High IQ + christian = paradoxum  Grin

Prove it.

Waging on popular consensus is not proof. but I know that's why you posted the big grin, because you know people generally agree with that statement.

Religious tolerance lol or more like the intolerant religious, nearly every forum I go to there is always someone who eventually comes peddling this shit inappropriately, funny though you usually dont see the other religions near as much as those who are smug in knowing nearly everyone but them is going on the eternal bbq.
These folks make me want to puke, I know I was once one until I saw the light and was able to look at it with an honest appraisal.
Oh well nothing more to say on this but the ignorant list has its first one.

Likewise.

religion hits close to home for most people
I once had a friend that was a "jehovah witness" and was dedicating her life to going door to door trying to convert people.
I thought about "GOD" for a long time in my younger days, and after all that thinking, i call myself a existentialist determinist, most say the two world views cant be mixed but i say:

"existence precedes essence, but the truth precedes all"

IMHO your all crazy for not thinking this way.  Cheesy

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Existence_precedes_essence
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Determinism

So you think people are crazy for not thinking your way. Got it.

There's medication for that but I would suggest suicide.
A genuine christian is suggesting suicide - Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin

A Christian cannot say what they truly feel? I'll be damned.

Well anyway, this has been fun, but I'm done with this thread and I won't be coming back.

Go read his recent posts. He is either insane or a troll...

Well, seems I have somebody answering for me. Guess I don't need to respond for myself in that case.
no no

i wana hear why bitcoin made your life worse

It's the community that kills it. So I figure I've wasted my time here, as my IQ has dropped. Unfortunately this community is a societal virus so there's really no escape. Just like the United States government is a societal virus that no one, not even the citizens can escape from (who have been mostly brainwashed).

I am an American. I left America... Smiley

(I am infected zombie and will eat ur brainz!)

Lucky.
144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who might realistically pose a threat to bitcoin? on: June 30, 2012, 12:26:55 PM
The biggest threat to Bitcoin is its very own creator, who is so much of a coward, he must remain anonymous. For all we know, he could be a United States government insider, hired to create this as some sort of "one world government" experiment. In that case I better be careful, because that's a very powerful group who knows what they're doing. I might be followed by mysterious characters after this post and may end up missing soon.

Some Christians are so obsessed with armageddon, that they are actually trying to make it happen!

Actually that is anything but the truth. it will be the worst time for us. Your side (evil) will be rejoicing, because you are deceived. My Messiah said "11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many." so that means also many "Christians" will fall away and join the delusion. So tell me how are they trying to make it happen? No true Christian would want armageddon to happen. It honestly makes no sense. In fact, the contrary is true. The Christians, if anything, wish it wouldn't happen, cause the hell we have to go through as your side continues to wage a senseless war against believers, ushering it in with your ignorance. We have to defend ourselves, and in doing so, you are walking further away.. Your choice! it was predestined to be this way. Notice how my tone is not at all surprised with this. I'm not saying the end is right around the corner, but every day it seems more evident with the content of conversation that I am sort of required to respond to, since people are mentioning a subject which I do have an opinion on.

I was about to leap to your defence and say "hey guys, religious tolerance", then you basically called all none-christians evil, so forget religious tolerance - you obviously don't want any.

Yeah you're right, I don't need your tolerance considering mercy doesn't come from you, it comes from God on Judgement day. Humanity is merciless, faithless and all around not good. It's a fact that we are all evil anyway. It's just that some choose to cling to it and forfeit the eternal salvation of their souls. I know that's because of ignorance. So I don't need the defense of the ignorant. What good is it, if it's insincere? I'm going one way, you're going another way. We will never be in agreement.

When has that not been true?

Quote
The Christians, if anything, wish it wouldn't happen, cause the hell we have to go through...

Many Christians, mostly of the fundamentalist variety, seemingly can't wait for Armageddon because that will be the time when they will get "raptured" up to
heaven to be with Jesus and so will avoid all the nastiness of this material realm ( and which is why the State of Israel gets more support from American
fundamentalists than they do from even American Jews ). That's what many of you Christians have been told by some of those "false prophets" and the like
even though I am not sure that rapture stuff is even in that Bible of yours... which btw was compiled by Romans ( Bishop Iraneus etc. ) for reasons of
politically expedience and is not history, or meant to be taken literally...  but you are free to do so as long as you don't try to force your beliefs on others.

These are just my opinions of course and I don't expect you or anyone else to accept it when I am quite agnostic about such things myself.

I do however find it very unprofessional and childish of Voorhees to engage in religious trolling with threads like this... and I would suggest it would be
best to not to try and argue with the "unbelievers", as you perhaps regard them, since they just want to make fun of you and your beliefs. Jesus
never did ask for his followers to go out and make a nuisance of themselves by trying to convert people. The whole "Christ" thing ( Jesus was not
the first who attained to the Christos, nor will he be the last, according to what I have learned in many years of comparative religious studies and
the like )  was originally meant as a school of the mysteries for only a few followers who were called to such a path... not something for everyone.
The whole evangelical thing is part of the distortion of the message of the early Christian mystics...  so everyone should just relax and try and
tolerate others.

