How to calculate the 'Amount of Claim' on the proof of claim form?

In my case specifically - What should be the claim value for undelivered MPP? (1.6TH/s worth of boards).

I made a second claim and stated four times the price of the (undelivered) upgrade kit for the MPP. Worth a try imo. The whole thing's pointless anyways probably.

I personally did not count on any mpp stuff.. I just want my original purchase payment.
I was wondering if people who were just owed MPP would be on the creditor sheet or not.    You would have to ask an attorney because I am not sure if that is a claim or a warranty.   I think warranties do not get honored (but I do not know that for a fact and have not paid to ask our lawyer since it does not affect us)

Ok so to summarise things:

If you are not listed on the list of creditors disclosed lately, then you have to fill the proof of claim form which is here: https://ecf.canb.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/autoFilingClaims.pl, to make sure that you are included in the list of creditors.

If you are already listed on the same list of creditors, then there is nothing to be done as Jessica M. Mickelsen will take care of our case and try to get back our refunds.

Is that summary correct?

As we have only 2 days left as others say, I would like to know for what purpose we have 2 days left... Is it only to make sure that we are on that list?

If you're on the list, I guess it wouldn't hurt to also file the proof of claim already.

Actually Jessica M. Mickelsen is HashFast's attorney, so she probably won't take care of us Smiley

The 2 days left is also the opportunity window to fill in the documents in order to be selectable for the creditor's commitee.

At least this is all my understanding.

Prepare to enter a world of stress

when you file the second claim, will your previous claim become void?

I think this is reasonable (upgrade board sold for $1500 each, i.e. MPP for one BJ = $6000).  And that people should claim it.  I will.  I think it's also more than a warranty.  Hashfast said that the full MPP was triggered and it acknowledged that they owed us the hardware.  I see absolutely no reason not to claim it.

I would also really, really encourage people that don't appear on the list to make a claim and tell the Trustee that Hashfast didn't list them.

In fact, since between us we have all of Hashfast mailing list (as of a few weeks ago), why not send out a mass e-mail (once per alphabetical section) alerting them to this?  There are surely people not following this thread.

As far as I understood no. You can refer to the first claim for any following. Address etc. will be taken from the original.

Note to the non US folks: the form cannot be completed without filling in a US state.

By the way, thanks for posting the link to the form Smiley

Well I think at this point we will most likely not see anything as far as hardware goes and if we do it will be months before that happens.

Why were you hopeful then?  The documents that are public so far suggests they had given up on delivering systems and were trying to get everyone to swap for chips by then.

That government form is not allowing me to register my proper address. It does not accept non US states or zip codes. Should I fax proof of claim to Jessica Mickelsen's fax number  as listed on the creditor matrix?

No, the hardcopy of the proof of claim has to be filed via standard mail, unfortunately.

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)
Hashfast.org - Wiki for screwed customers

Ah ok, no problem then. I will take care of that ASAP. Then I guess it goes to "Tracy Hope Davis  UNITED STATES TRUSTEE"

I'll fax AND mail him proof.

Damn you hashfast for screwing us _and_ inconveniencing us by forgetting to add some of us to your creditor matrix.

Proof of claims need to be filed with the bankruptcy court, not the trustee.  The address is

Office of the Clerk
United States Bankruptcy Court
Northern District of California
P.O. Box 7341
San Francisco, CA 94120-7341

You may include a cover letter stating the case name and number (14-30725) and requesting that the Clerk file the claim.

Ok, sorry. I will correct that. Thankfully I haven't mailed the proof of claim yet but I faxed the trustee. He will disregard it no doubt.

The way that operation was working when I made my orders, I wouldn't be surprised if Hashfast lost payments and doesn't even know who all its customers are.  When I paid for my upgrade card with a bank wire, it took a few e-mails to them, days after the wire arrived, to get them to acknowledge receipt.  They had to be sent the wire details a couple of times before they admitted receiving payment.

It seemed to me at the time, and even more in retrospect, that they had money flowing into their accounts that they didn't even bother to identify the source of.

Then again, I definitely don't put it past them to deliberately lose creditors it knows of as well.

What is the case name?

Could you also provide a template stating what information is critical in filing the claim? I am not in the States, and I am not familiar with these lawsuit stuff.

Case name is "HashFast Technologies LLC"

Critical info is your full name and address (has to match your proof of purchase - basically your hashfast receipt), and contact phone #. You may also want to include your e-mail address (I did). I also included my btc address in case the astronomically low chance of getting my original btc payment actually happens.
