Yeah that's what happens when everyone herds over to apool. We will have a solution for you soon as we are also mostly Windows based

Have you tried the ones in the OP?
We are still launching more so the list well also be updated today.
yeah, tried, still nothing.

He can simply use:

addnode=esp.suprnova.cc

And maybe you want to add the Pool to the OP... Along with the miner

Let me get you alist

Why thank you OC!
Yes well add your pool to the op shortly

Lol ^^^ Yet the wallet source code is missing a lot of things for a normal compile.... now can you think of why it doesn't want to work ? Wink

Please demonstrate what is missing.....
We use the very source on the github to compile for Linux and Windows alike
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: April 14, 2016, 11:32:46 PM
any precompiled pool miners?

Not yet. We are working on a lot right now. Bear with us.
Honestly though solo mining works without having to pay pool fees. Just our two cents

No offence ocminer this is nothing against you or your services.

Need turotial step by step  how to mine here Wink
https://www.vultr.com/

Several users have requested a Linux compile guide.
We are in the process of creating one. Excuse the delay we are working as quickly as possible. This should be completed today.

Here ya go:

Code:
sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install build-essential libtool autotools-dev autoconf pkg-config libssl-dev
sudo apt-get install libboost-all-dev
sudo apt-get install libdb++-dev
sudo apt-get install git

git clone https://github.com/CryptoCoderz/Espers/

cd Espers/src
mkdir obj
chmod -R 777 leveldb
make -f makefile.unix -j32

That works for Ubuntu 14.04. Wallets aren't portable because of libdb version.

You can build with the correct version of libdb by replacing

Code:
sudo apt-get install libdb++-dev

with

Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev

Then your wallet should be compatible with the Windows binaries.

Wow! Thank you! You saved us a lot of time. We'll post this to our website and link it in the ANN OP.

Now we can focus on those wallet features we promised today.

Will also add a little to it for how to create the config and setup the daemon. Just minor touches. If must of the team including myself weren't stuck at work most of the day progress would be even faster. Still the way this community is banding together is just awesome. Thanks guys.

So settings to solo mine to a different address ?

You'll have to use ocminer's external Linux miner to point to adifferent address at this time.

Or solo mine and transfer your balance out periodically.
Not apermanent solution don't worry.

I don't think you understand, you are giving us a guide for a *NIX wallet but people are wanting to run these on their VPS/Virutal Machine Servers, you can't run the wallet the way you are instructing unless you are using the GUI...

Daemon settings/Mining config is what we want...

If other coins can point to an address to mine to from a daemon wallet on a server then why can't this coin ?

We will have alook at this. Let us get back to you.
If other coins are doing it and they are bitcoin source based like this one then why couldn't one just use the same method?

Being a partial Linux noob...what is the actual command to run the qt once you have the dependencies and gitclone installed?

I've got the wallet successfully running on Windows 8 (currently 5 active connections, was 8 this morning), Windows 7 (currently 1 active connection, even with same config file from the Windows 8 computer), and I'm trying to set one up on linux just for fun.

Thanks for any help!

Let us get you a detailed instruction set.
We are still getting a step by step guide setup for Linux users

will improve hashrate? also wishing for win compilation, wish i knew how to do it Sad

Currently, we don't see any gain with external vs internal miner.

If you guys can wait a little we will add a pool pointer into the wallet's miner.
Smiley

Awesome!

Thanks. We will update asap

I finally had some spare time and had a look at the pool stuff again, the problem was solved, thanks to tpruvot for the help !

Working Pool here:

https://esp.suprnova.cc

Working (new) and optimized external Miner here:

https://github.com/ocminer/cpuminer-hmq1725

Unfortunately I have no Windows and cannot compile for win, but I hope some nice guy will provide a compiled version.

For the other pools, here is the Hashing-Module needed:

https://github.com/ocminer/hmq-hash/

Happy hashing !

Awesome! Thank you ocminer! We will build in a pool pointer for the integrated miner so Windows and Mac folks can hit your pool.

Will start work on this today.

Can you correct the hash rate ocminer? Your pool reports 122mhs instead of 122khs
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: April 14, 2016, 09:00:12 PM
I like how you guys are here every day, adding, updating.. keep it up and we'll stick around. Maybe this coin can even get to the top 50 on CMC. That would be a feat. So I signed up for that "other" site.. gee it looks familiar. lol. and tweeted.. like I never use that thing. I'm the anti-social-media type.

