1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Perception about BTC to rise in 2019 is good? on: December 15, 2018, 06:25:49 PM
Are you saying that traders selling their holdings is an indicator that the price will rise in 2019? Because that's not how the market works. No one knows when the prices will rise.
Probably he meant that most traders have already sold and left nothing which makes them to sell nothing more. When most people will not sell, prices may not get dumped and also, what you will do after selling and seeing prices got lowered ? Buy back ? Why not that situation may trigger the much anticipated price rise ?

What I want to say is that people shouldn't expect too much in too short period of time. By that time try not to accumulate loss that is not necessary.
Continuing my bitcoin holding is the thing, I am just following because no one could predict the bottom has hit or yet to hit. But, keep holding is just way of supporting bitcoin also I am not having any near time commitments for my bitcoins hence keep holding regardless of how much potential losses I am incurring are least bothered. I just keep holding not for 2019 end but for 2030.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin go lower than 2k? on: December 15, 2018, 05:12:29 PM
https://www.coindesk.com/when-bitcoins-price-breaks-down-it-follows-a-pattern

Says that BTC might go down less than 2k is this possible and how fast will it go up?

I also saw that the ETF decision was postponed how long time do you guys think it will take for them to conclude a decision?
It would be really difficult to reach there but at this point I wouldn't be shocked with any price. We didn't believe bitcoin would drop anything below 5.8 thousand dollars neither but here we are at 3 thousand dollars or so and people are afraid of another drop in the price, hence I doubt it would be a shock to anyone if the price went down under 2 thousand dollars.

I don't think it will drop there, I believe it will go above these prices eventually but just because I think price will go higher doesn't mean it won't go lower first. If it goes lower than there is really nothing stopping it going under 2 thousand neither, no difference than going under 3 thousand which it looks so close. It all depends on a big huge sell off by someone who owns a lot of bitcoins.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Aren't we killing the market ourselves? on: December 15, 2018, 01:10:07 PM
Most people are here complaining about the dip in crypto and asking when the market is going to recover, yet they are the same people busily dumping all their holdings hard on exchanges. Who should continue holding and stabilize the market for you? Don't be a selfish investor.
We are also keeping the market alive ourselves as well. Crypto markets are not something that is regulated or controlled by any one power. Which means there is nothing that backs up crypto prices neither. When bitcoin worth $20k at its height it was there because people believed the price should be like that and we valued each bitcoin that much.

When bitcoin drops to 3 thousand dollars it is not because outside affects, it is because people with bitcoin sold their bitcoins and there was not enough buyers which means we killed it ourselves. Whatever happens to any crypto currency price ever, it happens because the market (meaning us) decide to make that. There are no government regulations on the price, no one will go to jail for manipulation bitcoin prices. Hence we do kill the market but we also keep it alive at the same time.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed? How did they approached you? on: December 15, 2018, 12:25:10 PM
I get messages everyday in Telegram.
Most of them approached me as investors, group admins or affiliates.

One way to detect them is that they will approach us first. And they always start with 'Hey User'.
Real investors or admins dont simply approach other people until we ask for their help first.
I can't really say I was scammed personally because I was involved in a bigger deal but I basically lost money twice in a communal way.

First one, was cryptsy which was one of the early multi coin exchange in crypto world, think of it like today binance or bittrex. I had some money there and when they claimed they were "hacked" they just took our money and left, I can't say I was scammed because they basically took everyone money and didn't really aimed me about it but thats still money lost for me.

Second one was hashflare where I have spent money to get hashing power but in the end they claimed it wasn't profitable anymore and closed shop and I never got my money back from them neither. All of them together I have probably lost about one bitcoin in them but right now not much I can do about any of them.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it good to recruit other person to join Blockchain technology? on: December 15, 2018, 11:45:42 AM
We must encourage people who have no idea to the cryptos. Teach them how to use and explain what is the benefits of it.
This is also for the good of our industry .
Remember the status of cryptocurrencies as of now is endangered and the value of bitcoins is gradually dropping .
So, the good thing to do is to spread out the operation of Blockchain technology.
I still think blockchain has a lot of road to cover, I mean it is a great technology and definitely worths the attention it is getting but think about it even in 2018 we have seen so many improvements on blockchain technology which means there are still a lot of things blockchain could be improved upon and the world is not even remotely catching up with it. There are some places that started to use blockchain technology but they are not really a lot in number so the world need to start using blockchain technology while it is still improving as well which means it will be a painful process for many places that uses the current technology and may end up wanting the improved version later on as well. It is marvelous that we are living in a world where it is harder to catch up with the technology that is improving all the time around us.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency users statistics on: December 15, 2018, 10:54:46 AM
Cryptocurrency users statistics:
The experts of the marketing agency BDCenter from Belarus analysed the work of the 30 most popular cryptocurrency exchanges in the world.
See more: https://www.xmlgold.eu/en/news/article/782/cryptocurrency-users-statistics/
The numbers are a bit misleading compared to percentages because there are not so many people who would like to accept they do use crypto in places like china because of a risk to be punished about it. China is actually leading the world in crypto however even at a 11% (which is misleading like I said because not all that say they don't use it are telling the truth) they have a bigger number than USA's %30. Which means we should be focusing on more about population rather than percentage.

