Hi, any reply to several depth/trade api questions previously asked in this thread earlier?

Apologies for not addressing this sooner. Certain requests on our API were restricted due to abuse, currently GET https://www.bitstamp.net/api/transactions/ syntax is as follows:

Transactions

GET https://www.bitstamp.net/api/transactions/

Params:

time - time frame for transaction export ("minute" - 1 minute, "hour" - 1 hour, "day" - 1 day). Default: hour.

Returns descending JSON list of transactions. Every transaction (dictionary) contains:

date - unix timestamp date and time
    tid - transaction id
    price - BTC price
    amount - BTC amount

The available transaction history is thereby limited to the last 24hours. We are working to make a file available for download for the rest of transaction history.

Is anyone else having long delays for withdrawing btc from bitstamp? Mine has been "Waiting to be processed" for 9 hours or so.

Apologies for any delays our customers may have experienced last night. There was an issue which delayed Bitcoin withdrawals last night however we now resolved it and withdrawals should be processed in the normally expected time frame. If anyone is still waiting for their withdrawal we kindly ask that you submit a support ticket here: https://www.bitstamp.net/support/ and we'll make sure to look into your case and resolve it.

the FBI won them fair and square.

yeah, if by won you mean stolen and if by fair you mean using violence and coercion

You cannot call that stealing. If violence or threat of violence is used, it is a robbery. The FBI is a bunch of armed gangsters who robs their victims  Shocked

Right, robbed is what I meant.  Wink

Since coming back online the site is feeling more sluggish than before.

The optimization's after switching our DDoS mitigation service provider is not completed yet. When it is it should work much smoother again.

It would go against the whole your coins can't be "frozen" line.

Coins weren't frozen, coins were stolen.

If you haven't been regulated yet, why can't you let users who can't verify make one-time withdrawals. I'm sure you've observed that such individuals feel that you are stealing their funds. Have you been threatened with many lawsuits for this yet?

We always do our best to resolve any issues with customer verification. If you are someone like that, please contact our support and you will be given instructions on how to resolve the matter.

and there is no any guarantee that they won't change it the other day, or close?

There are no such plans at this time and I don't think we are likely to do so.

just print your bill on paper, then scan it

This is acceptable only if it's a copy which was authenticated as valid by a notary.

..but please point out to me on your linked page where it is not acceptable for a government issued bill in pdf format..

From Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG), -> Guidence Part 1 -> 5.3.74 (page 62 - 63)

Whilst Bitstamp is currently unregulated and does not fall within the scope of the AML/CTF obligations in the UK, the senior management has implemented systems and procedures that meet the UK AML legislation (please find the details here: https://www.bitstamp.net/aml-policy/). Bitstamp`s verification procedure is following these standards.

Please note that if you do not have any documents currently that meet our standards, you can also request a proof of residency from your local government or print an electronic utility bill and send us by a notary verified copy.

Calling ATH this week!

I just wonder how much of this is being driven by people fleeing gox and how much is actual demand:
