881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: August 07, 2017, 09:53:53 PM
In gambling games where only fortune determines the game, you always have to play against the house edge. Through strategies you can try to reduce the bank advantage, but you will for sure lose in longterm. For games that include comprehensive strategies or where you can gain an advantage through knowledge, you could win with high advanced skills on longterm or at least not necessarily lose. These games are for example, chess, go and Texas Hold'em. Whether these games should still be considered gambling or should be assigned to arts of sports is not clarified. Sports betting, for example, could lead to longterm profits with luck and very good knowledge.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How long does it take for Poloniex to process withdrawals "Awaiting Approval" on: August 06, 2017, 10:12:24 PM
As I see so many requests, it looks like withdrawels are processed manually. Maybe technical or financial problems could be the reasons. Or ETH itself could have transfer issues.
Hope, poloniex will become again the good exchanger, as it was. Hope that it will not turn into scam.
883  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Eobot on: August 06, 2017, 09:33:27 PM
It always changes so you will get no exact calculation.
Let's think in dollar. If you would have 1 GHS, you will earn around 1.75 Cent in a month at the moment. If the bitcoin would be worth 3000$ you would need around 280000 GHS. For one doge in a month you would need around 0.0006 GHS.
For one cent a day you would need around 17 GHS at the moment. That would be enough to see little movements every day Smiley
The good feature in eobot is, that you needn't hold your 5yrs contract and you can exchange it, if needed, into 24h contract with around 20 percent loss. It makes sense, if you think, eobot would go down, a coin is going up very fast or you just need your money back. Didn't see that feature at any other cloud miner. Although I also wouldn't recommend cloud mining as best investment (most "cloud miners" are scam), eobot has interesting additional features . Many currencies are provided on a graphical surface. With a little investment or by using the faucet on eobot can help to get familiar with cryptocurrencies and its movements. But as already preposters explained. There is always a risk on cloud mining and ROI is earliest on around 18 months.
884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you play 10% for 3 round or 30% for 1 round? on: August 06, 2017, 08:39:54 PM
Something is missing on your question:
You have 30$ for your bet and you ask, if you should play once with 30 percent chance or three bets with 10 percent chance.
What does second bet cost?
It is rewarded with 10$. If it costs 10$ you only get your bet back.
If it costs 30$, you lose independent from result.
I would choose option one. The chance to win 50$  with three throws is 30 percent (1/10 + 1/10 + 1/10). The chance to win 100$ in three throws is 3 percent (1/10*1/10*3) The chance to win 150$ in three throws is 0.1 percent (1/10*1/10*1/10).
So the winning chance in three throws is 33.1 percent.
The second option
The chance to win in one throw is 30 percent.
885  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why I Am Not Using Hardware Wallet For Cold Storage on: August 06, 2017, 07:18:03 PM
I expected to get a tutorial, how to create a wallet. So no third party would be needed to save Bitcoins.
886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 500,000$ to invest on: August 06, 2017, 06:37:41 PM
You could invest parts in Bitcoin and well known altcoins like prposter already suggested and for example Litecoin, Steem and MaidSafeCoin and hold them on longterm. When you conpare the prices of those coins from today with the last years, you see contuus signifikant raisings.)And you can put other parts into crowd projects like ICO. There are for example very promising projects with new technologies or services, like mobile healthcare or worldwide solarparks, that pay dividends or new cloud services that are paid by cryptocurrencies like GOLEM "supercomputer".
Those projects are innovative and enable great opportunities.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: From where does sites like coinmarketcap, worldcoinindex etc get the data from? on: August 06, 2017, 04:14:51 PM
There are freely available APIs usually.

For example Bittrex's API page: https://bittrex.com/home/api

And they probably also use block explorer APIs to get numbers like supply.

I see, so these sites use bittrex's API? Or the other exchanges offer free API's too(like YoBit) and can be used by anyone.

So basically the exchanges have API's available for anyone to freely use and therefore sites like coinmarketcap etc uses their API to get all the data?!.

Thanks so much btw Smiley

Pretty much.

Examples:
https://poloniex.com/support/api/
https://yobit.net/en/api/

Coinmarketcap also have their own free API: https://coinmarketcap.com/api/

They're free as they are just tiny bits of information in a simple format, just don't request data too frequently, like every few seconds.

