Just to keep this at the bottom of the page for those who hate reading.
OK everyone, first, you guys are awesome. I just want to reiterate a few of the comments above about how great this community is being as we work through these issues.

Now, onto the reason for my post. For all of you self compilers out there v2.0.4.0 is up on github, delete your peers.dat and either use a pre-PoS blockchain backup, or sync from scratch. If you are not 100% sure that your backup is from before block 259200 fire up an older version of the wallet with your backup and verify the block number. We seem to have a lot of people not following this step, which is exacerbating the problems with our testing.

We will get the precompiled binaries up as quickly as we can, let's try to break this one, we think we have it fixed, but, as you all know, it is not the first time we thought that. Most of the previous fixes were based on less complete info than this one, so....

Everyone should not get too attached to any coins you have staked or earned with your masternodes, once we confirm the problems are solved we will be rolling back to the beginning of PoS, so if that is the reason some of you are not replacing your blockchain when switching to the new version, please stop.

As usual, report all issues here, we really need your help. So far all of these versions have worked well when testing with a small group, it isn't until we release you guys on it that you are able to break it for us and further the cause. We just want to thank you all again for being so great about this.
pardon me which nodes for "protocolversion" : 70600 ?

Really, I would like to see everyone try it without addnodes. We really shouldn't need them, we haven't for the past several releases. I added a lot of hardcoded nodes long before PoS. Everyone's wallet should just connect. With that said I will list a few if people can't seem to connect.

The 64 bit Windows binary is up, as well. I will get the others up as they finish building. https://github.com/Darknet-Crypto/Darknet/releases/download/v2.0.4.0/Windows64_Qt.exe

And just to reinforce it. Either be certain that your blockchain backup is pre-PoS, aka block 259200, or sync from scratch.

So if i download this one and sync from scratch can I use my current wallet.dat file? Thanks.
Yeah, use your wallet.dat.

You did not listen. We are not at that block yet. delete your chain and sync from scrath or use a backup from before block 259200.

got ya no problem at all, I was using https://www.dropbox.com/s/njdjxmsvhwh6njf/.darknet.zip?dl=0 from the prev backup and I go to that block #, np.. will resync fresh without any backup plus remove nodes from conf.. hold a sec

Thanks.

unlock you wallet for anon only

how do i do that ?

anybody here ?

Settings->Unlock Wallet->check "for anonymization only"->Enter passphrase->OK

Also, My hash matches yours.

great

found it - sorry was blind !!

Edit:
running and synced
Staking (but slow- much slower than yesterday)
am wondering if i am on the right peers
(tech nob here)

Staking is going to be much slower now that everyone is actually competing for blocks, instead of happily staking their own chain, competing only with themselves.

windows wallet and staking looks good so far.

before i update all my masternodes again:
do we have to delete the chain, peers.dat and edit the conf file on masternodes too?

btw. http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/DNET/index.php is not working properly i guess

Yes, you need to follow the same steps on your masternodes.

Presstab's explorer is stuck, he knows, he is probably getting some well deserved rest.

Anyone know when trex is planning on fixing their wallet?
We asked them to put it into maintenance until we get things squared away. We had to pay them hundreds of thousands of DNET the last time when they sent coins on the wrong chain. We don't want to do that again, as I am sure you can understand.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARKNET [DNET] QRK ALGO - PoW/PoS on: August 10, 2016, 01:57:11 AM
I just synced. Had these two transactions happen.

Yes, there are going to be a few GUI oddities that people may be confused by. This is really still a work in progress, no other PoS coin is using Bitcoin 0.10 or newer, this was not a copy/paste job.

The thing you noticed is the stake being paid to your wallet and the masternode payment being sent from it. We will be cleaning the GUI stuff up a bit over the coming weeks, the main thing is getting the protocol right.

You may also notice that inputs will show up in coin control before they are mature, which can be confusing. There seems to be something strange going on with the lock icon. Right now those are the GUI things I can think of, everyone keep your eyes peeled for other things you notice and share.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARKNET [DNET] QRK ALGO - PoW/PoS on: May 19, 2016, 08:17:10 PM
how much DNET reward per day in Masternode ?

Starting tomorrow, 1440 blocks per day X 25 DNET per block / 887 masternodes(currently) = ~40.5 DNET per day per masternode.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARKNET [DNET] QRK ALGO - PoW/PoS on: May 18, 2016, 03:41:46 AM
devs, how are we looking in terms of % of wallets upgraded?