But, if we focus on percentage there are places like Singapore or south Africa where people are 30-40% and even more to use crypto. In my country there are 15%+ people using crypto as well because it became such a regular part of our lives last year and it was a shock when a person who is between 20-40 years old and not had any relations to crypto at all, people who never even cared about crypto were either little kids or elder people.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it a good idea to buy some bitcoin now? on: December 14, 2018, 03:32:48 PM
As currently, Bitcoin price is about $3400, almost the lowest price of past 10 months.

Is it the right time to invest some for the moment?
Maybe we should be waiting right now. I am not an expert on bitcoin or prices and I have been involved for years however I really don't know what it will do next. The Christmas is around the corner and we are still waiting on the big players to join us with nasdaq, sec, bakkt and all those news which is couple months from now so it probably won't do anything big right now but I doubt it will do anything big as soon as there is good news, it will probably either do it earlier to prepare or it will do later to react.

I am still not too sure and uninformed on the subject but I prefer waiting to do anything, maybe we can start buying when the trend starts, for example if bitcoin rises %10 in an hour you can buy some for the hopes that it will go higher and if it doesn't you can sell, however no need to buy right now when its doing nothing.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Perception about BTC to rise in 2019 is good? on: December 14, 2018, 03:01:34 PM
No of users of cryptocurrency are growing ,more and more govts are recognizing the BTC ,several institutions have come forward to accept crypto, most of the traders have booked profit and almost sold their holdings are the indicators of  the rise of prices of BTC in 2019. Do you agree?
People do have high hopes for bitcoin in 2019 but we can't really know for sure until the 2019 comes. If the price really goes up like people want it to than it is fine, that way people will get what they want from bitcoin. However, if it doesn't go up like we imagine and even goes low than people will start to panic and start thinking the end is near and everyone will keep on selling.

Buyers are not big enough to cover such a loss and we will see a doom like situation with it. Hence, 2019 hype is really a light thread for us, if it goes high that is amazing and if it goes low it is worse. If people didn't have any expectation at all than whatever happens would be fine but since they have expectations whichever direction it will go it will go with %100 boost under it taking it further than it suppose to.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 14, 2018, 02:23:20 PM
India are fighting back strongly in this test match however I think Australia is in a strong position on 255/6 as this pitch is very tough to bat on and as the pitch starts to dry out it will be even tougher to bat on. If Australia can get around 300+ runs then it will set them up nicely for the win as Australia's pace attack is a lot stronger then India.
You still believe Australia got better pace attack than India ? Just check how Australia suffered in the first test match of this series. As of now, Australia may score up to 350 runs in their first innings whereas I am expecting India to bat for second and third day and may score 600+ runs and then it would be easier for them to bowl out Australia with less than 200 runs to win this match by innings. All these depend on how India opener will start after Australia finish up their first innings.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe 2018 betting discussion on: December 13, 2018, 02:47:59 PM
I don't really understand how they select a winner, everyone who goes there is obviously very pretty, otherwise they wouldn't be there. These people are the most beautiful people in their country for that year and they are competing against each other but all of them are incredibly pretty as it is, how do you select the most beautiful one among all of those.

For example miss Philippines seems like the biggest candidate but what makes her prettier than say miss Iceland ? Doesn't the preference has a play in this ? For example I would prefer someone with white skin and blonde hair and blue eyes, which is miss Iceland to me, however this doesn't mean she will be selected because there are judges on there, maybe judges prefer mixed race, wouldn't that automatically give Iceland worse chance ? I mean I give examples of Iceland and Philippines because one is not given any chance at all and the other seems favorite in a subjective race.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Cryptobanks Future? on: December 13, 2018, 12:43:02 PM
Friends, I have recently read an article on the future of the banking system thanks to proliferation of smart contracts, some countries are already preparing cryptobanking projects, and this should happen  the next few years. Actually the conclusion of the article was that the free financial market - cryptocurrency is the future for the financial system. Do you agree? Is it so positive, or will the state regulation complicate things, but in my opinion it is inevitable for the banking sector, in your opinion?
There are three phases we may need to go through before having society where cryptobanks are dominating. These phases are being assumed to happen based on how a new concept will be accepted and will be incorporated where security and convince are most valuable criteria.

