1042  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Using Poloniex just for processing bitcoin transactions? on: July 18, 2017, 09:56:49 PM
So i was wondering if this was allowed.

Poloniex only charges 0.0001BTC per tx, and it usually confirms in the next block, which is pretty fast considering i'm only paying 0.0001BTC.

thus not only is it decent for trading, but it could be used to sent tx's extremely fast with low fees aswell.

I know that there are some trading/gambling sites which wants you to trade 80% or so of your total deposit before you can withdraw again, but this doesn't seem the case with poloniex.
Do they have any rules against this or is it allowed to do?

What are the disadvantages of doing this? ( Ofcourse i know polo has risks and that some people consider it a scam, and that i not actually "own" my bitcoin in their wallet, but is there anything else i'm missing?)

I have used poloniex for several months without problems or restrictions. The main function of polo is exchange with nice additional features of trading and lending. So its far away from scammy trading services or gambling sites.
But to hold your cryptocurrencies over August, 1th, you should use your own wallet with private key. That is the savest way to keep your cryptovoins.
For cheap and fast transfers of btc, polo is also for me the best.

It's like on all dice sites. For secure win you need an endless amount for martingale. But makes fun to see the dicebot work Smiley
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Sites like EOBOT? on: July 17, 2017, 08:46:18 PM
No, there isn't similar to eobot. You can find many cloud miners (serious and scam). The unique aspect of eobot is, that you, when you baught a 5 years contract, are not fixed at this contract. When you need your money back or you think a coin will go up the next days, you can exchange your 5 years contract to 24h, so that you can cashout very fast. But be careful with this option, because you can loose around 30 or 35 percent on your investment. You also can make profit on this exchange, depending on coins you are mining and their growth. My own experience on eobot is good. I mined there, deposited, withdrew without problems. Only take care of status. BCN for example is buggy and cannot always be deposited or withdrew. But that's fault on BCN Wallet or needed update.
You can also mine there with your own hardware. It is transparent and many coins can be choosed to mine. There is also an active chat with nice members who boost sometimes active chat members. But cloud mining is only good for longterm profit. Nothing for short term. So if you want to invest on eobot, don't touch 24 h contracts. Take them only, if you need to cashout 5 Yrs contract.
1046  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallets on: July 17, 2017, 01:28:43 PM
Some help. So just using a smartphone what are the best apps to store bitcoins in taking I to consideration transfer fees and ease of transfer. Right now I use coinbase as a buying platform and Bitcoin wallet as my wallet but it's a pain to transfer and not sure about the safety of the Bitcoin wallet.
I prefer coinomi (for android). You can choose yourself the transfer fees, have a cold wallet and also server based backup. Coinomi supports several coins and runs smooth, even with slow connection and on my old device Smiley.
1047  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I start investing in cryptocurrency? on: July 17, 2017, 01:22:38 PM
so I have some few more questions.

I have seen in Internet trader groups that sell information about pump of some coin. is that really working? smells like other people want your money for registration.

is it still profitable to invest money in cloud mining like genesis? have read only positive reviews.

have a good sunday!

I would recommend to watch cryptocurrencies yourself on exchangers like poloniex, yobit, cryptopia or livecoin. You will get a good feeling about coins that will pump and to studybitcointalk for profitable ICO.
Cloud mining contracts can be, if any, at the most profitable on longterm. You have mostly at least to wait for one year to begin to make profit.
1048  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plans for 1st august? on: July 17, 2017, 01:14:47 PM
I think, there will not much happen on August, 1st. Maybe later. But for worst case I put my coins from Exchangers to my wallet and have more than one cryptocurrency.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MAJOR WARNING - ALL COINS on: July 17, 2017, 01:09:23 PM
Thaught first, that was a serious warning because of maybe blockchains crashing down or governments forbid all cryptocurrencies. No, at serious, as long as a cryptocurrency has a healthy infrastructure and is not created to steal peoples money, there is no reason to worry, I think. Even contrary could happen. Traditional money could be superseded by cryptocurrencies.
1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: July 17, 2017, 12:56:24 PM
Gambling is for me for fun, not expecting to win anything. So, if I want to try to make profit, I invest although some investments are similar to gambling Smiley
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: July 16, 2017, 10:28:29 PM
Bitcoin and other currencies will replace the tradirional money. I think, in latest 20 years, we will only pay with cryptocurrencies. Why? Cryptos usually are more transparent than traditional financial terms. So governments and finance instituts will enforce electronic money. Maybe with their own cryptocurrencies.

1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: July 16, 2017, 10:19:27 PM
If you are experienced in gambling, you will know that you can't win without luck because of the house edge.
But you can choose games and services with low house edge. And you can choose games like poker, blackjack (usually the game with lowest house edge) or craps where you have the chance for different strategies with good odds.
1053  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to know how to discover if that site is legit or not on: July 16, 2017, 10:12:05 PM
If a site promises huge earnings, there can be two reasons: It is ponzi or scam.
At ponzi sites only the first users will earn and maybe get their investment out with win. They are paid by the invested money of the next users until site owners have collected enough money and run away with users money and they turn into scam.
Scam sites don't pay you anything and steal your money.
If you get free minings you will not to be able to pay out because minimum is to high or you must first deposit.
A real mining contract will have its roi after about a year or later.

1055  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 10-Jul-2017] on: July 16, 2017, 08:58:37 PM
How do we know that we approved for a campaign? Do we have to search spreadsheets or do we get a message?
1056  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Signaturkampagnen on: July 16, 2017, 08:26:39 PM
Update:

1058  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: STARTING A SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: July 16, 2017, 08:54:04 AM
I asked at carecoin and other campaign. How do I know that I am in or not?
1059  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Das Finanzamt lässt grüßen on: July 15, 2017, 11:43:27 AM
Da müsste man ja dann sämtliche exchanges in altcoins auch melden.
1060  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Das Finanzamt lässt grüßen on: July 15, 2017, 10:00:11 AM
Ist dann beim Mining bereits der Gegenwert vom Bitcoin steuerpflichtig oder erst, wenn man ihn verkauft? Gleiche Frage auch für Signaturkampagnen.
