Temp banned all of his unbanned accounts and extended the ban on the banned one.
If you don't mind telling, how long are Wapinter and Wapinter Bounty Portal banned for?
I have strong expectation they'll be back with one of their alt accounts (or another new account) before those bans are lifted.
60 days.
743  Other / Meta / Re: [Ban Evasion] Wapinter (u=527272), WBP (u=2094446) [& btvGainer (u=550869)] on: June 21, 2018, 12:00:27 AM
Temp banned all of his unbanned accounts and extended the ban on the banned one.

Question for the moderator that eventually reads this thread:
How are ban evasions handled with shared accounts. In a regular ban scenario, a user is banned (as a person) and thus all their accounts are banned.
If an account with shared access from users X gets banned, are all users affected by this ban, or is just the user that caused the ban (thus violated forum rules) banned together with their shared account.
If so, how is it determined which user is affected by/included in the ban.

tl;dr: Does Wapinter get a free pass to evade their ban here due to the fact they gave access to their bounty account to other users or are they held responsible for the actions made in their name?

AFAIK it's on a case by case basis. In this case, the primary owner of the account is apparent so he's the one responsible.

so, if we take down any messages we might have forgotten and comply with the no incentivising posting then can the ann be reopened again??
If none of the material (outdated or current) incentivizes posting, yeah, the thread's fine in that regard.

that one was the only one (forgotten there) incentivizing posting in our ANN thread.
you can search everywhere in our Discord.
Well, it just takes one to fill a thread with thousands of incentivized shit-posts.

This is all understandable completely, but as stated we paid for our mistakes and removed any type of requirement of posts, any incentives of posting on our thread.

It was clearly our mistake to not delete DEAD/DONE giveaways from weeks ago that arent active, that did incentive posting in the thread.

Since then, we had our original ANN deleted. We created a new one and created it to follow all of the rules.

As far as I can see the rule we broke now is by leaving an OLD MESSAGE on our discord for an inactive giveaway. Nothing current, and there will never be any incentive to posting in our thread. We are trying to run a legitimate airdrop program and require no minimum posting and no posts in our thread AT ALL

Do we now have to create another new ANN?

Again, we know we messed up in the beginning and paid for that by losing our first ANN thread. We readjusted everything to properly go with Bitcointalk.org TOS, and now have our 2nd ann removed due to a post from weeks ago.  These posts are gone and again, there will NEVER be any incentive to posting in OUR thread.

Can we please have our thread reopened as we have deleted any OLD message and we are playing by the rules?
Your old thread will not be restored. So, yeah, you're going to have to repost it.

It was a PREVIOUS MISTAKE... the giveaway is done and overwith weeks ago.

Our first ANN got deleted, and we've played by the book since then.

We had to create a new one from scratch, and now it gets deleted again due to a non-active giveaway?

We already paid the price for that, why delete us again for an old mistake.

Again there was never any incentive to posting in the NEW ANN and will never be any incentive for users to post there.
If the message (that's now gone, finally) was left up, new threads would continue to get trashed. Doesn't matter you made a new one if all the incentive spammers see the message and flock to the newest one.

Why would they flock to a giveaway that isnt even open, active or available. There was no channel to even post "proof" for that giveaway as it was CLOSED weeks ago.  The message was posted 6/02 nobody flocked to anything based on that message.
Because, in practice, that's what they do - go in, see an incentive, do the task and if they don't have a place to post their proof, they pick one at random. At this point I've seen it happen dozens of times.

You're a mod and I respect your decisions.
But this is not fair against a new cryptocoin that is trying to do its best.
We already had an ANN deleted with no reasons at all, and we strictly prohibited to our users to spam in our new ANN thread.
We are also NOT requiring any post in our thread from 4 months. (apparently we did at the start, it was an error)
I don't know where you found that message, but I can assure you no one is watching at it anymore!!
You can search everywhere in our discord, we DON'T require messages in our ANN!
AFAIK this is the first time I deleted the project's ANN. No idea who did it the first time.

If I'm not mistaken, the message was quoted in a post made on June 6th, two weeks ago. Not exactly 4 months. The fact that, despite the warnings plastered all around, the project ran an altcoin giveaway gives me no reason to feel sympathy for the "new cryptocoin".

From the project's Discord:

Quote
@everyone post good message in our official BTT ANN thread and share a proof here with your PRiV address and you will get 5 PRiV Share proof in #deleted-channel (one claim per person

Seems like a pretty clear incentive to me.

That was from 2-3 weeks ago, for our OLD ANN that got deleted... and a single giveaway to only limited # of users.

Nothing like that has been posted since.
Yet a quote to it is still at the top of one of the giveaway related channels.

#deleted-channel

means it is not active anymore. did you look when it was posted? 06/02/18  Undecided
we already got a deleted ANN probably for that. In the new ANN we didn't break any rule.
Yet the message itself is still up. I've seen countless of clueless users interpret even more unrelated rules as a requirement to post on a topic.

If the usual money-hungry bounty hunter can interpret it as an incentive to post, I will as well.

The message is not there? Ive personally tried searching for it.

I dont know where this information is coming from.
It just got wiped. Was there 5-10 minutes ago.

757  Economy / Auctions / Signature space - Global Moderator - 5800+ posts - around 100 posts/month on: June 08, 2018, 10:05:02 PM
I'm auctioning off my signature. I make on average around 100 posts per month. The rules for this auction are:

  • No NSFW content.
  • No scams or shady businesses.
  • No [glow] tags.
  • I have the right to reject bids or advertisements. You can offer a different one of course.
  • I have the right to shorten, extend, restart or cancel the auction at any point in time.
  • If a user's rank is lower than Member and the bid increase (compared to the last valid bid) is bigger than 0.01 BTC, he has to send in the bid (or the increase if it's not the user's first bid) to 3PL5BStNmwzn8YfEfx4NX2vm5ZYgyeJ92c or the bid is invalid. If the user in question doesn't win the auction, the bid amount minus the miner fee (may vary; depends on current state of Bitcoin) will be sent back.
  • If the service turns out to be a scam, I'll remove the ad and your money will not be refunded.
  • The auction winner must provide payment and the signature ad code within 48 hours of a request via PM.
  • Your signature will have an "Advertisement: " text before it, a notice and should fit within the following example:

Quote

Advertisment:
<Advertisement here>
|  Some sort of
|  text of mine
  |  Websites advertised in my signature are not endorsed by me.
  |  Advertise in my signature

The minimum bid is 0.03 BTC, the bids should be evenly divisible by 0.01 BTC. The auction will end on June 28th when this thread is closed if there is at least 1 valid bid. If there isn't one, it'll end 3 days after the first valid bid is placed. The winner's advertisement will run for 1 month.

Examples for both valid and invalid bids:
Quote
0.03 BTC <------- VALID
0.02 BTC <------- INVALID, lower than minimum bid

0.04 BTC <------- VALID
0.035 BTC <------- INVALID, bid is not evenly divisible by 0.01 BTC

0.10 BTC <------- VALID
0.2556642 BTC <------- INVALID,  bid is not evenly divisible by 0.01 BTC

P.S. Custom offers (that DO NOT include me removing either of the advertisement notices ("Advertisment:") or ("Websites advertised in my signature are not endorsed by me.") ) are welcome via PM though keep in mind that the price of advertising will be much higher.