In the first phase, traditional banks will adopt blockchain technology and few cryptos but customers will not be allowed to protected by decentralization's concepts but you may enjoy a part of crypto banking along with our current banking-centralized-system. I guess this is purely an evaluation just due to the emerging technology, blockchain. Both banking system and customers will realize the benefits of having a blockchain based system for their financial needs.

In second phase, people start to realize having a decentralized system for their financial needs which may lead to have non-regulated crypto based banking sector still you may need to depend on third party but your privacy and being anonymous kind of features will be provided. Your employer may prefer to pay in crypto using these banks and you pay taxes only for availing services and buying good but NOT at all for your income.

In third phase, people start realizing why they need a banking services when their wallet itself having all the functionalities of a bank. Now, you may not need to pay taxes even for services and goods as taxes are optional only if you prefer to declare your financial activities.

Yes, crypto banks are the future but it would take more time to function as a most commonly used system.
12  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what are the things to consider when looking for a good exchange? on: December 13, 2018, 11:09:57 AM
There are some platforms that are really good and has every features you will ever need, but their only problem will be the support team, although they are not scam, but due to the poor support people will start to believe that they are scam.

I’ve experienced that before, a good exchange but you will find it difficult in reaching out to their customer support because they never get to reply. Best thing to do is to abandon them and look for another exchange. Some of them do have a responsive support, but they are never able to solve your problem.
Necessity of good and active support is mandatory for every business and you cannot be sure when you will be needing an active support from your exchange. I have been into crypto space for more than five years and in this five years I have rarely contacted support of my exchanges like just 2 to 3 times only. I mean to say when you are with a very good exchange then you will rarely need to contact their support. Also, it does not mean you do not need to measure an exchange in terms of their customer support activity.

Each and every aspects should be up to our satisfactory level so that we can conclude an exchange as a good exchange. But we cannot be sure that a good exchange will remain good for all the times. At the same time we cannot go for analysis each time before we start a new trade.

Staying well aware of this community opinion is the only solution in front of us to deal with a good exchange continuously.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: cryptocurrency or stock market. on: December 12, 2018, 04:47:54 PM
As we all know, the stock market has been around for a very long time now and on the other hand, cryptocurrency is a trend that is increasing rapidly when it comes to the world of trade and commerce. Some may prefer to invest in crypto because of high returns but some will still go with the stock market and play it safely.
In your opinion, what would be the best choice to invest your money?
Depends on the market situation and your knowledge. If you know how to invest into stocks very well than select that, if you know which coins have a lot of potential and can invest accordingly than invest to that. If stock market is collapsing than invest into crypto, if the crypto market is collapsing than invest into stocks.

Now, on a situation where both of them is collapsing and you do not have a preference on which one you want to invest into than you need to decide what the risk and reward you would want. Crypto is a lot riskier but has a better potential to profit whereas stocks have less risk but doesn't have the potential gains the crypto market has.

If you want to get rich quicker than you risk your money with crypto but if you would rather profit slowly but surely you invest into stocks.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your quit point for Bitcoin price? on: December 12, 2018, 03:32:20 PM
The market is full of pessimistic comments lately and most of the conversations include BTC price going under 3k. I really wonder at which point BTC investors give up and quit completely. What is your opinion about this? My thought about quitting never happened but if the price goes under four digits then I might be reconsidering.
For me its a thousand dollars. If bitcoin ever reaches a thousand dollars I will sell all my coins and just leave the bitcoin market for good, that is too much of a loss to keep going and I would rather make my income from something else. It would kill all my income and I wouldn't be capable of paying my bills if that happened. Even right now I am looking for a more "real" way to make money instead of keep working in bitcoin industry forever, if I am doing it at 3 thousand dollar or so, I will definitely move to that when it reaches a thousand dollars. However, I doubt it will ever reach that type of price again, even 3.5 thousand dollars was met with a shock and people bought up bitcoin (whales specially) because everyone believed this was a temporary deal.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC To raise before SEC decision or after? on: December 12, 2018, 02:55:05 PM
So we all knew the SEC were going to delay the ETF decision again, however this will be the last time they can delay it, and a decision will be made sometime before February 2019. How do you guys think this will affect the price of btc and crypto overall. Will it have as strong impact as last year when the big guys jumped the future train?
I doubt it will have a huge impact on the price whatever the outcome is. The price could go up or down but nothing major, we have seen bitcoin lose almost %50 in value this past month and considering that type of drop I doubt there will be a 80%+ increase in price even if SEC accepts the ETF. That is a more long term investment instead of a short term gain.

We need the ETF to just make bitcoin more legal and more legit, not just put money in it but also tell the world Bitcoin is here to stay and not going to leave anytime soon. With something like ETF it is highly unlikely that bitcoin is a "tech project" of someone, it actually proves that bitcoin is a big deal and it will be a world changing thing in near future.

