transfer it to your bank account as soon as you can then, because I'd rather have my money in a furnace and hand a 4 year old the on and off switch to play with.
true that, they are really cracking down on anything bitcoin related recently.
Not really. They kind of hated bitcoin for quite a while.

1000 satoshis? That's below the min output limit. Your TX will never confirm.

Try seeing how CoinChat does it (plus, people frequently get a whole mBTC for a line of message).

The transactions will be sent out in 1 bulk pay to 100 recipients at a time, not individuals.

That will not confirm.

If you send ~5430 satoshis or less to anyone, EVEN if you are sending to 100 or 1000 addresses, the transaction will be "non standard" and the default client will block it.

This.

What you will need to do is create an account-type system to handle them. Then either do auto payouts once you hit a certain threshold or allow users to manually move their balance from delayed to pending.

Easier would be changing 1K to 10K satoshis. Everyone will be happy
I think if he had the money, he would but that doesn't seem like the case.

7866  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is there any point in getting to 5 posts on: June 16, 2013, 11:01:32 AM
Well if you post spam those 5 posts will be enough to identify you as a scammer. Simple as that.

Also, to add, OP... if you get everything squared away I may add it to the ]BTC Faucet Rotator. I'll keep up with your progress, Smiley.

That would be great.  I am currently donating out of pocket. eventually I hope to edge out ad revenue to fund the faucet rather than bleeding myself dry very slowly lol.

Sent the good folks over at the box an email already
Good luck. I sent them an email a couple of weeks ago about the requirements to join in and they haven't responded since. Sad

If he wanted to scam he would have posted a Bitcoin address. So I don't think it's a scam.

The site he thinks to is a legit crowdfunding site ranking 12,170 in Alexa:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GoFundMe

The only thing that could be scammy were if the guy posted a fake sob story to get money. But then again it can't be proved. Pay if you want to and trust he is being honest. Don't pay if you don't want to or don't trust it. I don't see the big deal.

Yup, the best way to avoid scams is not to participate in any. It would be a shame if it was a scam and someone donated a sizeable amount of cash to it.

I was thinking this would be the best place to actually sell it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0

I was just curious on the best way to make the transaction secure before i posted on there - it seems escrow is best.
Or the buyer can go first. Though the amount of your current rep would be a problem.

Thank you, I also noticed there is a trust system: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=211858.0
It helps to stop scammers a bit however trust only those who are rated with huge amounts of rep and from trustworthy members.
7874  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thinking of selling.. on: June 15, 2013, 05:36:45 PM
Use a trusted escrow.  You could also meet the buyer in person.
Unless you have some serious rep, I think the best way to go would be a trusted escrow.

How about you send me a 1 BTC gift and I may or may not send it back to you.  Deal?

1BurtWEejbnKeBRsvcydJvsNztB1bXV5iQ

Thanks for playing!

Let's turn this into a pyramid scheme like that website. When you get your 1 BTC, send 20% of it to me, Smiley.

And you can send me 10% of that.

Sure, if I remember. I may be so ecstatic about being rich that I'll be traveling the world!
Lol. Cheesy . Where would you travel then first?
7879  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many of you have had coins stolen? on: June 15, 2013, 06:30:09 AM
None yet! Thankfully...
Same. Hope it'll go that way.