I see.. Thanks man

On coinmarketcap api page they say "Please limit requests to no more than 10 per minute." is it applicable for only one coin or global for all coins? eg I can request data of all the available coins 10 times in a minute or data of just one coin 10 times a minute.
As I understand, each API has a maximum request of 10 per minute and is not global limited. So you could have many more requests in the whole, but I am not sure.
But to verify this, you could easily open a support ticket. On my experience they answer fast and friendly.

888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8th August on: August 06, 2017, 08:10:32 AM
I expect a continuus updrive of bitcoin. The 8th of August will probably fasten the updrive once more. But I also think, that altcoins will take profit from Bitcoin's success and follow the upcourve.

I also like 999 dice. Deposits and withdrawels worked fine and they have awesome faucets and rain. But at the results, I lost more than I won.
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCC/BCH went missing on: August 05, 2017, 06:25:29 PM
Use 2 full nodes. 1 Bitcoin Core full node for your BTC, then 1 Bitcoin Cash full node (or BitcoinABC, whatever they are calling it) and then import your wallet. dat into the BitcoinABC folder. BitcoinABC has replay protection so you SHOULD be safe. Im too scared to lose my real BTC trying to get free money so I haven't done anything yet, but I plan in dumping all of it as soon as I learn for a fact how to do it the right safe way.
Maybe you could first transfer your bitcoin into another wallet. And then export the key. Why? Had an issue at my wallet. Gained BCH, then sent an amount of BTC to a service and made a backup of my wallet. Restored and had no BCH in my wallet. So I had to follow the step once more and full BCH appeared although I had less bitcoin in my wallet. But bitcoin history was mirrored by BCH and I got the amount that I had before fork.
892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tell me the trading strategy. on: August 05, 2017, 05:43:53 PM
My advice now after the fork: Hold, what you already have. As bitcoin is climbing now very fast, nearly all well known altcoins will follow.
893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCC/BCH went missing on: August 05, 2017, 03:57:41 PM
In coinomi I must do a few steps, then they show up within seconds. I think it depends on history
But many users seem to have problems with electron cash..
On a Mac so that's not an option for me. Thanks anyway.
Maybe you know another Mac wallet for prince8 ...?

When i click to sweep on coinomi and add my private key, it says the wallet doest have any funds ("The private key does not contain any funds"). The funds still show on blockchair
That I correctly understand: Did you transfer your private key of BTC or BCH?

after i got my BCH in electron cash, i transfer BCH private keys to coinomi (and didnt work - "does not contain any funds")
No, try to transfer private key from bitcoin. In some wallets BCH disappear, when wallets are backuped and restored again. You must follow the steps once more as you did on gaining BCH from BTC. The important thing is your BTC history before split. If the step might be risky for you to transfer your btc key, just send your btc to another wallet you own. Then transfer  private key where you had your BTC to coinomi. There you should be able to gain your bch.

Coinomi gave me the same message ("The private key does not contain any funds") when i tried importing my BTC private keys into my coinomi BCH wallet.

ps: i had imported/sweep my BTC private key from exodus to electron cash with success already, but since the transfer from electron cash to an exchange gave en error, i tried with electron cash android app and it starts not showing funds or anything
ps2: the funds are showing on my wallet on blockchair
Does blockchair also have a wallet?
896  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Re: Signaturkampagnen on: August 05, 2017, 01:10:20 PM
897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Claim BCC from Blockchain.info wallet on: August 05, 2017, 12:48:09 PM
Hi .. Think of it this way:

you send 5 btc after fork your transactions are in the new only btc blocks, the bcc doesn't see your 5 btc anymore so you can not claim those 5 send btc to bcc. Only the 5 before fork coins are in the bcc history blocks

So you can only get 5bcc if you now how to
I have another experience. Gained BCH on my wallet. Sent half of my BTC to a service. Made a backup from my wallet. Restored and BCH disappeared. Made the needed steps to gain the BCH again and full amount, that was on my wallet before split where paid in BCH because my transfer was after split.

Hello I have only one question:
If before Segwit I was having 10 BTC in blockchain.info and If i today transfer those 10 BTC to to some other wallet? Will I still get the BCC(btc cash) from blockchain.info ?  Huh
Or what if I first transfer BTC and then import private keys and claim BCC, just to be in safe side? will that work please guide. Roll Eyes

Thanks all for your support and reply in advance.
No, you need to transfer your private key from blockchain, so that history is shown. If you only send from one wallet to another, you will have "new" BTC, that is not eglible to gain BCH.
