doesnt seem to work right for me..
Each time i try to launch it, my fourth 7970 crashes..

But it works well, with an earlier version
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ATTN Litecoin GPU Miners - Scrypt support for cgminer on: July 24, 2012, 06:30:27 PM

well...i know that everybody should have their own opinion on this...
but my guess that this asic thing will definitly ruin bitcoin as a worldwide system....

and its sure way to early to make those rigs so quick in calculations...

they couldve atleast make then twice as fast for the same price as bfl single...
but why make them so fast?
392  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: June 16, 2012, 11:30:25 AM
With mining they can make a absolute max (at the current price) of some small X% of the whole network.

What is X?

Well the issues are:
1) You can't make 100% - if one source makes 100% well that's OBVIOUSLY the end of BTC - I'd even suggest that 50% would be (nothing to do with the 51% issue)
2) How much can you mine and sell without killing the market?

I'd suggest that X is not even 10%

So assuming that 10% is even possible, your talking $790K in 6 months on some rather risky venture at trying to take a good portion of the BTC network without killing it.
Or they could sell hundreds or even thousands of these devices and get the money up front even before giving anyone anything and have that guaranteed up front profit.
So ... which one makes business sense? Smiley

Yep. i totally agree with you...
Well honostly, i think that this whole thing with new asic that they developed is bullshit, theres no way it could be so efficient...

But anyway even if it was true, people that want to buy this stuff are totally reckless, cause its the same as giving your money away for charity to bfl company...
cause you aint gonna get nothing from this...

3)    BitForce SC Mini Rig: a case & rack mount server providing 1 TH/s, priced at $29,899
If BFL made just one of these, they could earn $40k per week as 1/15th of the current network, so why sell them?

Something's not right with these equations unless the profit margins are ridiculously large...

Well.. thats not completely correct... i think they do mine, but there is no point in incresing the difficulty for them!
So its much more profitable to sell hundred of those rigs, and when the difficulty rises again, people will buy even morefrom them..
so this way its much more profitable...
394  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: June 16, 2012, 07:51:43 AM
well.. its only an announcment of how likely its going to cost and how much gh's its gonna give...
maybe in the end its going to be something completely different...

because 3.5gh for hundred bucks is a stupid thing to do...

or maybe what they want to do, is that everybody who mined on gpus.. and didnt want to do anything with bfl's... will have to go their way... or just quit this btc business...
395  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Efficiency of 7970(youre gonna like this) on: June 09, 2012, 09:55:12 AM

ill let it run for a few hours, and then post it...

theres no madness... you just have to believe it))
396  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Efficiency of 7970(youre gonna like this) on: June 09, 2012, 09:40:05 AM
i powered my computer without any gpus
and measured its idle power consuption
397  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Efficiency of 7970(youre gonna like this) on: June 09, 2012, 09:26:58 AM
no what im saying is i mined at core clock 850 mhz, 300 mhz memory clock
my voltage is 0.850 and im getting 500 mh/s , whats so difficult to understand?
398  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Efficiency of 7970(youre gonna like this) on: June 09, 2012, 08:12:48 AM
So ive decided to check if 7970 will go below the core volt: of 0.925.. and it does..

i was able to mine stable at 0.850 volt -850Mhz/280 getting something about 490-500Mhs...

and here's my power consuption from the wall

220 watts for the whole system 2x7970(asic quility about 80)
so subtract 70 watts that my system consumes

that makes 150 watt for both cards

75 watt each card

so it makes 6.66 mhash per watt))

sweeet)
399  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Holy balls, I just won this on: June 06, 2012, 07:32:23 AM
Oo)
Gpu-z is the way to go

right click on gpu-z(on the upper corner, where it says gpu-z) and select asic quality
