1581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What got you hooked on Bitcoin? on: October 03, 2012, 04:28:47 PM
The story so far......
=========================

April 2012  Silk Road curiosity brought me through TOR (I never bought anything, thought the whole idea was different)
               Paying with bitcoins intrigued me
May  2012 Started doing some reading
               more reading
June 2012  several weeks later I've done the sums and worked out THIS IS PROFITABLE!
July  2012  Got a Bank Loan
                Spent $4,500 to $5,000 setting up a 8.5GH/s setup
Sept 2012  Pre Ordered a BFL SC
Oct   2012   Already paid off 30% of my initial investment

A little ways down the road...
=========================

? ?  2012      Receive BSL SC
? ?  2013      pay off my debts

WAY down the road...
=========================

? ?  2020ish  Be rich as hell
? ?  2030ish  Invent the ? ? ? ?, become the world's first trillionaire

1582  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC testing on main net is wrong, PERIOD. on: October 03, 2012, 04:11:44 PM
If Butterfly labs were to be using the rigs to mine, would we assume that they would mine on EclipseMC? Thinking against that, their total hashrate hasn't really changed since ozcoin sent a lot of their miners to Eclipse (it went from 1.3TH/s to 1.8TH/s)

Or then again, if BSL_josh/Inuba was smart, he's figure a way around it like...

*using another pool
*Mine on his own
*change the sites programming to not reflect test rigs.

I did happen the see Inuba was mining at 550GH/s a few weeks ago, does he have a mining farm that big?

hmmm

Conspiracy theorists, DISCUSS!

Well I for one am getting excited.  only weeks to go until I get my 60GH rig Smiley  It'll make my GPU mining rigs look weak.

A little over a week ago ngzhang anounced his proposed production of the 'Avalon' ASIC with >= 60Ghs for about $1299 (about double the hashrate of BFL's Single 'SC', and Cablepair's bASIC)

Not quite double, closer to 50% I think.

That's why I've got all the servers listed in my backup pools. They've all gotta be down for me to disconnect from EMC Smiley

Inuba, you're mining at 400ghs? You must have some of those BFL sc hooked up?

Can't wait for mine. 40gh/s is gonna be AWESOME Cheesy

My reported total GH rate is about half what it should be
0.o

That would mean I was disconnected from eclipse servers for nearly half an hour

I trust Inuba will do whats fair Smiley

Inuba, do you mind posting on the first page ALL the different servers.  I noticed pacific rim isn't on the list. It took me HOURS of trolling thru the forums to find it.  my connections to the server has been heaps better since I've been using it.

My big question is are you goin to be able to continue the awesome job you're doing now, when you start working a BFL?

I'm taking a bit of a poll, and I'm kinda curious who pays how much per kWh and where with who? I'm kinda betting Australia is currently the dearest (or one of).  This information may be useful to anyone that wants to startup a mining Investment company.

Also, no smartarses who get free power (or who steal power from work...)   Grin
I'll add everyone's responses to this first post.

I'll start...

----------------------------------------------------------
Price per kWh      |      AUD 20.69c
Current as @       |      March 2012
Provider              |      Ergon Energy
State/Province     |      Queensland
Country              |       Australia

Server and site are down for me at the moment. Anyone else experiencing this?

Me too. Your miner still connecting?

1599  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For Inaba & Аdministrations on: July 26, 2012, 11:21:49 AM
Dear Inaba!
You say lies a little!
In the first. On my a purse arrived transfers, because of YOUR mistake, for total amount of 47 BTC. It is not necessary to speak that I stole at you 100 BTC, it is lie!
In the second. I didn't register that day other accounts on your service! It too lie! I registered next day 1 account what to check it my operating account is frozen or again your service is buggy!

I will boil. I don't consider an event as theft, since. You allowed to take away from you 47 BTC. And that you do what to give, all the same, to the passerby of $100 and when it will depart on 10 meters to start to shout that he is a thief! It meanly and not adequately respect!

This guy is quite obviously a Russian gypsy thief.

And to boot he's using google translate, which is mincing up the English.

I've tried to cash out manually, after calling Darkice, so he could warn Inaba, just to keep the money safe and return back...but I was late, it was already empty  Sad. I could've saved around 30btc.

I decided to hit CASH OUT on BTC55 thinking to do what you did.  didn't come thru though.  Wish it had, cuz I'm an honest SOB Cheesy