So lets talk about your roadmap.

    Secure Emailing System
    Proof-of-Reliability
    Chain-to-Chain Interfacing
    Unique Blockchain Migration
    Manageable Sidechains
    Voting
Web on Blockchain (Site hosting on the Chain)
    Lite-Chain
    Unique Auto-Generated Config
    Auto-Updating
    Strippers on your desktop
    ... and much, much more

I think you should start with the last one first. It will get the most attention from the crypto community. I don't think blockchain strippers have been attempted yet.

Anyhow, in all seriousness, you should put some dates onto those things to give everyone and idea of where this is going. An explanation of how they will work and what they are exactly would be nice too.

Well first off, nothing gets done without the last item on the list Cheesy

Thank you for those words. That makes us very excited to see you take it seriously as we are.

You are absolutely right! We need to set dates.
Let's start with today.... Auto updater For the Windows client will be released today! No more worrying about what version is the latest. We will keep you up to date for you. Alternatively, the stand alone client will remain available for those who do not wish to have this feature. Mac and Linux will follow suit afterword.

We are working on aroadmap and actually need to add to the goals list as it's not complete.

Also working on videos done by us explaining our goals, why we got into crypto and our developments. Aiming at this so that people can learn in an engaging way as admittedly no one really likes to read. Lol.

Sick around. Come to the moon with us. (And beyond)

Yes! CPU mining ONLY is a great alternative that many coins fail to utilize.

Just hit my first block Smiley

Congratulations! Knew you would eventually Wink
Thank you for being apart of this. Smiley we aim to impress

okay guys we are going to launch two more official nodes and get this update underway!
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | ANN | Espers [ESP] | New Algo | New Features In Development | Reverse-ICO | on: April 14, 2016, 07:50:56 PM

Wow!

This coin is still CPU and you've got some people interested.  Glad I kept mining.  I was skeptical at first but I still don't see a GPU.  Good job.

Thank you! Our goal was fun, fair and cpu only. We don't like the games that GPU and ASICs bring.
We will continue to push the cpu only aspect and do our best to keep it that way.

Personally, I don't want to have to run a TITAN or an R9 and watch the power bill skyrocket and compete with giant farms that ruin both coins and communities.

We're glad to see you come around. If you ever need help or have any questions we're here. Smiley

i just posted once on bitcoingarden, and was your reverse ico post...Hope im not out...

No no you're not out. We have a brain and can discern nonsense from legitimate. Smiley

It's not new garden accounts that are an issue. It's the submissions tied to then that we look at. If one has zero posts in  Twitter for instance and just made an account for this then you will most likely not be considered, if you have aFacebook account that actually has activity for example use that instead of creating afresh social media account to prevent being excluded

Well that's no good.  I have maybe two followers on twitter and none on reddit yet I posted on both those accounts.  Both accounts are at least a year old.  Not recently made.  Will I be denied a share of the reverse ICO because I'm not popular?

Please understand that HOW RECENTLY YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT HAS BEEN CREATED IS FACTORED, If your account isn't brand new then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. We are reasonable people and want everyone to have a piece of the pie.

You seem pretty chill, I'd buy you a beer. Will be backing this coin best I can (on the list with a different name).

Never got any results from wallet mining though, how long should it take for me to see any amount of ESP come in? I'm running a i5-3650(?)k, not at home right now but it's a 4 core haswell...wish I could use my GPU somehow (unless a pool has been created?)

Cheers

Hmm give it a little as Pentium chips are hitting blocks you should see some progress Smiley
Definitely wouldn't mind a beer right about now haha.
We are currently avidly pushing the cpu only atm keep the playing field level. Others are welcome to create miners but it is but currently our focus as the in wallet miner well get you blocks Smiley

Sadly no pools, ocminer made asolid attempt to launch one for us but the algorithm resisted his pool system and external miner.

i try to mine with my unused vps with only 2 core, got 5 blocks in 2 days

Very nice. Thank you for providing this information. We will be using everything that is shared to draw conclusions on how this system operates as the best kind of testing is public testing as you see your system run under all kinds of situations.

im getting 1 block per hour, on 4 cores

that really isn't a bad static. Kinda jelly myself lol Smiley we are sitting back until the reverse ICO is over before we kick on any of our cpus.
