And if anyone cares, Payb.tc blocked me during his auction.  So if any of you care about him, let him know that his name is still associated w Shak's.   Sad

Freeway, you are shady and weird and I don't blame anyone for blocking you.

Also, I had a *relatively* good recent transaction with Shakaru over some ram so I've donated 1.222 to the collection fund.

Good to hear, now lets ignore the other $20k+ of trading money still left unpaid by shakaru.

What a good guy.

Understood and appreciated.

I sincerely hope you sensed my sarcasm.

Of course, I appreciated it. Smiley

I always thought that Pirate was laundering money or doing large drug deals and he needed bitcoin as an intermediary currency, which it is perfectly suited for.

I have a HIS and an OEM card, work flawlessly. Im getting out of the bitcoin biz, was fun tho. But means I'll accept paypal only. If I get decent offers here I wont Ebay them.

The OEM card is 3 months old, HIS 1.8 Years. Oc'ed for testing, never kept oced.  I'll post pics if there is any demand.

Where do these ship from? Do you have references? Also, pics would be nice.

933  Economy / Currency exchange / BTC for Check/Money Order/"Bill Pay" via bank on: April 23, 2012, 09:43:31 PM
Just wondering if anyone is interested in buying BTC with a check/money order, bill pay/person2person, or "send a check" feature through their bank. I'd be willing to sell some BTC this way, but I'd have to wait for the check to clear.

Also, if anyone has electric orange ING checking, it's free and instant.

Can someone with < 5% dead rate please share their secret? I'm at ~10% ~2200ghs with ~200mhash dead

Thanks!
936  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Platypus on: April 23, 2012, 07:54:08 PM
I thought about the egg idea, but I'd imagine that it needs constant regulated temperatures and conditions in order to not die... air-mail is often sent in depressurized cargo bays, which would certainly kill a platypus in an egg.

Also, I already feel bad for whatever creature your friend gets his/her hands on.  Undecided

Question:
How would this work with p2pool?

Hi VoluntaryMan,

We could point the hashing power to a p2pool node but our miners are not optimized with the proper settings for p2pool. I was also going to use my BFL singles rig to run the contract and they do not work well with p2pool.

My recommendation would be to run the contract on a large pool (deepbit or slush) if you are feeling lucky or abcpool.co if you want to get close to the PPS payout.

GPUMAX is not selling many shares lately so these are the best strategies IMHO.

Best,
gigavps

Would this also not work well on p2pmining.com ?

So, I set intensity on all my gpus to 7 and I still have roughly ~10% dead rate. When I set intensity lower, my gpus only mine at like 95%... I'm on Win7, cgminer.

Try changing threads per GPU to 1.
I have that set to 1 thread per gpu.

I run cgminer with -I 7 -g 1

Intensity 7 mines at 97% GPU, 8 mines at 98% gpu, 5 mines at 94% and 3 mines at 90%
940  Economy / Computer hardware / [CLOSED] 2x Sapphire 5830 XTreme, 1x Sapphire 5770, 2xMSI 4850 <<-- Buy These! on: April 23, 2012, 04:05:41 PM
I have 7 5 GPUs for sale. All are used but clean and in good condition. All cards come bare, with no boxes or accessories. I am unsure of the warranty status of these cards, I purchased them all second hand. The prices include shipping and I will consider reasonable offers. I have over 10 years of heatware references in my signature, I've also traded with cablepair, tgmarks, and others. Accepting BTC only. Thanks for looking!

Diamond 5870 - 40 coins
I purchased this from a friend, it's very quiet and hashes like any other 5870 in the 400-450 range depending on clocks. It looks like a rebranded Sapphire 5870. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102883

PowerColor 5850 - 32 coins
This card is not currently in my possession, but it will be by the end of the week. I have no details other than the newegg link. I will test and clean before shipping. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131337

Sapphire 5830 Xtreme - 24 coins/each (2 available)
These two cards are excellent miners, both reach 300MHash/sec easily. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102946

Sapphire 5770 - 16 coins
Nice card, but I don't have a use for it. Mines at ~230MHash/sec at 1050mhz, default voltage. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102873

MSI 4850-OC - 8 coins/each (2 available)
Good for 65-80MHash/sec depending on your settings. It's also still a great card for games with 800 stream processing units. Smiley http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127414
