341  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB: Weller WLC100 Soldering Iron + Tips on: March 07, 2013, 11:23:07 PM
That's why I'm looking for one. Wink I have some video card voltage mods to do, and I there is no way I am even going to try the more delicate stuff with a $15 Radio Shack iron.
342  Economy / Goods / Re: WTB: Weller WLC100 Soldering Iron + Tips on: March 07, 2013, 05:25:05 AM
Bumping this thread. I'm no longer looking for someone to purchase one through amazon. If anyone has a nice soldering station though, I am interested and will pay in BTC.
343  Economy / Goods / Re: Looking for coca seeds on: March 07, 2013, 05:06:55 AM
Am I missing something here? We're talking about the caco used in chocolate making, right? Why would the legality of caco seeds be in question..?  Huh

I hope you find what you're looking for. If there are some members on here from central/south America, they will probably have access to the seeds.
344  Bitcoin / Mining support / Low Reported Hashrate with LTC mining on: March 07, 2013, 04:16:44 AM
I'm not 100% sure if this is the place to put a thread like this (pools section, or alt. currencies section), but either way I hope you fellas can help me out.

I just recently switched over to LTC mining on my remaining GPU's because the BTC difficulty has been going no where but up. I've got a 5850 and a 5830 running. Together they report 550-600khash/sec, which I've seen to be in the ball park of where they should be at roughly stock clocks. I'm mining with cgminer 2.10.5, and the pool I'm using is notroll.in. So the mining end of the operation appears to be working flawlessly. However, when I check my account details and such at the pool's website, I have never seen a reported hashrate over 125khash/s. This issue was happening when I mined at litecoinpool.org as well. According to the calculator on their sites, I should be in the neighborhood of 15LTC/day. But I've been 3-4LTC/day instead, so the hashrate online isn't being reported wrong.

I was wondering if anyone else had seen this, or if they had any ideas on how to fix this. Thanks in advance!

Aseras, no thank you for now. If I can't find anything I might get in touch with you.

Gomeler, will do. I've seen you around a few places and I'll let you know.
348  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] High-end Gaming-type Video Cards on: March 05, 2013, 09:46:49 PM
Along with bitcoins, one of my other hobbies is sub-zero overclocking of computer components. There is a site which tracks points and submissions with various pieces of hardware (www.hwbot.org). Because of the wide array of hardware out there, I'd like to gather some points for myself. With that said, I thought I would come to you guys for some of the cards I am looking for:

-Reference 7970's (please don't offer abused mining cards) that I could hopefully RMA if need be.
-"Suped up" 7970's, which include, but are not limited to the MSI 7970 Lightning and Asus 7970 Matrix Edition.
-"Suped up" GTX680's, again, include but not limited to EVGA 680 Classified and MSI 680 Lightning.
-"Suped up" GTX580's. For this one, I am only looking for Asus 580 Matrix, or MSI 580 Lightning cards.
-Any cards that you think I might want because they are slightly older gaming graphics cards.

I can pay via Bitcoin or Dwolla, I have a bit of rep on this site (but I haven't made a thread to track it all yet), and I also have a Heatware account here: http://heatware.com/eval.php?id=66694
I am a well established member at quite a few computer forums (the main one being www.overclockers.com/forums where I have almost 8,500 posts).
Feel free to ask questions, offer cards you think I'd be interested in, or just drop in with some information.

Thanks in advance!

In light of the litecoin bubble, the price is now $295 shipped to 60190 for nice reference 7970's.

Are the visiontek 7970's reference cards? I'm interested in a couple of them.

What's the nearest "big city" in the western burbs. I would say Wheaton or Naperville are closest to me...

I'm in Naperville  Cheesy

Ohhh. I might want to grab this. I'm in Winfield. :hide:
354  Other / Off-topic / Re: Intel's Market Cap below Qualcomm on: January 21, 2013, 11:12:29 PM
I don't know about any long cons, but Intel is definitely not doing poorly, and it's not because of any handheld market crap. Intel released their 3D transistors early in 2012, and their power consumption has dropped dramatically. In fact, anyone who follows Moore's Law is aware that Intel's latest steps have outpaced Moore's Law by quite a bit. On top of that, they are getting primed to released IB-E, which will blow current tech out of the water in terms of raw computational power, and power efficiency...

Now that I mention it, maybe it is a long con. Wink

Another bump. Hopefully I can find something.  Smiley
356  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] - Liquid Nitrogen Dewar (Taylor Wharton, Union Carbide, Linde) on: January 12, 2013, 12:25:12 AM
I assume you are looking for a used dewar and not new.

If you want a new dewar, I have several sales reps from various companies that usually give me much better pricing than what is listed.
Many of them are restricted on selling to private individuals, but in the past, some have helped me acquire equipment for personal use, with the better pricing.

I am looking used, but if I could find a new dewar in my price range for around the cost of a used dewar, then I would definitely be up for that. Would you mind sending me a PM to discuss this a bit more?

If not, then BUMP!
