price is very low, but I do not see any better coin which can be mined only with CPU now. I was mining Nexus but after adding the possibility to mine also with GPU it doesn't make sense to continue with CPU. And zoin pool seems to be stable now, so I'm continuing mining this coin.
Well price of Zcoin (first of zerocoin protocol) was better before thay swaped to gpu, after price dropped lower. But Zoin is not going to be mined with gpu so we can expect that price can grow high. By the way Zcoin was whole community of devs, supporters, advertising groups and etc. Right now we are only a hand full of supporters here and a small group of devs. But I think together we can make it succeed. Its sha256 t (triple sha256) not sha256 d (double sha256). No ASICs exist for this algo, it is not the same algo as bitcoin...

Anyone else stuck at block 85989?
Restarting the node gives a bunch of "process orphan block" spam and then just sits there..
Any other way out of this than a complete resync?
I stuck too at block 85989!!! What to do? 1. stop wallet 2. Delete these in the zoin datadir: blocks chainstate database peers.dat 3. download this and extract it inside the zoin data dir: https://github.com/zoincoin/zoin/releases/download/v0.8.7.5/zoin-blockchain-170403.zip4. start the wallet and wait till it resyncs 5. if the balance is incorrect, run the wallet with --rescan

For me sync fine My nodes in zoin.conf file: addnode=172.248.182.97 addnode=176.36.67.246 addnode=178.151.216.35 addnode=189.165.157.58 addnode=192.136.197.49 addnode=212.90.41.182 addnode=217.77.59.45 addnode=31.42.229.81 addnode=37.59.10.238 addnode=46.18.47.191 addnode=52.173.131.246 addnode=62.80.175.214 addnode=73.93.152.181 addnode=73.93.152.193 addnode=73.93.153.21 addnode=73.93.155.109 addnode=73.93.155.137 addnode=73.93.155.157 addnode=79.165.56.89 addnode=83.170.206.254 addnode=94.142.234.39 addnode=95.67.111.218 addnode=177.22.121.206 addnode=196.200.176.67 addnode=197.230.5.18 addnode=203.87.129.131 addnode=208.94.242.218 addnode=217.175.119.125 addnode=45.50.48.252 addnode=46.39.231.51 addnode=70.199.134.27 addnode=72.185.23.235 addnode=91.121.170.218 addnode=93.91.115.90 I deleted the blockchain data and now it synced to the best chain. Guess I got stuck on some fork... + I had to run zoind rescan to show the correct balance... funny thing is, now "listtransactions" lists transactions out of order lol, but anyway, it works now

Well if we get rid of that tail emision price could get over 20k for zoin for sure. And also dumpers need to wait some time.
What do you mean by tail? How is it actually working right now? Ok, I see in @zoman post. So is it producing 10% more coins every year after 21 mio checkpoint is reached? like: 1-st year: 21*1,1 * 1e6 2-nd year 21*1,1^2 * 1e6 3-rd year 21*1,1^3 * 1e6 and so on.. I made a calculation: (for the first 5 years) And note that the schedule is a bit off, the network was choppy in the beginning, making the average block time longer. If the average was 150 seconds the whole time, we would have 9504000 ZOI in circulation today. If the dev reduces the tail emission down to 1% it will be much better...10 is too much IMO

Does any one know how to create masternode, any dev here? There is a thing that we could use masternodes with Zoin.
What do you mean? The zerocoin protocol is completely different from the masternode model...
