201  Economy / Economics / Re: Forbes 400? BTC Top 10? on: June 26, 2012, 08:08:54 PM
Not that I have the cash to buy 50000BTC, but I'm wondering how many people there are who actually feel comfortable enough that it won't get stolen in some manner to invest those kinds of sums.  Keeping your wallet 100% safe is not a trivial task for most.
202  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Citi Thankyou Reward Points on: June 22, 2012, 07:19:11 PM
Hi Folks,

First attempt to acquire BTC by selling something.

Looking to sell some Citi Thankyou Reward Points - 2000 points for 3.1BTC.  I have more, but starting small - PM to purchase, or post with any questions.

Please read the terms and conditions if interested:
https://www.thankyou.com/transferPoints.jspx

Especially..
"6. Transferred Points received expire 90 days from the date they are received."

So only buy if you have a near term use for them:)

If I have left off any critical information please let me know!

203  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: So can Bitcoins being mined via Solar Power? on: June 21, 2012, 01:10:40 AM
I'm thinking if a remote community in a developing country is given access (or additional access) to Solar Power, they could probably find more economically productive uses for it than mining Bitcoins!

Thinking of selling Chase Ultimate Rewards points (and some other programs) for BTC. There a way to do that on this site?
205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying bonds in mining farms on: June 14, 2012, 03:56:28 AM
I was wondering about this myself.
If mining becomes unprofitable, then the value of your bond would surely drop - so preservation of principal would seem to be a concern.

At least mining yourself you can sell your GPU's if they stop being useful for mining.
206  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [WELCOME] [GPG] I'd like to welcome the new members. Do you use GPG? on: June 14, 2012, 03:45:32 AM
I must be a newbie..what is a GPG?
207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can bitcoin become the currency of the people and replace money. on: June 14, 2012, 03:30:21 AM
To me the big problem is security of the bitcoins.

I would seriously consider putting a fair chunk of change into BTC longterm (basically betting on the currency's long term success) but I am not confident in my abilities not to either have my wallet stolen, or 'lose' it.
208  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduce yourself :) on: June 14, 2012, 02:16:42 AM
Hello folks, trying to figure out to operate in bitcoin safely for larger amounts.  Seems like if you invest too much you make yourself a target for hackers.