I live in Texas and nearly everyone here confesses to faith in Christ, but I hardly see a single soul who's living a life in anticipation of any rapture. They simply have faith that God is taking care of His people. now unfortunately, I am of the opinion that they have forgotten about Jesus altogether. I don't know if you read the part where Jesus said, "Watch out! Don't let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by the worries of this life. Don't let that day catch you unaware,"

Other than that, I disagree with most of what you said, but it's okay.. believe what you want. I do agree that evangelism is not really the way of God. It's more of a private thing. but even Jesus agreed, when He said to go hide from others when you pray. However, this is not praying, this is witnessing or stating the truth which I feel compelled to do.

Do you still believe in Santa, too?

While most believed in Santa, I was one of those who never did.. and it made me angry that my parents would lie to me about it. Made me feel like they didn't care all too much about me, to be honest.

Funny how that works.

Keep it coming.

I have heard that one theory about the "666" relates to money. Apparently there was a Roman coin with the number on it. Because the Romans were hated by some at the time, the association with evil started.

Nice little theory. Unfortunately it's biased and not accurate at all just like most things atheists pull out of the air. However, you can and will believe whatever you want. and while you do that, revelations are being fulfilled.
156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6.66 Mark of the Beast!! ZOMG!!! on: June 29, 2012, 06:31:51 PM
As a Christian I noticed it was lingering around that number but didn't really think much of it. After all 666 is a number just like any other number. Plus some say the original number of satan was actually 616. Not to mention, as a true believer in God, I am not to be afraid of the devil because I know he's utterly powerless in the end. However I can see how quickly the world is moving toward the fulfillment of prophecy. To think that Bitcoin is satanic though is kinda silly. The mark of the beast will be clearly recognized when the world makes the decision to embrace satan, and follow him as their God, thus creating a scenario where those who do not concur with them shall be demonized by the demons themselves, at which point we can finally rejoice because their eternal doom is near. All they must do at that point is delude them selves to join the cult which will attempt to force the TRUE followers of God to worship an impostor, and that will be our ticket to say "no" even if death is the consequence. Remember what Jesus said and told us to do? "Watch."

sounds like you should stick with usd.  bitcoin at this point in time is not ready for Gavin's grandma but when it is perhaps you will be ready to use it.

welcome to the real world, mi amigo.  yes there is greed all around us. I argue, however, that wallstreet has more greed than bitcoiners.

Why are you speaking to me in Spanish? I'm not Hispanic. and please refrain from "welcoming" me anywhere. You are nobody besides a poster on a Bitcoin forum. What authority do you have to welcome me anywhere? and yea, argue all you want. I'm not arguing anything just stated how I feel. If my opinions offend you... well maybe you're the one who needs a reality check. Opinions are all around us. Speaking of grandmothers, my grandmother is more tolerant than some of you.

This guy is a plant, maybe someone should ban him for being disingenuous.   I am serious.

What is even more shocking is he is not a plant and actually believes and acts this way in real life.  I think a lot of people here are trying to explain to him how bitcoin works but he has a victim mentality and believes the forum and all of humanity is trying to get him.  In fact, on one of my posts I was actually agreeing with him but he played the victim and argued with me.

You're the type of person who would kill someone for their own good.

As a United States citizen I have no choice but to pay taxes to fund wars to keep our freedom.  Freedom isn't free.

Then how is it freedom?

Partially because I don't want to be banned, which is pretty sad in itself.

It's not plausible to think anybody will ban you for anything you say in these forums. It just won't happen. If you create a lot of identities and a lot of junk threads, then maybe. But not for opinions.

Opinions are merciless.

<snip>

That's just life and the only way you can stop it is if you kill me.

Atlas?

Stop asking me if I'm somebody else. There's no way to prove it anyway. Why bother? I can't prove I'm not.
160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difference between government instituted currencies and Bitcoin is huge. on: June 27, 2012, 02:41:11 PM
That's because not every opinion is an argument. I know, the English speaking internet has trouble grasping this concept lately. I'm not sure what percentage of the internet has had the experience of participating in a conversation within their lifetime.

The problem is not that in my opinion. When I go to a bar and start conversing (which is often not in English), and present my opinion, and someone takes me seriously enough to create an elaborate and well-thought response (be it right or wrong, honesty and effort is what counts), I can't just say "well I'm not convinced" without addressing any points they made. I've been in circles where that kind of interaction wasn't frowned upon, but good conversations just don't happen in such environments.

Too bad because that's reality. Opinions are merciless. Plus, I'm actually being much more humane about it than I need be. Partially because I don't want to be banned, which is pretty sad in itself. but also because I'm playing the devils advocate to an extent, by giving a vantage point of what I know certain outsiders would think about Bitcoin. Those kind of people won't tell you what they feel, because they're afraid to be in the position I'm in right now.. the line of fire. If I feel it, I'll probably say it. Even though I said I was advocating for others, I also feel this way. It is what it is. That's just life and the only way you can stop it is if you kill me.
