I'm auctioning off my signature. I make on average around 50 posts per month. The rules for this auction are: - No NSFW content.
- No scams or shady businesses.
- No [glow] tags.
- I have the right to reject bids or advertisements. You can offer a different one of course.
- I have the right to shorten, extend, restart or cancel the auction at any point in time.
- If a user's rank is lower than Member and the bid increase (compared to the last valid bid) is bigger than 0.005 BTC, he has to send in the bid (or the increase if it's not the user's first bid) to 3PL5BStNmwzn8YfEfx4NX2vm5ZYgyeJ92c or the bid is invalid. If the user in question doesn't win the auction, the bid amount minus the miner fee (may vary; depends on current state of Bitcoin) will be sent back.
- If the service turns out to be a scam, I'll remove the ad and your money will not be refunded.
- The auction winner must provide payment and the signature ad code within 48 hours of a request via PM.
- Your signature will have an "Advertisement: " text before it, a notice and should fit within the following example:

The minimum bid is 0.02 BTC, the bids should be evenly divisible by 0.005 BTC. The auction will end on May 22nd when this thread is closed if there is at least 1 valid bid. If there isn't one, it'll end 3 days after the first valid bid is placed. The winner's advertisement will run for 1 month. Examples for both valid and invalid bids: 0.02 BTC <------- VALID

I was looking for a way to earn online a year ago and found an article about mining bitcoins. Then I researched it a bit and forgot about it until now.
Didn't really join for any political reasons - I liked tech, self-sustaining systems, money, business and discussions. Bitcoin combined the first 3, while Bitcointalk finished off with the last 2. It's strange - I recall the number of years I've been here as well as a vague timeline of events I've gone through. But only when I start digging through old posts is when I grasp how much things have changed, both in general as well as on a personal level. Some for better, some for worse. But that's life for ya, I guess. |

That's great, thank you! I've also spotted some modifications that could be made to the Wallet software description, like adding Hardware wallets and removing the part about Multibit since that's already an archived section.
Also, a minor one is that the Technical Support section has been renamed more specifically to Bitcoin Technical Support.

makes sense, but this pretty much how the Altcoin mining section looks atm, it's a mixture of mining software / hardware and support ,each could very likely make +50% at any given time ( rotating ) Bitcoin mining has 5 child boards and all of them are pretty alive, the logic states the alt mining should have the same number of child boards at worst case scenario. I don't think drawing parallels between the Bitcoin section would convince theymos - in the end, he's the one who decides whether a board gets created. If, on a consistent basis, there's a subset of topics dominating the board, you're free to PM theymos with the proof and maybe he'll create a new board. |

Unless a subset of possible board topics is dominating the front page (+50% of topics on the front page belong to said subset), it's highly unlikely that it'll have a sub-section created for it. Not much point in creating a board that will be dead on arrival.

I've mostly used BCT, though (while some may dislike it) I do think BTT rolls off the tongue pretty well (as well as being more distinct, at least when comparing it to the Bitcoin ticker symbol (BTC)). IMO BTCT is a bit too long of an acronym - once I've typed out more than 3 letters, I might as well type out the forum name in full.
