Dec 18 2015
ROKOS v3 "core" (BTC OK) - DOWNLOAD

Steps for first boot

a) Login with user: root   password: raspberry    (*security note: only use the root account to make this steps, do not use clients on root)
b) Open Terminal, type:  raspi-config
c) Set your Time Zone and Expand the file system, restart.
After restart the system will auto log to the pi user desktop.

Welcome to the ROKOS Desktop

Security Steps
Pi and root accounts default passwords:  raspberry

*note: Remember that on terminal the password will not be displayed as you type it; there are no Windows-style * symbols representing the letters. Instead, it will appear that you haven’t entered a password. This is a security feature to prevent people guessing the length of your passphrase. Just type the password regardless.

Open a terminal and change the password of "Pi" and "root" accounts with this commands

sudo passwd
(write your new password, this will change the password of Pi, the main use account)

su root
enter password:  raspberry

passwd
(write your new password, this will change the password for the root account)

exit
(leaves root account and goes back to Pi account)

exit or close the terminal window

RESTART the system one last time so it can start with correct configurations. (correct mount of tmp for the tech savy)

Final steps / BTC and OK Clients

a) OK: Go to Menu > Internet and Click on the OKCash Wallet

This will open the OKCash wallet, give it some minutes for the initial setup, OK Chain is Synced so it will be ready for use in the next minutes.

b) Go to Menu > Internet and Click on the Bitcoin Wallet

This will open the Bitcoin wallet with the option to select where we will be saving the BTC chain.

*For BTC the initial sync will take some days, wallets are fully usable after being fully Synchronized.

b) Make a backup of your wallets and save in USB or external media.

Use your Bitcoin wallet to plug HW and mine BTC, Send/Receive BTC cryptocurrency, become a full node and support the Bitcoin newtork, etc.

Use your OKCash wallet to Stake/Mine OK, Send/Receive OK cryptocurrency, send and receive private messages with other OK users, etc.

Important Security Notice:
Remember to create a backup for your Wallets, you can use the wallets to create them and save in different folders on a USB device.
You should ALWAYS have a backup of your wallet, Raspberry Pi Hardware, Raspbian and ROKOS Software are under development hence not responsible for missuses, electrical or compatibility issues that might cause a loss of information. It is as secure as one's ability to take care for it, same as a computer, so always have a backup of your wallets on an external device.

You can start testing and developing new integration with the Bitcoin and OKCash Tech for your IoT projects.

IS there a problem with the site?

I cannot see any wallets or balance...

All good, enter with https://staisybit.com  and you will see it correctly,
the issue is a missing www to non-www redirection that the team is already aware and will be fixing soon (because SSL).
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [OK] OKCash | Cryptsy #1 | POS 20% | Multicultural | Staisybit | Instant Sync on: December 15, 2015, 10:05:58 PM
Anyone connected?  I sent out 5K okcash, but my wallet isn't syncing @ 97%

I'm running 3.0.0.3, should I just make a copy of my wallet.dat, update, and move it to 3.0.0.4?

Just copy over the okcash.exe from 3.0.0.4 over the old one and done!

What do you mean, 'copy the 3.0.0.4 exe over the old one'?

I've already sent my coins, but they're in limbo because of the update - so I don't know if I should copy my wallet.dat or not.  Won't the new okcash.exe begin an installation procedure?

Close your wallet.

Download the new 3.0.0.4  zip folder, unzip and replace your okcash.exe with the new one from the download.

Start your OKCash wallet, Done.

The only one that starts an installation procedure is the one that has "Installer" on its name.

Thanks for the explanation - but I'm still not getting any connections!  What gives?  Do I need to edit something, or add nodes somehow?

You must of got banned by some of the nodes because you were using a lower version, they should be cleared in 24rhs,
meanwhile you can try adding nodes from https://bitnodes.net/node/185-81-165-13/ to catch some where you are not banned
and get the connections.

.....New ROKOS v3 "core" requires for Old ROKOS wallets to re-sync (wallet needs db update),
to avoid this step send your coins from previous ROKOS versions to a new address
and then you can transfer them back to your new ROKOS v3 "core" wallet.
ROKOS v3 "core" wallet for OKCash comes already in Sync with an upgraded wallet ready for use.

More info on release.

If we all download same ROKOS v3 linux image for RPI we will all have same default wallet.dat file with same private and public keys? Did i miss something here?
Keep in mind that i did not try it so i dont know how exactly you did the wallet implementation.

ROKOS does not come with wallets, it creates a new wallet for every new user that downloads it and use it.

There is all the info in the ROKOS thread. And already ton of feedback on the ROKOS ann. Feel free to visit to learn more.

Sorry. I totally forgot that that thread exists. I usually monitor this one only for new updates. Thank you for clarifying that part. It had me bit confused. I'll check out that thread for more info.

Nothing to be sorry about, new users might had the same doubt, always glad to help.

Here is a direct link to the ROKOS ann: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1084908.0

New version is getting released this week.(core version: Bitcoin and OKCash)
"Flavors" version will release after, including any other cryptocurrency
supported by their communities and devs that make the request.