Hence, I think we need ETF to be accepted for long term benefits but short term gains won't be big enough to matter.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Messenger for crypto enthusiasts on: December 12, 2018, 08:48:15 AM
Greet you all!
I earn my coins via ICO airdrops, trading afterwards and referrals
I hate it I spend so much time on my laptop, taking into account my trades have dropped. I would like to rationalize my time having encrypted messenger, e-mail, trading news (and mining hardware joking ) all on my dashboard.
Is it possible? Share your insights plz.
Telegram is basically messenger for crypto enthusiasts, it even had its own ICO to get funding from people (which I love, instead of corporate, people and users fund it themselves). They are not a product to have a dashboard to show that kind of stuff for you but they are "messenger" like you mentioned.

Your post and title are asking for different stuff, if it is messaging you are looking for there are thousands of telegram groups that involve crypto as main topic and you can use them.

If it is a dashboard you are looking for there are multiple different ones for portfolio, for miners, for gamers and many more, they are not all in one place but with couple of apps you can have yourself what you dream of. Definitely nothing for airdrops though, I think airdrop centered telegram group is your only way and it is on mobile too.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Playing the top crypto games on a budget on: December 12, 2018, 08:07:02 AM
All of them consist of things you can get for really cheap but worthless. For example I wanted to check out cryptokitties for a while to see if there was any chance of making a lot of money from it with sheer luck (breeding gone right) but honestly even the potentially good investments are already taken and expensive to begin with.

All those cheap kitties you can buy are really worthless and doesn't really worth buying to begin with which makes it harder to sell as well, so you are stuck with some kitties that doesn't worth anything, putting the gas fee on top of that would make you lose money instead of making any. Hence, if you are going to get into these type of games you need a bit of money and a lot of patience and study and research them very carefully to actually make that type of money.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2019 on: December 11, 2018, 04:30:51 PM
Over time and technological advances in the digital era, many people have been very interested in investing some of their money in the world of cryptocurrency such as Ethereum / (Altcoins). What are your plans for next year, and will you participate in the ICO?
Thank you.
ICO's only work when people make a lot of profit from crypto. When people get into crypto with a thousand dollars and turn that into tens of thousands of dollars in it was only logical to spend that money into ICO's because that was the only place left that wasn't skyrocketing, they believed they could get a coin for cheap at the earliest stage possible and wait for it to rise to skies one day, they felt they already made the most profit they could from other already established coins and turned their investments into ICO.

It means if the ICO's want to succeed in 2019 the other crypto currencies we have need to have a really big rally, the price has been really low for a whole year so it would require for a HUGE rally upwards to actually make a difference and make investors search for ICO's again.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think that Bitcoin atleast will fall to 1000$ and Ethereum to 10$ in some mont on: December 11, 2018, 03:58:01 PM
I think that the 'whales' will remain making money until BTC get 1000$. The 'big players' are selling their crytos after small risings, this make fall the general prices, some small investors sell their cryptos, and when price have falled some %, big whales buy other time, and this is a bucle, however, the risings every time are minors, the prices of the cryptos every time are lower. The normal price of bitcoin should to be 1-10$ with an stability price, isn't normal that their price was 15.000$ some months ago, and isn't normal that in some days their value could fall 20%, while these things ocurre, cryptos will not used for the transactions of the day to day life.
That "speculation object" can't go to one direction to make money too.

I do not agree that crypto became a speculation object and only here to make money, I still believe in the project and there are more places that accept bitcoin as a payment compared to previous years so it is becoming one of the payment options people will have in the future (and even today in some places) but even with your logic the price can't just fall.

How would anyone make money if the resistance is too strong and price keeps falling and falling, shorting can give you only a set amount of profit if everyone keeps shorting and no one is buying, hence eventually even the manipulators and speculators will have to realize they might be whales but they need to increase the price after a while in order to profit.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Concerning the future of bounty programs on: December 11, 2018, 01:51:11 PM
I am pessimistic that the bounty mission will disappear in the future, and ICO will not succeed unless ICO is regulated. The bounty mission is based on the ICO project, and if the ICO project disappears, the bounty mission will disappear.
Right now I'm too much concern about the future of bounty because there's no assurance that it will become success again like before. But I always tell to my self to keep believing and keep waiting for the good time in bounty program. And being optimistic can help us to keep participating in bounty and believe to it.
A good time will arrive but that may not be for the coins/toekn you're holding. I mean to say nothing is assured one here in this crypto environment. Be prepared for facing anything. Bounty programs may exist for ever but how transparent it will be working for both devs and participant is the biggest question right now in front of all of us.

Lot of people are making many good suggestions to bring changes into bounty programs but I'm not seeing anyone giving value to those suggestions. When we will be having a regulated environment for the bounty programs then that will be less scams to happen. We only need to bring changes to this environment, if we keep waiting for that changes to happen on its own then that good time may not arrive for ever.