Also, a page that resembles something like this would be great for DNET:
http://178.254.23.111/~pub/Dash/Dash_Info.html
It looks like right around 90% of wallets have upgraded.

We actually have someone working on bringing that type of info to a readable format on a webpage everyone can visit.
Probably the same way this guy has mined 15%, and this guy has mined 2%. Judging from the transaction history they look to be pools. Honestly, I would think you would see the pools having mined a higher percent than they seem to have. That just suggests to me that individual miners have done a pretty good job of keeping mining decentralized.

So then everything worked with the fork? Or has the fork not occurred yet?
It hasn't happened yet. Not until block 151200, so another 3 and a half days or so, but I don't expect any issues.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARKNET [DNET] QRK ALGO - PoW/PoS on: May 13, 2016, 05:36:04 PM
how i can see if my masternode works?

The best way is to run "masternode list full" in the debug console, copy the output into a text editor, and search for your masternode by IP address, DNET address, or TXID. Man, we really need to get the new website done, and have a FAQ section. No offense to you, I know it can be difficult to look through the haystack that is this thread for the specific needle you are wanting. It just gets a bit old repeating the same things over and over.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DARKNET [DNET] QRK ALGO - PoW/PoS on: May 13, 2016, 05:32:11 PM
I don't get the "fewer coins is bad for POS" concept. People can stake one coin, ten coins, one thousand coins etc. what matters is the proportional distribution of the coins and the amount of staking wallets not if there are total of 50 mil, 100 mil or 500 mil.

Also guys here are acting as if there is no competition at all and you have all the time in the world to develop the coin and gain popularity.

There are tons of new coins coming up and will continue to come up. You need to decide if you want to be a predator or bottom of the food chain dweller.

I don't get why you would copy an old post from fedmahnkassad verbatim, after the change it was in support of has already been made.

well dev team can you please clarify this and please correct if wrong in ann. post.
specs from official  ann. post are decisively for me and i guess for a lot of other people too.
thanks

Block number 151200 for PoW Block Reward drop was already confirmed by dev StakeBox. See this post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1262920.msg14747320#msg14747320

<snip>
This is a mandatory update, everyone needs to be on the new version, 1.1.0.0, by block 151200, about 2 weeks from now, that is when the new block rewards will go into effect. Notices will be sent to all service providers shortly. Thanks for your patience, I know I said this would be done last night or this morning. Sorry for the delay guys.

Also, block number 151200 is stated as the block when 250 will drop to 50 on the OP already.
Second line of Coin Specs on the OP states: "PoW Block Reward: (block# 2-151200) 250 DNET (block# 151201-259200) 50 DNET"

Edit:
And for true proof, here's the source code snippet from 1.1.0.0.
https://github.com/Darknet-Crypto/Darknet/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L1550
It clearly shows PoW reduction at block # >=151200. Also, the numeric value "172800" doesn't even exist in the source code.
So yeah, s3v3n should correct the "PoW Rewards Breakdown" portion of the OP. Smiley

Man, thank you jakiman for posting the relevant section of the code. I hate to do this, but upon looking at that post realized there was an error in the code. It is fixed now, and we just released a new version of the wallet with the fix. Line 1569 should have been else if(nHeight < 151200 && nHeight >= 86400) {, not else if(nHeight < 259200 && nHeight >= 86400) {. I actually noticed the problem when I was testing, I made the change locally, but it never got pushed. That would have caused some serious issues. I apologize to everyone, but you are going to need to update to the newer version, 1.1.0.1 before block 151200, which is in about 7.5 days. This is totally my fault, I feel like an ass, I hope you can all forgive me. Also, a big thanks again to jakiman for that post, without it the error probably would have gone unnoticed until it was too late. The new wallets are up on github, I think s3v3n has updated the OP to reflect the change.

my ip and dynamic changed when just renicia the masternode and reconfigures it?

or I can not have a masternode ?

noip.com solve ?

sorry
so many questions =/
Are you running it as a local masternode or a remote masternode? If it is setup as a local masternode you should be fine, if it is setup as a remote with controller wallet you would have to reconfigure it any time your IP address changes. Depending on your ISP it could be frequent, or rare, that your IP address changes.

Well, the yobit wallet is in maintenance, that probably means they are updating to the new version. I am having issues with a BTC withdraw from Bittrex right now, I haven't received the confirmation email yet. I just bought a few DNET from there and tried to send them out, again, no confirmation email yet, I sent them an email, I am sure they will get things fixed shortly.