Hey

I'm trying to install MetalCoin from:  https://github.com/Metalde/MetalCoin

but whenever i do "./autogen.sh" it comes back with "bash: ./autogen.sh: no such file or directory"

i've got the git hub files cloned to ~/bin/MetalCoin

am i missing anything?

thanks in advance

sani

Try it like it OKtoshi wrote:

- git clone http://[githubofaltcoin]

- cd altcoin

- cd src

- make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=-

maybe you also need to make: mkdir obj

I did the commands you mentioned,
the mkdir obj says it already exists,
but when i try "make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=" it comes back with "zerocoin/Accumulator.cpp:106:1: fatal error: opening dependency file obj/zerocoin/Accumulator.d: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
makefile.unix:205: recipe for target 'obj/zerocoin/Accumulator.o' failed
make: *** [obj/zerocoin/Accumulator.o] Error 1"

i can't make anything of the error as i'm only used to .deb files and the apt-get install command

You are missing:

- make a directory    obj/zerocoin

Should compile after creating that directory, cheers

Wonderful news!
Thank you!

Yw,  Feel free to give a test to InstantOKchain for windows, It makes the first sync process last minutes,
should give a better experience to new users, same as cutting times for new setups.

I know you are a big fan of ROKOS, I am working in the v3 pretty excited all looking good, will just include Bitcoin and OKCash
I would love to share a new ROKOS with at least 10 different clients, but as there has not been funding, hence no time for it
I have to prioritize over OK and BTC, in the future we will set up a voting page, so other coins can get added based on their
communities support and donations if they really are interested in taking part in the project.

The Pi community will love the new ROKOS, we had an OS update so we are using new bases with more features, more details on release.

New PR release starting to get shared by different media networks.

OKCash: The Future of Social Payments

10 December 2015 -- OKCash has started a new propensity in the cryptocurrency world, by infusing a positive vibe into its design and code and empowering the users.

For Immediate Release:

December 10, 2015: OKCash technology is a new form of money that is digital and can be connected directly between users without the need of bank accounts or it can be traded for physical money. Digital cash is considered as one of the best social payments options for the future, whether for use in regular retail setting or to take part in electronic business over the web or it can be used in the development of sharing economies.

Bitcoin is one of the first digital monetary forms that can be used on the web and is not managed by a central bank and has its own made-up principles. Bitcoin is recognized as the best known digital currency that depends on computer networks to resolve complicated encryption algorithms, in order to verify and record the details of every transaction made.

Similar to Bitcoin, OKCash is new cryptocurrency that was introduced in November 2014. Since the beginning OK has revealed a unique interest among the users and aims to make the coin widely available and user friendly for the community. OKCash has started a new propensity in the cryptocurrency world, by infusing a positive vibe into its design and code and empowering the users.

OKCash has been referred to as "The future for Social Payments" and it has one of the most powerful social presences in the cryptocurrency environment. An unparalleled level of security is possible with OKCash. It is made to authorize and allow its users to have complete control over their money. By using this cryptocurrency, secure payments are possible without slow and expensive middlemen. An OKCash transaction can be more cost-effective than its alternatives and be finished in a shorter time.

OKCash OK is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls OKCash and everyone can take part.

About The Technology:
OKCash is a new cryptocurrency that uses Proof of Stake technology which means there is no need for special equipment or high energy bills to pay as it happens with most cryptocurrencies, thus making OKCash long term sustainable and energy friendly. For more information visit http://okcash.co/

C-CEX:
OKcash [OK]  Marked for delisting  10.12.2015

Wallet status:
block count: 531257 (Date/Time 2015-12-06 11:30:25)
wallet: v3.0.0.2-g
status: Out of sync

"The following coins will be removed from exchange if their average daily trading volume for last 30 days will not exceed 0.2 BTC. It will not be possible to retrieve these coins after the removal date. Removal date and coin list: 10.12.2015 ... ... "

How to withdraw coins from C-CEX?

They got the update notice to v3.0.04 as soon as it came out, Ive just contacted eu-Robert and will share with Yuri to have it updated today in some hours so everyone can withdraw their coins.

Edit: They already updated the wallet and they are giving one extra week for the users to withdraw.

Pretty soon I should be able to offer translation to Serbian if desired, could do it myself but don't want to commit when is my busy time at work.

Going to push OK into Serbian Universities and High Schools, when my newly hired dev brothers get up and running in the next few weeks/months. I could really see OK being used for social payments in a teenage education environment, the coin is cool and light hearted on the outside while being serious in the tech department.

All out assault on 2016 - The Year of the Crypto.

Sounds awesome, let me know when you get the time so we can get it done, every language is OK.

Thanks for the response

yw

yes i just retried that but still no go sorry and i had win 8....thx

The wallet is tested over All Windows flavors working with out issue,
so it must be an issue specific to your system which could have different causes like firewalls or different software configurations.

Make sure okcash.exe is authorized over the firewall or protection software you might have, else

Please provide more info or join us at IRC channel #okcash over freenode and send me a PM to help you with it.

New wallet has fixed the sync issue for me...I am using win 8.1...saw few stakes already

Glad to hear, thanks for the feedback Mr bit

anyone having lags getting coins from trex and sending to trex?

Cryptopia, CryptoID explorer already updated, Bittrex and the rest should be updated in the coming hours,

that is the reason your coins have not been sent yet as their wallet is not moving until they update to the latest wallet.

Everyone has the update notification already so pls give it some hours, after they update all transactions should take seconds like always.
