422  Economy / Speculation / Re: To all of you who had fiat waiting on the exchanges.. on: March 28, 2013, 11:19:08 PM
so mtgox is going to happily let me transfer my $300k to another exchange now that i realize their site blows?
Are you claming that mtgox would hold your money for some reason ? Ofcourse you will have to withdraw it to your bank account first, but Im sure this wont be a problem.
423  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cairnsmore2 - What would you like? on: March 28, 2013, 11:15:38 PM
Seeing as the new price for 65GH/s is 5.5 grand (Avalon) be sure that the competition is going to do the same. Shit people are willing to pay 20 grand for 65GH/s.

Supply and demand.
Has someone actually paid 20k, or are you talking about the ebay scams ?
424  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: mtgox is run by imbeciles on: March 28, 2013, 10:54:07 PM
The market is wide open, make something better. Im sure you'd get customers.
425  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [To Theymos and Mods] An honest concern (all trolling aside) on: March 28, 2013, 03:46:54 PM

In BFL's case that currency was BTC.

And you actually have a product to send them.  Not a ranting bully of a COO who promises next week when there are a dozen milestones before shipping still to go.
True, but in my understanding most people who have been ranting about btc refunds from BFL work under the assumption they get the same amount of coin back.

I did briefly consider pursuing gold versions of my goods with pre-order btc. I didn't like the notion nor the position I would of have been putting myself in and quickly dismissed it.

You have my attention aswell.
427  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [To Theymos and Mods] An honest concern (all trolling aside) on: March 27, 2013, 06:48:04 PM
If I buy something from you in BTC and return it as defective, what currency will you give me a refund in?
In the currency you paid, but not the same amount, exchange rate fluctuations apply. I first and foremost offer to re-ship the ordered item and to date this has been fine with my customers.
428  Other / Off-topic / Re: Look at me cake :) on: March 27, 2013, 05:08:51 PM
BTCrilliant.
429  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [To Theymos and Mods] An honest concern (all trolling aside) on: March 27, 2013, 03:18:41 PM
I guess someone needs to define at what point is a incompetent operation considered a scam.
Right about the time when they nolonger process refunds or accept chargebackable payments ?
[edit] This talk of btc refunds is absurd, fiat refunds are what you should expect.
430  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to design a company logo on: March 26, 2013, 07:05:16 PM

Fuck the law, if you live in another country just grab the damn coins!

435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: investing in bitcoin on: March 26, 2013, 09:43:08 AM
This is not a bubble...
Im not saying it is a bubble, im saying it will become one if more and more money flows in to bitcoin, without having any use for it at all.
436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin trademark on: March 26, 2013, 09:41:24 AM
As a general rule, the owner of a trademark should be very agressive in protecting and defending his trademark against infringement. Failure to do so might cause the owner to lose the trademark rights and prevent the owner to be able to bring lawsuits against any other infringements if they let somebody to infringe without repercussions. MtGox is has quite probably already lost the rights in this matter as I have not heard about thousands of lawsuits they have brought up to prevent others to use the word. So nobody should be worried what MtGox could do. MtGox is definately not able to say publicly that they are not going to be hyperaggressive. That would definately lead them to lose the rights. On the other hand I believe MtGox owning the trademark prevents anybody else from claiming it is their trademark.

Disclaimer: I have never read any lawbook in my life.
I sure hope this is correct, as somebody who has and will be using said traidmark. Asfar as preventing others from claiming the trademark, thats all good in my book. Still a statement of some sort would sure be helpful.
437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin trademark on: March 26, 2013, 09:17:03 AM
I feel this concern is valid. I would love to see Mt. Gox enter an open discussion about it.
438  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitcoinStore.com (Beta) - Electronics super store with over 500K items! on: March 26, 2013, 08:53:52 AM

Danny is exactly right.
I have no intention of converting my Bitcoins for USD.
I fear you may of have travelled too far back in time. Dont get me wrong I personally love this, but we are still quite some time away from your suppliers accepting bitcoin, correct ?
439  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many bitcoins do you have? on: March 25, 2013, 09:54:59 PM
Dont ask, dont tell.
440  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any counter-proof that Satoshi Nakamoto did not design a ponzi scheme on purpose on: March 25, 2013, 09:54:33 PM
It's only a ponzi if the majority of bitcoin "users" behave the following way:
1. Aqquire bicoin.
2. ??
3. Profit.

..come on people it's a currency, ment to be used. Theres nothing wrong with saving, but if you dont even consder using bitcoin in any way all you are buying in to is a bubble.
